Spinoza’s God: The Mind-Blowing Philosophy That Inspired Einstein - Baruch Spinoza
Baruch Spinoza; a philosopher whose ideas radically reshaped how we think about God, nature, and our place in the world. His ideas were so revolutionary that centuries later, even Albert Einstein was inspired to say, “I believe in Spinoza’s God, who reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists.” In the 17th century, at a time when Europe was deeply divided by religious dogmas and political conflicts, Spinoza proposed an entirely new way of understanding reality-one that challenged both religious and philosophical conventions.
So, who was Baruch Spinoza? What made his philosophy so revolutionary? And how does his radical vision of God and nature continue to influence the way we think about freedom, happiness, and the pursuit of knowledge?

Discover your True Self | Introduction to Carl Jung and the Process of Individuation
Actually, a lot of this is from the buddhahs teaching. Spinoza became enlightened from contemplating life.
I just learned this morning that we share 50% of our DNA with bananas. Is DNA Spinoza's order of nature?
To say that god is nature is logically equivalent to saying that there is no place for any god in nature, or that there is no god. When anyone proposes a deep one-ness of god and nature they are denying the existence of god in a way that is designed to avoid offending the millions of people who call themselves religious. Unfortunately, to say that nature is god is therefore nothing more than word play. That is to say, it tells you nothing about either god or nature that you do not already know.
Tragically his death at a young age was probably due to his work as a lens grinder. Inhalation of tiny glass particles leading to pulmonary fibrosis..
I dig it…
Antibodies attack and kill germs 🦠 Insects 🕷️ attack and kill and eat other insects. Animals attack and kill and eat other animals. Human beings attack and kill and sometimes have eaten other humans. Christians say angels attack and killed other angels and finally God killed a whole world of humans with a flood, allegedly. What else do you have to know about the nature of existence? We live in a predator/prey construct. I call it a construct because I really don’t know where we are.
Thank you so much! Recently events shook me up and I appreciate this more than I can express 🙏🏼🦋
So, if your thoughts are stolen/replaced, all of the philosophy becomes questioned because there is no freedom in thought. Those that steal and they CAN now become an order of instead of an order to. This is an interesting direction, but the wrong theft and there maybe one could be cataclysmic!
Translation new life direction
Great channel. Glad I found this.
He refuted Judaism and said it caused division. Meanwhile, Einstein believed the new state of Israel was comparable to Nazi Germany
It is an insult to Spinoza to call him Baruch. He did not use that name, but the rabbis of Amsterdam cursed and reviled him by that name. He used the name Benedict, and published under that name. He was always referred to as Benedict Spinoza until fairly recently.
Spinoza’s ideas were not biblical.
Apart from not seeing a transcendent God Spinoza was a person of tremendous faith and courage and amongst the best and greatest in philosophy.
Belief can be limiting. As Einstein just believed in Spinoza’s God; he believed in a God that was immanent but not transcendent, or that all that exists is here. That may be why he denied that the ether existed, because if no other dimension or dimensions existed why would the ether be needed to separate what does not exist? Now what science calls the L-field or Life field that separates dimensions is just the ether under a different name. The ether still exists and traditionalists still refer to it as the ether. It is not defunct. Spinoza was wrong in seeing only an immanent God and Einstein was wrong in not seeing the need for the ether as he also saw just one aspect of God the one that was manifest.
I w give a chance????
Its interesting that this was so revolutionary of a philosophy in the west because many of these ideas have been established for thousands of years in eastern thought.
Spinoza, Einstein...message incoming from Brainwashing Central.
Nature is God and God is nature? That doesn't answer conclusively the questions "Where did everything come from?" "Who or what initiated the big bang?" "Who thought out the whole idea that there should be an infinite universe?". If God is behind it all, where did he come from?. The more I think about these questions, the more I get headaches.

To reason is good. To reason clearly is better. By what determination do we ever find ourselves to be in the clear? Except by virtue of the truth which stated, is, that "All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God", and that backed with the affirmation, "You shall know the truth, and the truth will set you free". Question the truth vigorously; never rail against it, lest your offense be deceit...... Invigorating introduction to an interesting character.
In the Netherlands parents used to say: “continue that way my son, and your name will be Spinoza.”
It don't matter who's celebrated supposed "Thinker" you base your view of GOD on, it only indicate that you are dismissing, abandoning your GOD WITHIN that's yours to GUIDE you, upon request and "TRUST" on living with that guidance. However they celebrate the "Philosophers" of old, by the telling of their thoughts, it tells "Me" they weren't brighter then myself, might be edited, but their concept of GOD is at kindergarten level in comparison to today's "SINCERE" TRUTH SEEKERS, as the "Bible" is Satan's Personifications Masterpiece Theatrical Production.
Everything exists in a permanent “Now” !
My theory is that GOD IS THE UNIVERSE AND WE ARE THE LIFE CELLS, humans created religion to gain power and division through chaos.
