Let me know when sales open , meanwhile I'm basing my creation off of this idea thanks brother
Great job, awesome work, I am trying the same setup with a 20R, at the moment running turbo with a Holley carb, I will like to know what's needed to set the crank sensor (what part you use)
Check out part 3 for my crank trigger setup.
awesome rack man!! When does it go into production??? ,)
Unfortunately, its very vehicle specific to maximize the rear clearance and the hinge location.
Sprocket change?
I considered it, but read of some issues with the ABS.
That's very cool! I'd call that a success!
This is a great series! I have an 85 TPI set-up and am currently looking for an engine/trans management system compatible with it.. I think the TPI is also batch fire.. looks pretty straight forward.. thank you for the content..
I think the microsquirt would be an easy install on a TPI setup with the GM sensors already.
I see that you got a ToAuto DRO. What resolution did you get on it? Or would you be able to share what kit you bought? Thank you for the video.
I got the 150mmx300mmx550mm kit (effective travel) mounting lengths are 140mm longer than the effective lengths. It is listed at 5um resolution, which comes out to be .0002"
Thank you for this update to your two other great videos on the 143 BBK install! Have you tried burning any 87oct. 10%eth. gas again in the bike over the last 1000 miles? Any knocking if so? Thanks for your time and knowledge!
Nope, always ran 91+ octane.
stop motorcycle, its not made for you
As a DRO Dummy machinist, I approve of this instal. Hahaha. I wish I had it on the lathe, but it, the DRO is a must have on the mill. Love the channel, we should meet up sometime when the flying weather is better...I'm in Northern Il...but me and my flying buddy want to make a trip to the Ozarks too. Be safe and have a merry Christmas!
Awesome thank you for the info.
Great job on the big bore review , professionally presented. The bottom line is Honda manufacturing did not give the CT 125 enough horsepower for 14 tooth sprocket. I went down to the 13 sprocket and I feel I gained almost everything that you did with your big board kit except for the top end. I can hold and maintain 53 to 55 up even on a slight incline. Plus, my gearing between gears is evenly distributed now.
Is yours an ABS model? I looked at lowering the gearing and heard stories of ABS errors due to the computer seeing a difference in speed between the front and rear.
@ My ABS light came on occasionally. I was doing some hard trail riding ABS light continued when I got back on normal roads for a month I finally went through high-pressure car wash blew the hell out of the front brake. The ABS light never came back on again. To answer your question, I don’t believe going to the 13th to sprocket is an issue
@ What it did do changing the gearing it matches the horsepower of the motor The power band is incredibly matched now And I can still hit and maintain 53, 55 mph On the trail, I can walk through very very rough terrain w 13 sprocket. So much better at low speeds. Wow.
How did you guys build that one custom carrier hitch receiver that opens?
Thanks for the work you put into the content on your channel. The CT125 is great for what it is designed for....riding local roads and just about any trail you want to take it on. I hitch carry ours and have a great time riding in a variety of places, the Smoky Mountains 500, the PA Wilds BDR-X, the Southern Ohio Adventure Loop, Northern Michigan, etc.. I enjoy each of your videos.
Saw your cruiser in summer of ‘23 at Zenith - beautiful aircraft. Your video was timely for me, especially since I’m about to start my build. I’m also planning to polish most of mine - I like the look and wt savings. Greg
It's worth considering vinyl wrap in the areas you don't polish. I already have spray equipment, so paint made sense for me.
@ I will - thx
I was doing a quick search to send to someone on the internet for compression v. Leak down and you freakin nailed it. Seasoned shade tree and I learned something. Subscribed 👍
Glad it helped!
Anyway i could get the links for the upgradesM
Spike will be an excellent copilot, my only problem is we have Great Danes, one is 190lbs
You need a Piper Cherokee Six just to haul dogs!
THANKS - for the most honest CT125 fit/size Review, I've seen (and I've seen MANY). I'm 6'2", ~36" inseam, 225 pounds in the 'space suit' ... and was considering a CT125 for a 'hitch bike' (to take long distances on the back of the Jeep). You saved me ~$5,000 ! For this, I Thanks you.
