    I stick with Defender & Pummeler simply as "secondaries" when I run Grenade Launcher. Reprimand is a true primary but kind of in an unexplored niche.

    This is a cool (and fun) loadout. I've run quite a few missions with almost this same setup. My version: Eruptor (for frags) OR Blitzer Dagger (for unlimited pews + easy shrieker deletion) Thermites (for chargers and BTs) Supply pack Grenade Launcher MG turret (super-fast cooldown, good for all occasions) Autocannon turret Overall, I prefer the eruptor to the crossbow in general - but it's more of a skill issue on my side. I just have a hard time making the crossbow hit where I want it to. I end up falling way short or going super long, rarely getting the weakspot I'm aiming for.

    It's particularly not bad, but definitely requires recoil reduction armor, and mag size is kinda shit, but it can absolutely destroy berserkers and anything else

    The way to fix this gun is to make it one-handed and give it the recoil and spread it currently has in one-handed status and give it slightly improved spread and recoil with two-handed mode.

      this would be inconsistent and confuse players. no other one handed weapon behaves like this when used with one hand. just give it one handed. it doesn't make the weapon more powerful but gives the player more options to make it interesting. it will not overthrow the crossbow as being the best one handed weapon.

    Its good, it just should be one handed, or it needs to be 2 handed with no spread. Recoil is fine honestly, can be reduced with certain armors, but you can also fire it in semi.

    It fulfills the role of a smg , just a hard hitting one. The reprimand is too big to be a one handed weapon. The inaccuracy is appropriate for what it is, functioning well for close and mid range.

      Fair enough, the one criticism I have of it is that the empty reload takes too long for the small magazine size it has. I'm not saying it has to be increased a lot, but just a slight bit, since it uses up it's ammo so quickly.

      @@Th0rn5555 it does feel like a long reload. Burst mode seems like overkill for weak enemies. Controlled burst on auto seems to work well for ammo conservation

      “Close and mid range” compared to other close and mid range weapons is extremely inconsistent, it literally struggles to hit constantly at 15 meters, that’s not even close to being mid range. Simply remove the dumb “bloom” that shouldn’t exist in this type of game, and just give it a steeper damage fallof to fulfill close-mid range role of an smg

      @@BiggieJ4224 that kind of drop off in damage does not occur with real firearms in such short ranges. Bloom does occur in such firearms in rapid fire. Try it in semi auto. It works well that way. It doesn’t have a real scope. That shows it isn’t meant for longer engagements.

    Personally I really like the gun, it's become one of my favorite fully auto weapons. That being said, I think this gun is good, but not great. But it's close to being great, I feel like if they made just one or two changes to the weapon, then it would be great. I feel like the weapon is best at mid-range, not too close, but not too far away either. This makes is less likely for the shots to miss. I kinda don't think the poor accuracy is a dealbreaker, considering it's a sub-MACHINE gun. Not every bullet is going to hit its target My biggest problem with the weapon is the magazine, I feel like the amount of ammo it holds is too low to fully justify the long reload animation. I feel like making it either hold more ammo, or reload faster would be a great change.

      This is the one weapon I make a conscious effort to never fully empty it. I always reload with one round left, because the animation takes so long.

    I think an underbarrel grenade launcher for all of the ARs would be cool, or at-least the option of say, laser, grip, or launcher, since there are many stronger weapons and the ARs have always been some of the weaker options, so giving them more versatility (even just the capability to close bug holes would be incredible)

    Carbine already swaps mags way faster, more mags replenished per ammo box (100% with any ammo or resupply) and recoil increase is negligible with the two S-tier armor types offering recoil reduction at crouch or prone.

    it so funny how they just basically make a new gun for the 'press r and hold, then right click' for any other guns... xD anyone saying everything is perfect now and does not need change, they don't use the weapon enough, to feel the difference between all the weapon and how one is so bad compared to the others.

    I like the base idea but much less with a grenade launcher. I would add a knife instead, or a bayonet, would add more to the fantasy of the weapon, close quarters combat, and give it something cool that fits the rest of the warbond. Alternately an under barrel shotgun with higher AP than normal rounds. That being said if this change made it in, and the GL could destroy bug holes, I don't think I would swap off this weapon.

    Aight, I'll bite. Watching you play is painful, from the couple short clips you posted it's obvious you're mediocre at the game and that's being too generous. An underslung grenade pistol or grenade thrower on a liberator carbine as balanced, I'll have whatever you're taking please, because if it makes you that delusional it's gotta be pretty strong stuff. Son, just get some experience with the entire game before trying to make shit tier content like this. It's pretty obvious your entire argument is built around bugs. And for the love of god learn how to aim, or at least don't embarrass yourself with clips where you dump half a mag between a bugs legs. To counter your "argument" Lib carbine is good for close combat, stuff such as taking out pouncers, berserkers, sure it's not the best weapon in the game by any stretch of the imagination, but it's a tool for practically melee combat, you'll find its handling is far superior to other liberator variants when you actually learn how to play the game.