Einstein was a 33degree Freemason,so was Copernicus,Galileo,Darwin,Newton who’s theory of gravity has never been proven ,no doubt there are many more lying bastards, these luciferian wicked people are the ones pulling the strings, every world leader except for a few are controlled by the lodge
Many thanks for your excellent video - it brings together everything I have come to believe during my long life.
This makes total sense to me….but……God does not need to be mentioned!! There is no God, of any description or religion. We are an outcome of a random Universe governed by natural laws. God is a man made construct purely to keep the masses under control in times when knowledge was limited. Religion is the epitome of evil and is responsible for so much genocide, mind control, wealth collection from the poorest people and wars over centuries. It has NO place in a modern enlightened society!
So Spinoza was a Buddhist?
In quantum mechanics it niw seems that dome firm of 'motivator' is critical to the cause of the Big Bang.. this conteadicts Spinoza's rejection of such an involvement by (an otherwise disinterested) in Creation, ie Love.. that converts Spinoza's Deism into Theism.. But well done Spinoza for a viable foundation..
If you want to know about Spinoza, speak with Jeeves.
Spinoza, the first Zionist!!!
This is not his thinking . Hindu philosophies are based on this since 10k years . " I am everywhere " krushna says in bhagwat gita written milenias ago . " I am in river , mountain , tree , planets and even in every living and non living thing including you oh arjuna" krushna says . Brahmann is the original singularierty from everything manifested including multi verse in RIG VEDA the first of holy scripture of hindus . Very old philosophy we hindus have Been practicing ( not folliwijg) since milenias .
Religion is a prison of ignorance & fear! 10,000yars of war over who God gave the holy land to & still going! 144 different branches all saying they are wright & the rest are wrong, they all can't be correct, so all are B.S. for control. 90% of all first peoples have been murdered for a verbal history thousands of years old & their Owen story of creation & God!
*Given that Mr. Spinoza chose the first name, "Benedictus" for himself, I have always thought that he should be referred to that way, that is, "Benedictus Spinoza" (instead of Baruch Spinoza).*
Baruch means blessing in Hebrew. I understand Benedictus to be the Latin form of blessing or blessed one.
I find any group dictating rules that their god proscribes to be utterly lost. God doesn’t live in any building, no matter how grand. It is everywhere and in everything that you do.
SPINOZA WAS AT BEST, HALF RIGHT.❤
If god is nature, why use the word god with such a lot of burden, instead of just talking about nature?
People who like this kind of thing are smart, we recognize AI right away and we don't like it. Who's with me?
This probably wouldn't go down well in the Vatican....
Nature is the one true church and we are all believers….whether we like it or not! It’s the only religion that we cannot live without.
So basically, he invented Common Sense.
all nature is god .. but there must be deeper understanding as some want domination and not peace ..and they can achieve it by mimicking nature .
E=mc2 GOD = GRAND OMNIVERSAL DESIGNER We are stardust/photon secretions expanding at 600000MPH rotating the sun at 600000MPH spinning around at 1000MPH parked on earth for a moment. We will live forever.
Sorry, I choose to believe that I have free will. I'm not just a cog in the wheel.
I can get with that. Over 70 years, I find I came back to it more and more. It fits the modern mind, aware there are great expanses, a vast universe, and billions of years of development. The very abode of deity is no longer just up there in the clouds or up on that stormy mountain. Speaking of that, I loved the art. It's a job to dig up relevant visuals every time I know. But what's up with nipples on the male-looking angel? AI always has some weird elements too.
False Einstein Believe I the Messiah, in the real God of Abraham Jacob and Isaac, Spinoza is a bad man
Enjoyed this video. Good production and I like your voice - accent. North UK? I found what I was searching for in advaita vedanta, but it's not a million miles from Spinoza so I can see a lot of truth in this. I've not noticed you come up before but I will look out for future videos. Thank you.
Completely contradicts the essence of Prophethood- the root of which is the communion between God and man. Every step beyond this contradicts spinoza thereby disproving his simplistic understanding of God- reducing his understanding to that of Al Pacino’s “absentee landlord”. The purpose of man’s creation, his heightened cautiousness, the potential of his intellect and his free will all combine to appreciate and strive towards the Creator. Spinoza is correct in that nature is a reflection of God as is every creation, including man. It is incredibly naïve to reduce God as an outside entity that does not interfere with the machinations of His own creation- thereby, making obsolete any strides by man to establish a link with God, a communication or communion. Verily, every human creation has the capacity to feel the essence of God, regardless of one’s education, religious upbringing, ethnicity, or other criteria. Rather the only criteria to experience God is that of righteousness.
This reminds me of the Advaita Vedanta in the Indian tradition, and of "Tawhid" (Oneness) from the Sufis. This is far beyond what we usually call faith, creed and religion.
