I find Denoiser is a per-render thing. At times, it will try to remove things that are not fireflies. Example, trying to remove reflections mistaking them for fireflies. It usually happens when the scene has a lot of noise or fireflies. DAZ can't figure out what needs to be removed and what doesn't.

Thanks for the video! I was one of those who recommended CL3, glad to see you trying it out and enjoying it. I don't use the CL templates because my renders are much larger than their default size. I use 1920 pixels as a standard width for a full image; most computer screens use that a their default width these days, so it means my renders at full size fill the screen (length-wise, anyway). As a result I use that for a standard width for my comic pages, which means I've created several of my own custom pages, which CL lets you do.

Hello! Thanks for the message and compliment. I also am one of those people that usually uses the entire image for my comic. I really am impressed with what Comic Life 3 can do, and I'm definitely going to be experimenting with it. I may not create every new comic with it, but it certainly does make your story pop! I'll need to look and custom pages, I'm not that well versed in the program yet.

Thank you for these videos. Hair drives me absolutely nuts. I hate seeing a great promo image from like a bundle that comes with hair and a hat and when I try to recreate it, the hair poke through is insane. I keep trying to use Hat and Hair Helper and I have not had any luck using it without creating massive bald spots in the visible areas of the character's head. I've tried following tutorials about deleting hair geometry, but that has the same issue with creating bald spots. I know this method you've shown here moves the hair around, so there's also potential for funky spots, but it looks a hell of a lot better. For the life of me, I cannot understand how Daz has not done anything to make this issue better. I almost always just end up getting so frustrated that I delete the hat instead.

Hair has always been a big issue for me as well. Trying to pose hair when the character is in a different position, let's say with her head down or if she is upside down is always a huge issue. Many times I re-adjust the pose just because I can't pose the hair the way I want to.

double/triple click to re-edit the photo inside the panel, that last bubble on the bottom bar is a connecter bubble. A fun thing to play with is called inspector, under window "show inspector" it can edit the bubbles and a whole lot more. You can fully move the panels around and make weird shapes out of them. If you find/download/install a font you can use them in the program, you can also make a "stamp"(aka png) add it to the stamp folder to use for later, I made one to reference back to me. If you write a script in the script area in the proper format for CL3 then have it set to split you can drag and drop your script bubbles right into the comic, saves alot of time imo. drag the one called Lettering into a panel single click on the one called Lettering, single click the moveable dots, it shows red ones, now its "warpable" . The text bubbles, you can save your own presets of it so say you always want Milika to have pink background and girly font and Man 1 to have his but dont want to switch back and forth on fonts you can save both as a preset and you can change it afterwards so you can put the whole story/bubbles on the comic then come back at the end and change em

I used to use it a lot in the past, but found the finished pages were really too large, memory wise, to upload! The workaround was to use something like the "Snipping Tool" to make an image and then post it! Haven't used it for a while. I'm more inclined to use a picture of an open A4 book, Landscape or Portrait, with blank white pages. Paste it into MS Publisher, and build up a book like that. 🤔

First time seeing a video of yours. I don't know your work other than what I see in this video. Also, I don't know much about DAZ or other tools to create images like those. I have only seen them in a few Virtual Novels lately and I have noticed a few things. At first DAZ can create very realistic and beautiful models. And that's what I want to see in content like that because let's face it, anime art is good and stuff but it's not realistic and can be tiresome in specific art genres....if you know what I mean. But, the problem is that DAZ is creating images, not videos. That means the models are not supposed to be treated as like when someone is making a video but like a photo shoot model that will stand or pose in a way that the photo will get the best way possible of the model's image. It means that you can't make the models stand or look or talk or whatever they do, in a pose like from a random screenshot of an actual movie. Because when a real person talks or walks or blinks or whatever, and we record that person, we can pause the video and may get a fanny looking or unnatural screenshot while moving. That means to have the best outcome you have to think like photographer, not a movie maker. Take a look at 1970s-1980s magazines with photo-novels and you will understand what I say. Because even in this video I can see several images of your models in bad poses and unnatural face expressions that make them look so bad. Also, the camera angles too. Think like a photographer and what the viewer would like to see. Not like a movie director that will have to make an impression with the "artist style of his movie".....😧 Expressions, poses and camera angles. Need to work on that.

One thing that you can do if you notice extended rendering times the problem is that Daz cannot dump the memory in the GPU for some weird reason. I ran into this a lot when I tried to render animations. The first 5-10 frames usually render, then the last 20-60. Each frame takes 30 minutes to an hour. A workaround I found is these steps: STEP 1. Save before every render. STEP 2. After your 5th render, close Daz Studio. STEP 3. Open task manager and check to see if Daz is still open. If so, close it manually by clicking the task and clicking end or pressing delete. STEP 4. Open the scene you just saved and continue rendering. This usually works every time, and you should see standard render times. ADDITIONAL Tips: The number of frames before Daz switches over to CPU varies based on your system hardware, so you could get by doing this for every 10th render, provided your hardware possesses the capabilities. Never render 60 frames at a time; always render 5-10 frames at a time until you get to 60 or whatever the final frame is.

