But a 50 mm on an APSC is actually a 75 mm. So shouldn't you recommend a 35 mm instead?

Hi! I got this camera two days ago so i havent had the time to test it a lot yet. I have some questions and id really appriciate if you could answer them. What are your tips on when to use the L settings and when to use the D sertings? In what situations or light conditions. In combination with/without flash as well. And i wonder how i best photograph indoors, with not much or no daylight and just the warm light from roof lamps etc. do i use the indoor setting, do i use L and flash? Id really appreciate any advice you have! Thanks in advance!

It might be good, but their customer relations need to be improved, and delivery times are non existence.

I do not like the Rokinon/Samyang 35mm 2.8, I got (2023) the Sony Carl Zeiss Sonnar 35mm 2.8 T* ZA used for US $215 (taxes included) which is much better built and I can recommend it. I will also recommend the Sony Zeiss Sonnar 55mm 1.8 T* which I saw used ar my local store for US$ 350 in good condition (there were 6 of those !), there also was one which was beaten up at US$ 175.

Thank you for your video. I 100% agree. It is a wonderful camera, even in 2024. I actually own the RX1 and also the RX1R II. Both are amazing and while the RXR II is technically speaking more advanced, I find myself using the RX1 a lot more. The images out of that little camera just always have a more artistic quality. Hard to describe. It just has character, almost like analog photography. Speaking of analog - and this is related to the battery life - I accept the low battery life, it still is much better than those days, when you had to change film every 24 or 36 images :-). While I own several and more modern cameras, this is the one that practically is always on me. They are hard but not impossible to get and mostly for decent prices nowadays, but still stand the test of time if you know about their weaknesses - the biggest probably being the slow autofocus - so don't attempt to take it to a sports event.

The 1,5 crop just helps for the distance. The lens is still 56 mm so it cannot give you the same forms on the subject than a 85 mm

I bought my RX1 in 2014. It was awesome at the time! But now, my complaints... 1. Autofocus tech is 10 years old 😞 2. No software updates...Sony you suck for that!😝 Still...it was KickAss in its day & will always be my irreplaceable Classic and I will keep it forever.

I own 3 Peak Design clips for years now. It is fail safe and 100% reliable. The $20 extra in cost is worth it, especially when it is securing $2000 to $4000 in camera and lens.
