I'm a long-time cryonicist myself. Disproportionately few women sign up for cryonics, but in my 30+ years' experience with this community I've noticed that the ones who do join cryonics organizations on their own initiative are generally train wrecks. I can think of only a couple of these cryonicist women who are wholesome married mom types, and that's because these women's husbands and children give them their natural sources of meaning and purpose. Seriously, it's a bad sign when a cryonicist woman is older than 30, she has no children, and then she starts to get her cryonics org to freeze her cats when these animals die. *_(No, I am NOT making this up! I've seen cryonicist spinsters do this. They even call these catcicles their "children" and their "family," and they express the hope of being reunited with them some day.)_* This shows that the woman has failed to form relationships with the husband, children and grandchildren she would have had in a healthier society. I don't what see what these sorts of female cryonicists have to live for now, much less what they expect out of being revived and then "living forever" in a speculative Future World which is technologically competent enough to pull that off. In fairness there are some male train wrecks in the cryonics movement, like the satellite radio weirdo who pretends to be a woman so he can steal credit for real women's business accomplishments; the gay sex tourist who is wondering now why his health in his 60's is wrecked; and the real loser I knew slightly who died from a heroin overdose a few years ago. But on average the male cryonicists tend to run their lives better than the female ones.
