How much did I lose?! (After Texas Snow 2025)
In this video, Shamonn is walking through on a garden tour after the Texas Snow 2025. We didn't get as much snow as others since we are further south. It was good to see the snow but glad it didn't last. Enjoy the video!

@@huntressmma1822 Right! Everytime I get one that the birds haven't got to😂
❤❤❤
What shavings did you use?
@@putinhynes3848 They were pine shavings.
Which variety of pomegranate did you plant and did you plant 2 for polination.
@@putinhynes3848 I have a Texas Pomegranate & 2 Wonderful Pomegranates. I try to get trees 3 at a time because of pollination...I feel like 2 isn't enough.
Very good and thoughtful video. Still freezing here. I believe however my plants will be okay. I’m 8 hours east of you in zone 9A Florida
@@urbanbackyardcontainergardenin Thank you! They should be as long as you didn't have any summer crops. You all got more than we did.🤯 Hope your garden pulls through!
@ Thank you 🙏🏿
Democrat😂
To the garden?
@@michaelfowler5760 Yes! Its my happy place.
Ahhh the pretty wind chimes blowing in the background. 💜 Great tip with the frost cloth instead of the bags. Are those towers good with wind? Like are they weighed down with something? I’d like to try that someday but I wonder if they would withstand the heavy winds we get here? Hope you are staying warm now that your outside chores are done.
They are pretty sturdy...we get high winds out here also. You just have to make sure to keep soil in them. Each one is pretty heavy once filled.
It’s really cold here too in zone 9 Florida. Stay safe and warm
I know!!! We don't normally get this cold in South Texas. Y'all stay warm and safe also.
It’s gonna be so cold 🥶 🙃I’m ready, but not ready😂
@@NicoleSmithGardening I know! I really hope they are downplaying it cause it would suck if its like 2021🤷🏿♀️.
Real country people have jeans over their boots not tucked in
@@Raegan-i8m Really??🤔
@ yes, most of all country people wear jeans over their boots unless 5ey are muck boots
They not 5ey
@@Raegan-i8m I'm positive we are country...but thanks for the comment.
It is my first time on your channel and I have just subscribed. Thank you so much for sharing. Keep up the good work. All the best on this journey
@@myhomeandgardenchanneldwel7777 Awhhh Thanks for watching and subscribing. I appreciate it!
Yes. Gotta start early. I have five cuttings from my tomato plants that I have growing. Thank you for sharing and happy gardening 💚👨🏿🌾
@@urbanbackyardcontainergardenin Lesson learned from last year💚 What varieties are you growing?
Hey, gorgeous ❤️ Yep! We gotta start early. I did tomatoes on the 18th of December. I’m doing Sunrise Bumblebee in 2025 too 🧡
@@NicoleSmithGardening I didn't think it was going to get so hot so quick this year. So def starting early this time around for Spring. Yay! Great minds think alike!
Your peppers are thriving. Fantastic job!
@@Wolf369-. They are! I'm so surprised since we already had 2 cold fronts come through.
Very healthy microbes.
Love the greenhouse! Building one soon and definitely inspired🫶🏽
@@ndcd01 Thank you!!!
Looking nice! I'm in San Antonio and was also thinking of building a greenhouse using wood and glass.
@@Jack0375 Its perfect for our area..if you do it be sure that your windows are able to be opened😁
@growinginsanantonio5306 Thank you! I definitely am planning to have windows and possibly a ventilation fan because it does get hot here in the summer.
@Jack0375 Very true. It gets way too hot without window and some kind of fan.
Beautiful progress!
@@mamakukuhomestead Thank you!!!
Thank you for the update 💚👨🏿🌾
@@urbanbackyardcontainergardenin Thanks for watching! Its definitely been a process.

Awhhh!!! Thanks! I love yours also!😍
How well did the mock orange cuttings experiment work? I'm trying my hand at some softwood cuttings myself
Well let me telllll you, it did not work at all. Not 1 took😔. I forgot to post an update.
Any luck with the rooting? I have a pretty huge one that i would love to spread around the property 😊
I Would say that ,them cutting were probably dead within 4 days.
It is not work at all. I used the medium rooting powder so maybe that was the problem. Not 1 of them took😔. Maybe try the stronger rooting powder?
@@growinginsa thanks!
The army knows
Monica youur
Most birds are omnivores. Including hummingbirds. Bugs and small lizards, frogs etc are in many birds' diets. Crows and raptures will raid song bird nests for eggs and chicks. Rats hunt birds roosting in trees. Its not all cats that decrease song bird populations. Then theres human interferance with destroying habitat. Thats a major cause of bird decline. Construction.
This is true and good info!😍
Fresh food over freeze dried❤😅
Definitely!!! Poor lizard though....He'd been helping me with the bugs in the garden.
She had no clucks to give😂😂
Bahahahaha! Right!!!
Chickens are carnivores Creatures.🥱🤭🙄🥺🐓🐔😳🐐😮
They are!!Ppl think the just eat grass😒🫣 But now they know!🤣
Ma'am that garden lizard is breakfast.
🤣🤣He sure was!!! He should've stayed in the fence.
😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤
Chickens are funny as heck!
She says yum
🤣🤣 Shortly after, another one took it from her and ran!
My girls grabbed a tree frog. You should've seen the fighting over the carcass. They are definitely tiny raptors.
Lol!! They do not discriminate! Right!!!
Bạn chia sẻ rất hữu ích cho những người chuẩn bị bắt đầu trồng cây 👍.
Thank you!!!
I love how much space you have as well
If I could go bigger...I would!😂
Nice i love it
Thank you!!!
Beautiful harvest. What state are you in and when do you start planting to get leaves so large? Love your video. HIV
Sorry about the late reply. I'm in Texas. We can pretty much grow all year long here. It only takes about 3-4 weeks for the leaves to get this large (from a 4 inch seedling). You can harvest before they get this large though.
Everything is looking great.. New subscriber here.
Thank you!!!!

😂😂😂Thank you!!! We eating good down here🤤
I stepped on one today.. omg! My word
I'm so sorry I'm just seeing this. Did it heal okay?
Do pensy. Like cold or warm weather? When is the right time to plant pensy from seed ?
Cooler weather is better but they still bloom in summer. Here in South Texas they stop blooming around Jun/Jul timeframe because its way too hot.