I would first look at how much RAM DAZ is using. If it is any where near maxing out the RAM the computer will slow down severely. Everyone talks about the GPU and CPU, but they seem to always overlook the RAM's importance to running both DAZ and the computer. It is why most people have between 32 and 64GB minimum for RAM. Especially if they are professional or serious about DAZ. It is very easy to max out the RAM in DAZ and not realize that you have done it.

    • @notfromthisworld7672

I started using various 3D software packages quite a while ago (my first foray into serious 3D was Renderman using a text editor, no GUI) I found DAZ about seven years ago and, given my experience with different raytracers, Iray did it for me. Iray is one of the best raytracers I encountered so far. I even wrote (programmed?) some of my shaders using MDL. I mainly use DAZ to create images of my OCs to show (and sell) them at exhibitions.

The interface was kinda inefficient I thought, but it grew on me in time. I'll likely go with Blender for most things though. It looks like way more fun for modelling and animating. I'll say Daz IS a slow developer, but maybe that is one aspect I like... Gives time to master things before a new version changes everything and you have to learn a new technique for something you have always known. I've experienced this with Blender when they update it!

I've been on the receiving end of this kind of thing on the audio side, but most of the time it was in service to dramatic efficiency and overall user experience improvements. Maybe if they'd open-sourced DAZ. Andrew Price (Blenderguru) put out a survey on 3d applications recently. Interesting stuff. DAZ wasn't in that, but in general the UI experience is the thing most users want improved, so I'm glad I'm not an outlier :) .

Most Daz users only create stills images of attractive people and AI system like midjourney does this SO much better without needing into spend thousands of dollars on a PC with a NIVIDIA GPU for Iray before buying more hundreds of dollars of content from Daz store. Poser only continues to exist in 2025 because the Renderosity marketplace has become a discount Daz genesis outlet/flea market. Virtually no one in the Major 3DCC and game engine communities are using Daz products and Reallusion has its own native figures and content market. There will be no one to subsidize Daz when they eventually lose their user base to generative AI.

Ive used Daz for ~2 years now and honestly I've started resenting the software. The preverbal nail in the coffin for me was premiere sub. They've stripped out critical parts(mesh grabber) to be resold as a sub only. Trip down memory lane with OOT hair and IRAY engine bug? Not Daz's fault but they didnt go thru/force PA to fix, nope they left that for the buyer to fix. Lets talk about how long DForce takes? FOR 1 PIECE OF CLOTHING... sometimes 30seconds, same cloth in slight dif pose, 30mins...... Oh you want skin depressions from cl(POKETHRU)othes AND fingers on the skin , that'll be mmm 30mins-2 hours minimum using at least 1 additional program. With AI generators you can make a scene in Daz/Blender, do a quick 60sec render it out and use said img as a prompt/pyrcanny to get pretty close to what your looking for. Like....I get both sides, but to do some of the things "I've made" in AI generators would take literal days to recreate in Blender and a week in Daz if its possible at all, FOR 1-4 IMAGEs .....So now Ive gone from 3-8 hours down to about 1-2 hours to "get it right". I know alot of people are against AI but really its going to take over still images and is getting reallyyy good at doing motion, at a fraction of the time/power consumption. Ive used quite a few programs, not against learning what so ever, and I still buy products from rendo/daz/hub/otica to use in my stories. I loved using Daz to make spicy content but spending 3-8 hours for a single scene just to be ready render, for me this is a hobby, I dont have 40hrs a week to devote to just 5-15 imgs. For me, Im here to tell a story, how it gets told is based on what is easy to work with AND has good quality, and I think thats going to pull alot more people over time from Daz/Blender/3d software. Thats not even factoring in price, Daz's "sales" are not as good as they use to be. And honestly if you don't like it that's ok, just give it a real solid try before knocking it, I've seen/watched people using it to get inspiration for their own work outside of the generator.

@@knightlko I understand... Daz Studio takes time and effort, especially if you are a novice. AI is a quick and easy way to create something... but I guess that is my point whenever I discuss AI. It takes absolutely no talent to type a prompt and get a picture. I also agree that Daz Studio takes some money to use. Having a low quality computer only causes headaches with the program, but in the end creates a much better picture when one has the right system, and knows what they are doing. AI has potential, but until it can take my Daz render, understand what I want with it, and create a PERFECT set of pictures for a comic to my liking, I won't endorse it. Perhaps that day will come, but it's certainly not here now.
