the story is great for sure don't get me wrong but some are just less contected to eachother like the hood, green goblin, and obviously sisnter motive people say the sinsiter motive can lead to the agents of shield but i'm not convinced

I played one campaign. I didn’t find the story interesting and I didn’t feel like it added anything worthwhile to the gameplay, so I’ve stayed away since. To be fair, I’m an avid comic reader, so my expectations for the quality may be unfairly high. That being said, I’m glad they exist. I know lots of people love them, and if these campaigns keep those people buying and enjoying the game, then that’s awesome. Let’s keep this game going strong for years to come! My only real criticism for the story/campaign is when it encroaches on the stand-alone scenario in nonsensical ways. I’m specifically thinking of Next Evolution, which forces Hope Summers into three scenarios. Outside the campaign, that makes no sense. If they’d keep that kind of stuff to the campaign rules, I’d be very happy.

Have you noticed the trend set? (Commenting BEFORE viewing) the first three expansions were connected (Infinity Saga), then and interruption with Sinister Motives. Then three new expansions connected (Mutant Saga). Next we are getting the SHIELD expansion…presumably an interruption before a new three expansion saga. I’m looking forward to what is to come.

I love hearing from people who get into the campaigns. I’ve said many, many times I’m not into the campaigns. They don’t do much for me. It’s great to see people who like it-that’s just another way the game caters to a wide range of people who enjoy different parts of the game. Great breakdown, thanks for taking the time to go through all of this!! This is a unique topic and you could def do more on this niche within MC.

Great topic! I personally really like the stories in MC, but just looking at Facebook it seems like a lot of people only play the campaigns once and then only do single scenarios after that. I've played every campaign except for GMW at least 3 times (and Next Evolution like 25 times at this point).

I did not like that ending. That’s too much bad luck. Caleb is off of Marvel champions now, thank God. Glad he’s finally making a new game and I hope they take this kind of baloney into account so they’re not repeating design mistakes. Of course, that’s what you get for dropping 33% of the game design to play true solo lol!

Hey just wanted to say hey I'm subscribed to so many Marvel Champions TH-camrs and for some reason I've never come across your channel before which is odd cuz I'm always searching for videos on Marvel champions so I guess I have to start binge watching your videos 😊

Great video. Love the format. I play Colossus a lot. He's by far my favorite and most played hero. The trick with Colossus is that he requires a unique playstyle that isn't immediately apparent, because it's just so different from every other hero. Armor Up is absolutely his best card. With this card, he can flip down to Alter Ego every single turn (drawing 6 cards) and then use Armor Up to flip back up to prevent the Scheme. The tough he gains will block the villain attack, so he can pretty effectively negate what the villain's doing. And, yes, it's possible (and pretty easy) to get Armor Up in hand almost every turn. I average 1 turn per game where I don't have Armor Up in hand. This also means that Steel Fist is arguably his weakest card, because Colossus doesn't care about status effects. In fact, he's weaker with them, since he wants to be attack because it allows Iron Will to trigger his card draw. I often see Colossus ranked as a C or low B-Tier hero, but that's always when people play him like a regular hero. Once you figure out what he's trying to do, and pilot him appropriately, he's A-Tier.

The best way I've found to use superpower adaptation in solo requires quite a bit of set up but try to get Gambit ally and basic Angel ally out, then you can pull the Beauty and the Thief team-up card repeatedly to deal 4 damage and remove 4 thwart. Ideally, with some resource generators out you can then use the Energy card to move Touched onto the villain or a minion

Turning off the light was a good change! Now they are legible

There's a few that I am plus minus one on but I pretty much agree. I also think he's very close to a 10 and a favourite of mine for bullying hard scenarios. Or easy ones. One where I disagree lot is that I Don't Think So is strictly superior to Hogwashed. They have exactly the same cost but IDTS can deal with anything that Hogwashed can plus plenty more. From Armoured Guards and Weapons Runners to Under Fire and Shadow of the Past. I will give you the I forgot I had it defence but that just makes them both similar at 3 IMO with IDTS pushing 4. There's not even a timing issue to speak of really. I've played him mostly in Protection with Spider Tingle which also devalues IDTS but that's a bit niche.

Do the prompts on the crew cards apply only to the other cards already played that round or do they also apply to cards placed after them in the round?

Rocket is so much fun! I love that his upgrades "come into play" with counters rather than having Uses so you can run them dry before Tinkering them. That was really smart design! What was your favorite aspect with him?

I'd mark Accelerated Reflex lower than the other upgrades basically because for half the cost you can do the same thing with Armored Vest!:)

Double Time is also especially good as its not technically an attack nor a thwart!:)

I love Quicksilver...! There was a phase where he was all I'd play!:)...for me, Always Be Running I'd rate higher as for Quicksilver you want him readying up as much as you can to trigger Frictional Resistance, or to have him ATK or THWT big (especially if you have played Maximum Velocity)...it being a superpower is also great cos you can just have Deft Focus pay for it every time!

"Manipulate" your hand lol. I haven't played Quicksilver in a long time, I need to pull him out! I wish I'd chosen him for my Shatterverse, but Ant-Man did well in the Avenger slot LOL

Cross counter is one of my favorite cards for her. Not only do you prevent the damage you get to trigger both her hero abilities since it’s an attack and a thwart. And it’s once per phase so you can still trigger it again during Yiur turn

I don't think I played Mockingbird either, but I still think she's better than zero. She a less-restrictive Nightcrawler ally, and I'll play him all day long in an X-Men deck, so I think I wasn't playing her because arrows are the priority cards in Hawkeye! I also rate the arrows higher because 3 damage AND Stun/Confuse for 2 is very good! I had a hard time at first with exhausting him to ready your bow, but I think it's okay a lot of the time. You're trading attacking for 3 for removing 3 threat while ignoring crisis, or dealing 3 and stunning (or confusing), or dealing 6 with piercing, or dealing 3 to the villain AND all minions. I was too caught up on "but he has 3 ATK" to see that shooting a second arrow was usually more powerful than swinging for 3.

Yes, "Play" and "Put into play" are different (that's how Make the Call and Call for Backup get around trait-locked allies), so Combat Ready isn't going to also draw you 2 cards. Good ranking! I agree with pretty much everything (but haven't payed a whole lot of Nebula)! I would probably rank Wide Stance higher just because of how powerful encounter deck manipulation can be. It's not only adjusting the deck, it's giving you knowledge of what's to come, and knowing is half the battle (G.I. JOOOOEEEEEEEE! lol)

Love these videos. Gotta disagree with the four on drax alter ego. I get that healing two for each counter is good but your losing the counters which are so pivotal to his kit and attack that it makes the healing irrelevant I believe. But that’s just my opinion and the beauty of this game because we all can have different views.

I agree about Red Dagger (I don't think I've ever paid to return him lol) but I think Wiggle Room should be a 4 because of the way her Response works: Play Wiggle Room, prevent 3 and draw a card, exhaust Ms. Marvel to return it to hand and play it again. So it's really 0 cost, prevent 6 damage, draw 2 cards! Also, I just noticed you're at 100 subs. Congrats!

Glad to see you ranked Jubilee's cards high! She is my new favorite. Personally I think I would have Shopping Spree at 1, Plasmoid energy at 4, then sunglasses and coat and grand finale all in 4. Then her hero card at the bottom of 4. With the stun and confuse event at 3 in solo and 4 in multipalyer. Wolverine would go into 3, and her alter-ego would go into 1.
