Sally is Black and Blue! | Sally | Blowing Springs | Bella Vista, Arkansas
Sally is broken up into 3 Sections. Why? I don't know. Most of it is Blue with some of it Black.
Sally is located in Blowing Springs in Bella Vista Arkansas. Blowing Springs has some of the best mountain bike trails in Arkansas!
If the goal is to get from the Blowing Springs Parking Lot, Take Blowing Springs Loop counterclockwise to Cooper Elementary Spur, to All American which will lead you to Sally North. Sally North will lead to Sally Mid, however, to get to Sally South, make a left on Wonderland and go a short distance to Sally South. Sally South will climb up to the RV and the UFO. From there you can do Ace of Spades a Blue paved trail and Area 51 a Black Trail.
As well, you can take Through the Looking Glass back into the Wonderland trail network.

    I’ve been itching to checkout Lake Leatherwood since I’m a downhill fan. How’s the terrain? I’m a bit worried since I’ve heard people talk about it being very fast and loose (kitty litter). Is it that much trickier than the terrain in the rest of the region?

    • @mikewatson8776
      @mikewatson8776 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@RockSlagRally Hey Brothah! I do not recall any kitty litter at Lake Leatherwood. It does have huge features on some trails. They have an excellent shuttle service if you are in to that. The climbs are longer and so are the descents. Every feature has a ride around. Some of the trails are fast and flow with others having some sweet chunk! Lake Leatherwood is a big favorite and probably Fadi’s number one. Don’t hesitate to hit it up. It may have just got some weather and Lake Leatherwood does NOT do water well. Give it a few days to dry out after a rain. Otherwise you will end up with donuts for tires! Be sure to take a friend. For one thing, it’s better with a ride buddy, but also can be remote for the just in case scenarios.

      @@mikewatson8776 I think the rework is only going to clean up the intersection where junk drawer and traverse meet, not a full rework of all the trails. That area is confusing if you’re unfamiliar with it since they removed the truck.

    So where Would you consider the MTB capital of the world? It would have to be Free, already have over 1,200 miles of Free to ride trails, be building about 8 miles more a month, have tons of bike shops, be ridable Year Round, be 100% E-bike friendly, have affordable places to stay with trails right out the front door and actually Welcome people from out of town.

    • @mikewatson8776
      @mikewatson8776 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Don't misunderstand my intentions... :) I moved across the United States to live and retire in NWA because of the mountain biking. You are absolutely CORRECT! I can't and will not argue that. NWA is leading the edge and tip of the spear in providing a mecca of riding for all ages and all skill levels within a concentrated arena. The volume of trails here is insane and actually a part of community development! The mountain bike vibe here is one of my biggest draws here. Take a trip out to St. George Utah, Moab Utah, the Pacific Northwest, Colorado and even California. Singletracks that drop 5,000 feet in 7 to 10 miles. All amazing stuff. Maybe you are right, maybe this is the MTB Capitol on the planet. There are concentrations of trails in other parts of the world as well. They all provide a stiff competition. But there is nothing like the combination in NWA.

    • @onlysendsmtb
      @onlysendsmtb 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@mikewatson8776 Look, You stated pretty strongly that NWA was NOT the MTB capital of the world. I didn't say it was. You obviously feel pretty strongly that it isn't. I'm just wondering where you think it is. What are Your criteria? I've ridden in Moab and Park City and Trestle and Breckenridge and Sun Valley and Killington and Ashville, etc. All have great qualities and I'm sure lots of people would say that any one of these is the MTB cap. of the world...but they all have issues. Even the ubiquitous Whistler is only ridable a few months out of the year...and it ain't cheap when it Is open! I just got home from Colorado. Pretty lame. So many trails, so few open to EMTBs. Same with Utah. Same with Pisgah. Every place has an area where it lacks. NWA too (lack of elevation), but NWA took the initiative and "called it". They own it.

    • @mikewatson8776
      @mikewatson8776 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Picking a mountain bike capital of the world is totally subjective. If I were to choose a Mountain Bike Capital of the world I would choose Moab. I have ridden the Kokopelli trail at least 7 times, the Whole Enchilada, Captain Ahab, and dozens more. And then there is Sedona, have you ridden Sedona Arizona? I’m certainly not going to choose a location based on their acceptance of eBikes, and I am absolutely not going to get into a debate with you about eBikes. Bentonville has self proclaimed itself as the Mountain Bike Capital of the world. What a fantastic war to wage to win that claim! As BKXC stated. When there is a war to claim the Mountain Bike Capital of the world title, the mountain bikers win! Bike on! 😏👍

      Thanks for the reply!!! We felt we did most of the climbing the direction we went, which I would say was South to North, or Clockwise, if you included Cody Monster. North to South I would say Honey Badger would have more flow and the tech would be more rollable as you would have gravity on your side.
