Ill tell you what man.... thank you. I almost ordered a motor for mine without taking it apart, it was a sock in my water pump. Thanks for reminding me to look before i react
Absolutely! Thanks
Great Hack! Thanks.
l just changed all my spark plugs, l had a problem with the drivers side rear plug. All of the others came out. It helped me to know l could unplug the top coil wire and when its down and out of the way it give the coil wire a angle where l had more leverage to twist and unsnap the wire from the spark plug. Now l have better access to the last coil wire. The vehicle has 150 k miles yet never had them changed. l also changed the oil, trans fluid, breaks, rotors, and tires. heading for many miles ahead. You learn something new all the time. Thanks again. 1998 E-320 4 matic still on the road.
Great! A little maintenance can go a long way in keeping that car healthy and on the road.
My 2000 ml 320 sunroof leaked bad from the run-off tubes getting severely plugged up. I've since applied duct tape to the sun roof. That problem shorted out most of my electrical goodies. I'd suggest watching the TH-cam video on removing the outer front panels covering the outer front wheel wells to access the tubes in the pillars & removing the probable damaged head liners to acess the rear pillers. My headliners collapsed & the stereo & rear window defroster doesn't work & the list goes on all from the sun roof pillers leaking...
I have same motor as yours. I did everything up to now. For light wash, whole process is good include spinng but failed spinning for heavy wash. This afternoon I checked motor again and found outside motor coil is copper (brown) color but inside coil is almost black color. So my guess is, motor is burnt. Can you give me information, What color is inside coil of your motor ?
HELLO, Sorry for the delay. The winding should be copper. I FOUND A GOOD WAY TO TELL...AND NOT ALWAYS IS TO GIVE IT THE SMELL TEST. Usually if it's burned out it will smell like it. When copper wire burns it will turn black, but not always. I can't say for sure, but it sound like it's burned. If you are familiar with electricity try going direct current to your motor and see if it works...and ONLY do this if you know what you're doing. If not I suggest you call a repair person.
@@ogsgarage7889 I tried direct current to my motor and it works very well. Just only heavy volume of wash, motor is very hot and trips power between rinse and spin. So I handled manually put timer just after rinse point then machine runs rinse and spin without problem. But for light volume of wash, it runs whole process without problem. Anyway thank you for your help.
@@andrewjeon6507 Hello, You didn't mention how old your machine is. Perhaps the motor is just getting old and on it's way to replacement or you are overloading it.
@@ogsgarage7889 Now, my guess is as yours. Thank you for your explanation.
Thank you!
Hell yeah man
I've asked a few people but I don't think I've ever got the right answer what happens if that wheel bearing goes out while you're driving
Hello, The bearing first of all would make a warning sound that something was wrong on that wheel. It would only get worse as you neglect it. A worst case your wheel would wobble and make tremendous noise to the point you couldn't ignore it. Your wheel would not fly off if that's what you're thinking.
Hey really great
Hey, thanks
are the oxygen sensors BOSCH
Hello, There are many manufacturers of sensors. I suggest sticking with the better ones. Penny wise dollar foolish.
Mine has burn marks on the red cover just like this on those same to contact zones. What causes the initial problem? I don't want to buy a new switch and have it go bad from some other cause. Thanks!
Hello, Probably the cause is just natural wear and tear from the switch constantly being used over the years...(kind of like the starter in your car) If you plan on buying a new switch it should work fine. I would replace it with confidence, there is no other reason that would make the switch go bad. Just make sure you get the right switch for your machine and make sure you place the wires the same. Good Luck

Exactamente idea 💡👍👍👍🚀
excellent thanks
Replaced spark plugs and now car randomly shuts off and comes back on and occasionally fully dies
This happened after you changed plugs?
what does this relay do? What are the symtoms if it's bad?
Hello, I don't know the exact purpose only that relay is related to the control module that controls cars ignition and starting. I point out the location of the relay as a means of something more to check if you are having problems with your module. Sorry I can;t help you further.
Thanks!
Pep Boys wants $1200 to change four struts on my 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe!!!!!
You can do it yourself if you have the time, sockets, a jack, some stands and follow my videos...save $1000 bucks. Actually you have 2 struts and 2 shocks. You can buy the whole set on ebay for around $200.00
Thanks for the great video! very helpful, I’m changing my front struts on my 2006 hyandai Tuscon right now and I like the visuals, you explain it very well. Thanks so much, I hope u have a lovely day! 🫧🖤
Did you do yours yet?