    As somone who uses the carbine it is the best vs bugs when you have a standard machine gun. It is better than liberator as the fire rate kills hunters mid flight as standard liberator you still take a hit on jumps. It dosn't need more ammo in the mag but more mags imo

    It needed something like a bayonet on it, giving it extra melee damage, which would make it work better with the armor in the same warbond that also buffs melee damage. Unload your mag, then start stabbing the enemies of Freedom with your super buffed melee attack. Sticking a grenade launcher on it sounds cool... but I do kind of feel like that would invalidate several other weapons, particularly the grenade pistol. Not a bad idea, but personally I like the idea of giving it a nice big a$$ bayonet knife on it to give it a nice melee option which would work perfectly with the idea that you're meant to mag dump into an enemy and then maybe melee them to finish them off

      I agree with the bayonet, it having something added for close range fits right in with its playstyle. Although I still like the Grenade Under barrel because I personally think it would be more fun. I don't think it would invalidate the Grenade Pistol though, likely people would just pair it with the Carbine so they can spam even more grenades, or take another sidearm like the Bushwhacker or Senator, even with this change I think plenty of players would still use other guns and pair them with the Grenade Pistol.

    I don't really think the Liberator Carbine needs to be changed at all. I don't even think its "bad", it just has a very niche playstyle. It's designed for fast, close quarters combat. Because of its high rate of fire it struggles at range due to its high recoil. So naturally it would perform poorly against the bots where you tend to fight at longer ranges. Obviously you are going to empty the magazine on a gun that has 45 rounds per magazine vs 60 rounds per magazine. Especially when that gun with the smaller magazine fires at almost 3x the speed as the one with the higher magazine. The Carbine and Concussive are extremely different guns and are designed to do completely different things. At the end of the day, if you're running out of ammo constantly, thats a lack of shooting disciple on your part, not the gun being "bad". All that being said, I do believe the Carbine does need one change. I think that since the Carbine is essentially designed to be a mix between a SMG and a AR it should be able to be wielded one handed like most SMGs are in the game. In regards to your 1 grenade per magazine idea, I don't think that'll really work. We already have a grenade slot, we also have access to a grenade pistol. I don't know if you played Helldivers 1, but we had a system where you upgraded your primary. The way it worked is that you would initially unlock the gun, then it would have anywhere from 1-4 additional upgrades you would buy for it. These upgrades varied from gun to gun but most of them were accuracy buffs, armor penetrating rounds, stun rounds, explosive rounds, bayonets, etc. However, once you bought these upgrades they were permanent, you did not remove them. There was nothing to swap them out for either. You just bought them to upgrade your weapon so it wasn't garbage. I don't really see a point in Arrowhead implementing a system like that at this point for Helldivers 2. Perhaps down the line they could look into something similar to Deep Rock Galactic's Overclock system where your primary was given a modifier that completely overhauled your primary and made it function differently. But again, not really sure how you would implement something like that into the Helldiver universe. I think Arrowhead having different versions of the same game is a better idea personally.

      The gun is not bad, but I don't have an incentive to pick it up over the other guns that do the job better. It defiantly has it's own playstyle, but for efficiency's sake it's not the best.

      @@robotthepine I think thats just the case with a lot of the guns in the game. Why run X gun when Y gun does it better. Lately at high level missions I've been seeing a lot of people run the Crossbow. Which is fine, use whatever you want, but personally I just like to mix things up. I hate running the same gun with the same loadout over and over, it gets boring for me. I like variety and will use something thats less viable or "off meta". The only meta I play in HD2 is have fun meta. I mean my favorite support weapon is the Spear and I get a lot of grief for it because the Recoilless fills the same roll and is arguably better in 9/10 situations.

      I would say the gun is absolutely fine is the Tenderizer didn't get a buff for a fire rate which is faster than this gun's with double the damage per shot.

      @@FlyinPieDude I used to run the crossbow before it got buffed, I only stopped using it because the Blitzer got better. I've also been using the Liberator Concussive and the Tenderizer a lot on bugs. I still use the Breakers (all variants, I personally think they are well balanced right now), and sometimes I use the Slugger or Halt.

    Nice first video you have there. Nice edit, nice length. I'm not really into Helldiver 2, so I can't really balance the game out. Also because of game logic. And I'm a little bit confused about your point here because you mentioned both the A and the C version and some info. I need a conclusion, time stamp or keep it on point here. In real life, both A and C version is kinda special. Carbine one is more for those who don't use the gun much, to carry more stuff like night vision sight and grenade launcher, or just use it, take advantage of the lighter gun. So it's close range by default and by the user. The A version see less use but solid enough. The bigger mag alone is to push out more ammo in 1 minute by less reload time, namely the rate of fire, or in game, DPS,. It's weird that they give the gun bigger mag just to later make it shoot so slow. (If going the machine gun way then your goal is to make it into a fortress, meaning that you stay in 1 place and shred everything. But I guess Helldiver is more mobile war) But both is niche. If possible, use a rifle, and a belt machine gun. Considering that Helldiver is more open field warfare, that would be better.

      Yeah, helldivers 2 has some Milsim elements, but arrowhead has taken a step back from realism to make the game feel more fun. If it helps clear things up, my intention was for my suggestion to help make the gameplay itself feel different and add to a feature arrowhead just added where we can swap ammo types. I personally think the weapon isn't used much so making it more unique would make it have a higher pick rate. I hope that makes it clearer, I also have time stamps in my description. My suggestion isn't based in any real world knowledge, mainly just some speculation on what could be "fun" overall. My Carbine is a strange hybrid of close range and mid range explosive which is probably impractical in real life but in Helldivers 2 it might fit just fine; bugs get close fast, so close range combat works. But at the same time bug holes (where the bugs spawn) get destroyed only by grenades or explosives, this is the main purpose of my suggestion, which I failed to explain in the video.
