I rode my MT09 across the country. If I had the storage and extra wind protection of the Tracer it would have been a better trip. If I had the GW it would have been a waaay better trip. But, we went to the Tail of the Dragon and I'd rather have the MT09 or Tracer once I was there even though the GW handles really well. Based on what you said you ride now the Tracer/FJ may be a better next step. I ride two up with my wife so the GW won out overall. It's a great bike for trips and even around town but I worked my way up to that size and weight. If you still like to "rip" the lighter bikes may be preferred. If you can test ride a newer GW you'll see that they are nimble and have power but they are not a naked sports bike :)

It's a ram mount for the handlebar portion then a Quad Lock mount that has a 1" ball adapter built into it. You also have to have the Quad Lock case for your phone.

That's awesome! No way I would have hit that on mine. Maybe if I had put a jacket on and gone down hill with a tail wind.......and lost 50lbs😂

Just depends on what you want. Looks like the ryzer comes with the drop down internal sunglasses which the covert does not have. Looks like a great value!

Thanks! This would be a big jump up from a scooter. It's very well balanced and they give you "walk" modes to help you move the bike in tight parking situations, but it's still a lot of bike.

It's from Quadlock. It has a RAM mount adapter.

Just covering my bases between bike and accessories added, they all have varying size nuts and bolts. I did get rid of some redundant sizes after making video.

The K1600GT has more power on the top end but to me the GW was the overall winner. I think the GW feels lighter, more nimble (less top heavy), and more comfortable. The power of the K1600 is awesome but the GW is no slouch. Both great bikes!

@@mjdcycles Because if you ever get pulled over by the police, you'll have to go into your trunk in front of them, thereby giving consent automatically for them to search your vehicle! You should always keep it on your person!

I have a 23' wing and have been in law enforcement for 19yrs . You don't have to worry about those types of issues unless you're doing something illegal. The officer would still need consent to search though. Unless you have something illegal in plain sight. (im only speaking for my state, the law is different from state to state)

I had the Street Glide and have ridden Ultras, the GW handles so much better imo. The HDs are great bikes but for me, the GW wins.

@@razorwired130 with a helmet and no earplugs I can ride at those speeds for shorter rides. If I’m going for long rides I put earplugs in.

It's not as bad on the highway as it is on side roads but you can't avoid hitting bugs on a naked bike. 😂

@@harshalyeole0811 I use the speakers with my Sena not Bluetooth headphones. It would be super tight with like AirPods in your ear. I don’t think I could put the helmet on without knocking them out. There is a cutout in the helmet for speakers that go with Sena or Cardo headsets.

I use Rever on the phone and computer. I'll make the route on the computer and yes, you export it to the "Goldwing 2019+" option on to a thumb drive. Then take it to bike and use the cubby USB to import to bike through bike Nav menu. I then unplug USB and reconnect USB to phone. I'll also have the route on my phone but Rever does not show your route on CarPlay, it just shows live driving. I end up with the route on the GW and have the phone as a back up. We ran into several spots on our trip where we lost phone signal so if you don't have the route offline on your phone the bike Nav comes in handy. Like I say in the video, just make sure your waypoints are on the road and that you will pass through them so that it doesn't keep trying to reroute you back to the missed waypoint. As a third option, I'll use Google Maps but it usually looks for fastest most direct route and won't look for twisty roads. We used it to find gas or food mostly. Thanks for watching!

Hey! The stock seat was pretty good. I did have a gel seat pad with me that I alternated between stops some days. After riding all day I don't think any seat stays comfortable.

It was our first time in the Black Hills of South Dakota and there are so many great twisty roads up there!