Great video, thanks
My washer is a lot like yours. A Kenmore series 8 large load that I got refurbished many years ago for a good price. About 5 years ago I ran into an issue much like what I'm having again the last few days. Long troubleshooting story from 5 years ago, but after checking all the common symptoms I narrowed it down to the that white lever in the motor junction block that cuts out the start capacitor circuit when the motor reaches high enough rpm to engage the centrifugal clutch on the motor shaft. I forgot all that stuff in 5 years and have to relearn how the reverse switching of the motor works from the timer through the capacitor and the junction block to find out why if I do a load of laundry my machine goes completely dead after the wash cycle. But I can get it working again by unpluging the washer and unpluging the wiring terminal from the timer. I've just yesterday found that if I catch the switch over from the wash cycle to the drain cycle (where the motor hums but the water doesn't drain ) and I use the agitator to move the tub around it will start to drain and finish the load. Wish me luck in my adventure into finding the cause of this one.
Sounds exciting! Good Luck!
Hi OG I have an old GE gas furnace and I had to replace the blower motor 2 winters ago. This winter one of the motor mount bushings slip;ed off and out a mount leg. My GE is from the early 60's (as close as I can date it) so I'm kind of attached to it by now, since I started troubleshooting and giving it it's first cleaning probably 15 years ago. Mine doesn't even have a control board, just a standing pilot with thermocouple, 23 volt transformer for the gas valve and a high/low limit switch. I've got an old Kenmore 80 series large load (I'm troubleshooting now and a 06 Civic Hybrid
Was it jumping/hopping?
Thanks for sharing. Like the approach. They make a kit with a threaded drill bushing , extractors and a long drill bit. My thought is the retainer pin is junk and needs to be made out of a better material and/or the profile on the pin. Change it so you don't have the stress fracture to start with. Lots of vibrations etc there. Got lathe to make part so that a go. Extra kit is the common fix, but replaced with a crap retainer pin. Anyway will be dong my wheel bearing and seals this weekend lets see if I shear of the bolt/pin. Many do. Like hearing Rush in background. We lost a treasure there.
Thanks for your thoughts.
The best and covers all the bases - great video
How do I check and see if this relay fuse is any good? The power assembly relay
Hello, There are a few step by step videos on TH-cam that can show you exactly how to test them. Good Luck
This was a short video but you definitely made it look really easy. Now im confident ill be able to change mine out thanks ❤
Were you able to do it? How did it go? Any snags I should know about? Thnx
@juana1483 yes I was able to do both sides and it's really easy, just takes a little patience. I've done it on 3 different cars already
Wonderful! Thanks!
Is it the same for throttle cable and cruise cable ? I have both cable
Hello, If you're having trouble with your cruise control it could be your "Cruise Control Actuator" not the Pedal Sensor.
what is the tool called the one you use to hammer it in?
Hello, It's called "Bearing Race and Seal Driver" You can purchase them at auto stores or Harbor Freight or purchase it on line. They range from 20.00 and up depending on how elaborate you want to get. The one I'm using is the Maddox MD10-1 Kit. Maybe you can get them cheaper used. Good Luck
72 and move around bout the same as this nice gentleman. Prob worse. My baby needs both sides. Been asking for years with increasingly loud roar at 30 mph. I appreciate being able to have someone show me how to. In Omaha Nebraska Thanks
Hello, Glad to help you out. Good Luck.
Is this the same for the 2.7 v6, can't really find info on it
Hello, I'm not sure. If you can see the sensor as shown then everything should be the same. If there is no sensor there you might have a pedal sensor.
That was a great walk through the areas, and yes, don't kill yourself on every little bit keeping it prestine and stock for a cheap, non collectable older mb. My 2001 ml320 with 240k miles has its own interesting revisions because it's just a simple commuter mini work truck. Just popped in to see if there was anything extra to check as to why my hvac fan stopped working, it's new, and it's 15f degrees outside so not a good time to lolly gag figuring it out working on it outside.
Exactly! Good Luck...stay warm
@@ogsgarage7889 I noticed they yanked the stereo, likely the same problem as all of them and mine, FM and CD player stopped functioning and no fix exists. My work around was just using the cassette player to cell phone/mp3 input to restore new functionality. Also, my left turn signal stopped working, and there are several sub assemblies you have to tear into with no gaurantee's at all you are going to fix it, the shops and dealerships can't handle it but will take your money attempting to fix. I just soldered in a toggle switch and relay/timer, that's a bit jerry riggie but it's functional.
Old video but thank you, saved my butt, it’s getting harder and harder to find guys like you that fix their own stuff, thanks you for this
An oldie but a goodie still applies. Glad it helped you out. Thanks for the good comment.
Thanks for the help boss!
Same problem here. I went to the junk yard and yanked a whole rear end to swap because fuck it.
Thank you so much for your help
You made it look easy compared to other videos, thanks!
