Hardjaxx - Storm Desert I have no idea. I think since it was a free to play game and not enough people buying micro-transaction items and that’s what most of these companies do when their game isn’t selling enough. If anything, FEAR 1 multiplayer was the best one out of all of them. Not sure if their fear combat game is still up or not

Joseph Holt you know what? I actually had fun taking those sound effects and placing them in the same timeline whenever I was shooting my marker. I can definitely do the same thing for whenever the next time I play and there is another player shooting. I also just want to see how many people like the effects of not.

Joseph Holt I do have a goblin deuce, which is a small cowboy style shotgun that I have the spreadshot sfx for it!

Pharaoh TV what I think the whole series is all about counter-bio-terrorism. You should give the very first resident evil or the GameCube remake a go!

Raven Gaming yea I never said I was pro Quake player, never will be either. Last time I checked to see if there was any ppl left and all I saw was around 2 or 4 players. Not sure if the status now though

I heard there was a couple of problems here and there that caused the community to not play this game. Multiplayer is actually fun, just feels different than from quake 3.

Mr.kniFe14 In fact, I remember at the time, no one was playing Quake 4 on the 360 so when i plugged in perfect dark zero, LOTS of people was playing that.

Well no reason to buy a 360 then shame... Cuzz hardly any one plays the PC version either.

+Zio McCall holy shit, I remember this game was pretty laggy that day. if you noticed i got that pistol kill even though the guy totally ran past me. I only got the "YOU FAIL IT" message once at the end because i got killed so many times in a row. Good skulltag days. Plus i was playing on a crappy pc that wasn't recording well enough.

You deserve a medal only for killed a player with a pistol XD

To me, the "YOU FAIL IT" Medal is as common as a Frag when playing SkullTag servers on Zandronum. :^(

+OrangeRaccoonTV Well I said new-ish. I'm not sure when I picked it up only that a lot of people were playing it. I have it for 360 too and could not find a game to play over the console. I guess I should have said in my first comment that I first played it for the PC version of Quake 4.

+KrazyDanProductions I had the same problem on the 360---I couldn't ever find a game online at the time but I did find several games of perfect dark zero instead. This game feels different than from quake 3 arena and such.

+zRexx Wasn;t a debate between us. It was that one guy who kept going on about 4 thousand something damage from one of the halo rocket launchers or something.

There is something about brutal doom that rubs me the wrong way, especially the third person view death animations. Also some of the weapons you can aim down the sights and zoom in, and all kinds of nonsense, just make me feel like this ain't Doom anymore with that mod on. I thought that nashgore.wad file before this crazy brutal doom nonsense was badass, and it was perfect for any deathmatch mod.

Third person death cams are great, but brutal doom is now just boring....

So anyway, is there a link to the current version of this TC?

***** I have no clue to be honest. This was way back when Skulltag was once in development. Whenever Carn had cut the cord on the entire project, and Zandronum took place, I kind of stopped playing Doom all together. It was wierd because I was working on a deathmatch mod at the time but nobody really was interested in it, so I just gave up on that.

:(. Well luckily I know where to download the TC. I thank Armyman12002003 for having the mod in the description, although I don't know if that's the current one.

It was the worse update, which pretty much killed Quake live for good. The only game mode that wasn't hit with loadouts was duel, but I don't really care for dueling honestly. I'm already satisfied with free for all but loadouts???? Come on...leave that shit in call of duty or tf2 but...you know what? It's whatever to me..

***** I think the loadout thing is meant to make respawns less brutal because both quake and ut have a brutal snowballing effects (i.e. initial weapons are shite). Back in the days they could've stuck to shotguns like in older quake games but setting shotguns as initial weapon now means massive level design tweaks that aren't worth it. I haven't reainstalled the game but I give kudos for some stuff like item timers, hopefully players' map control will improve. Global anythings, I'm not a fan of that. And yeah they can't touch duel mode. It's the deepest part of the game, these updates are more about getting a new fanbase through deathmatch. We still have project free fall and reflex to look forward to though. Don' t know about project nex and reborn. UT4 is kind of a sellout:p

alex f Well, there's still Warsow, Xonotic, Open Arena and few others still out there that are worth playing. I guess not all is lost, but I just feel that the loadouts will still kill QL in my opinion. They should have made those in a separate game mode without breaking the whole damn thing. I ain't a fan of global ammo replenishment either---They're just dumbing things down just to cater to a much larger audience. Sure, it brings potential subscribers to their monthly charges and all but to me it's just not Quake at all with these loadouts and other friendly things. I admit it, I am terrible....TERRIBLE at Quake Duels, simply because I tend to do stupid shit...both unintentionally and intentionally. It really doesn't make things enjoyable when you have douchebags constantly spamming in the chat "i'm better than you!".

Yeah chat in duels doesn't help. The snowballing effect does't either because player 2 has all the items and player 1 respawns with a shit machinegun only to work out his loss; that's the most problematic thing about quake and ut, most people have to work out to lose duels. And quakelive can't get a decent initial weapon to give a chance to respawning players.

That was exactly how I felt when I played this game for the first time. same why with that team mate just camping in that office...lol IT'S SOO MEDIOCRE...

And yet I remember cool fear moments from other fear games. That's what hurts the most. The fear series is like 10 layers of chocolate cake, nuts, biscuits, m&m and all kinds of dolphin candies zomping around in the sea of pleasure I can almost taste. There's a lot of fog.

alex f Sorry I didn't reply to this soon If you noticed, the dust kicks up pretty dense in the original game. I'm not sure If i noticed it at all in the second or 3rd game in the series, but it was more noticable in the first game for sure....and not this new online garbage...

Yeah, first f.e.a.r. game is pretty old but still a bunch of the grudge/akira elements with matrix action. No wonder some people will always love it (and play F.E.A.R. Combat instead of other fears just because it's free)

Yea as you probably noticed, there's none of those "pay to win" gimmicks like most F2P games out there.

Good thing that freeware also counts as free to play.

artman40 The only complaint I have is that half of the time, the servers are like a ghost town. there's hardly any players on this game sometimes. Also, I would like a feature very similar to Quake live where you can see where your skill level stands against other players so you have a general idea of what to expect, but that's almost next to impossible to do.

They also have Quake Arena Arcade, which is the xbox 360 version that's in the marketplace for like 4 bucks i think? the only problem is that most of the time, the servers are like a ghost town.