Thanks for the video, how do you know what wires go to what spark plug. I have a ml320 and am getting random misfire trouble codes and I can't figure out if I have the wrong wire on the wrong spark plug. Thank You
Hello Each cylinder has two plug wires. The first wire on each cylinder is nearest to the front of your vehicle, lets call them the #1 plug wire just for reference. That #1 plug should go to the top (a) on your coil and the next one over #2 wire should go to the bottom (b) on your coils. This is true for every cylinder.
Thank You, For cylinders 123 the longer wire is labeled with a K which plugs to conection b on ignition coil. but on cylinders 4 and 5, instead of having a longer K wire, I have the shorter G wire. I am also getting a misfire error code on cylinders 456. So trying to figure out if by having the shorter G wire, that is causing my fires.@@ogsgarage7889
Just got done pulling the rear bearings out and I went to put the new ones in and they just slid right in... is that how that works? I thought I would have to hammer them in???
They should not slide right in...sounds like those are the wrong bearings for that hub. I would not use them like that.
I am thinking of getting a rebuilt ebay throttle. Good idea for my 2004 hyundai santa fe?
Hello, What rebuilt throttle part are you referring too?
@@ogsgarage7889 the throttle with a spring .an older type.
Thanks for doing this, I am going to try it. One question, when this is done, is your rod position going to be either full in one position or the other, position (EG: full hot or full cold) or 1: can you still use some trial and error to position it, or: 2: if you set the temp dial to a certain location, and then move the rod, does rod automatically get positioned at that temperature that corresponds to what you selected on the temperature selector dial?
The door will open to full cold or full hot You will not be able to go between temperatures. I regulated the heat/ cold flow by the fan speed. If you really need temp control replacing the motor would be the way to go which would require the dash removal or carefully cutting an access hole in your firewall...or ??
@@ogsgarage7889 Thanks for the reply. At the moment I cannot seem to move the plastic arm in spite of moving the temp control dial to hot or cold. But it did move last spring when I manually moved it by hand. Later today I plan to remove that horizontal bar as you suggest and see what happens. After looking around one item I may have to use for a push rod may be an old whip from a VHF antenna. I'm thinking that your idea to cut a hole in the firewall is also a good one, the question being what is the best way. Obviously, Mercedes engineers should have designed these with an access door built into it, just like they did for the fuel pump. Also BTW, I recharge the aircon system in our ML430 (and various other vehicles) every year using 2 cans of difluoroethane (Dust-Off), and a Mastercool 3 in 1 Side Mount Can Tap Valve (Part #85530).
Your made rod goes in the hole where the small horizontal bar is removed from otherwise the horizontal bar will keep the plastic swivel from moving and will still be held from moving freely by the bad motor. It's important as you know to maintain the proper pressure.@@MountainParameters
@@ogsgarage7889 Interesting. I popped the horizontal bar off, and inserted a right angle pick into the plastic tab to test. Seems to be stuck solid in the 'cool' position and I cannot move it back or forth in spite of changing the temp dial all the way to hot or cold. I do recall that when I first adjusted that piece about 6 months ago from hot to cool it moved freely, so I'm surprised that it is seized now. So after watching another video, I realized that it is the horizontal bar that changes the position of the blend door, not the plastic articulating arms (which are attached to the faulty and seized actuator assembly). So by grabbing the horizontal bar with a long pair of needle nose pliers, I find I can easily move the blend door to the open and closed positions with no resistance at all. I am surprised that your method works because with the horizontal bar not connected to anything, I can't see how your blend door is actually being adjusted.
Yes noticed that too.
Your a good guy! 🤙🏼
I have a 2007 Santa Fe and it stalls at red lights occasionally but starts up after a few minutes. Is this the problem! Mass air flow sensor?
Yes it sounds like you need to replace it. Happened to my 2007 as well and I had it replaced and runs great again!
This was super useful. Thank you.
Thank you sir for helping us with the same trouble it is appreciate..... but can you when we try to fallow your soooooo long explanations please speak a bit more faster and stop repeating the same sentences many times ....... and it is hard for us to fallow your explanations when you move the camera at any direction but not the one you want to show us, so please next time to center and stabilize your camera use a tripod or anything else like a fix camera support. It doesn't matter if you don't zoom at each detail, you can do it in a conclusion time like explain in step by step it will be esier and more professionnal but that doesn't mean we are not appreciating your video but just less moving image it will help. .... Sorry to loose my patience in my comment but if you review your own video, you will probably feel the same as me now. So thank you for your video it help many persons with the same problem on these Mercedes, every Mercedes ML350 to 500 from 2002 to 2005 have encounter the same problem and if you make it repair to a garage it will cost an arm and a leg so thank you for your time and effort it is helping many people. It is with experience that we become better, in any domains even in stabilizing and filming a video. Thank you you save me a couple hundred bucks.
Talk about long explanations!...funny!
big ups
done this, was easyyy
Happy to hear.