Yeah, you will be much happier with a KLX300 or CRF300L. Also, I have since moved on from the DR200 to a DR-Z400 for more power/speed.
I dream of an official Honda 150 Trail. The 125 can't go 55mph on flat land is a killer when commuting.
Great video thanks
I'm curious how many miles you had on the bike before the bbk? I've heard these bbks are eating up the other parts. I thought about the 143 bbk but I guess I didn't want to sacrifice Reliability. Mine is a 22' also, stock, and I have 32,000 miles on it. Haven't had any issues yet. cool scope you have, gonna look into one of those. Thanks, I can't wait to see how it goes in the long run.
The bike had less than 500 miles when I installed the BBK, not much by any means. You ride your bike way more than my wife rides hers.
It doesn't lack speed,it lacks torque
If you are rolling and tipping, you can use Penetrol to level it rather than solvent. I did that with catalyst on the bottom of my boat and it looked sprayed on and glossier.
I've never tried rolling and tipping. If I didn't have spray equipment already, I would be inclined to try it.
Great Vid., With the mods done, will the bike cruise @ 60 MPH?
Yes, it will hold 62-ish flat ground.
@@ozarkgarage Thanks for the info, I assume this BB kit will fit the Super Cub also...?
@@lorimcquinn3966 Yes, it should.
Is there a noticeable increase in power with this kit . Thanks

Can anyone anwer my question.... I need to tubrocharge my fiat uno 45 car, carburetor engine.....how will be the fuel consumption on the car.....i need it to run on less fuel...🙁
Turbo will likely make it use more fuel...you are adding more air, so you will need more fuel.
@ozarkgarage Thank you ....
Great video! I'm running 164cc on my '22. You'll love that step up in power from 125 to 143.
Yeah, definitely made a difference. Speed tests are in Part 2.
Is there a chance you could tell us what size can you used? Great video thanks!!
What "can" are you referring to?
@@ozarkgarage I'm sorry about that i meant Camshaft. I would like to exactly copy what you did. So much great information you should teach Thanks !!!
Unless you have a sprayer, or intend to do more than one car, just use rattle cans. I've done both ways, the rattle can car was cheaper. It was also easier, faster, and future touch-ups were simple! I chose ultra-flat camo green. DO NOT SAND after painting. I made that mistake, so ended up respraying a fender. Also do not use those comfy handle things, that is why I sanded...and repainted. Total 6 cans: $36 i also used 4 cans of primer, but that would also have been needed with either paint.
*cars, I did many with rattle cans in high school. prep fri night, paint early sat morning, car ready for monday school.
I have always struggled with the small spray pattern of rattle cans on large areas, plus I get tired of clogged nozzles and constantly shaking them. My .02: I will take a spray gun any day.
@@ozarkgarage the pattern doesn't matter, as long as there are sufficient coats. So if you overlap a bit, leave it! You can add more later. nozzles only clog after the can is used then stored without clearing it. After use, spray the can upside down until only propellant, then it will be ready next time. That's not as much of a concern because of the volume required.
Can you spray the 2k clear over this paint, I’ve seen a bunch of channels talking about it?
Never tried it personally.
Mind sharing a parts list?
Do you have any reference material for hardners and other paint products. I'm cheap and paint using nason or omni base. Could I use that tractor hardner with that paint or even nason clear? I just can't find anything on that. Thanks for the info
No, sorry. In general it's best not to mix and match
pro quality? no. good coverage +durability? yep.
pretty cool idea, I´m about to get my hands on a Ford Expedition and this is exactly what I need to make more room. I´m gonna try to copy it. thanks a lot for sharing. regards!!
i am 5 months deep in trying to start a similar setup, nice job
Two things, one it's called a 36 minus 1, because it's 36 teeth, minus one of the teeth. Two, you have a cnc plasma cutter. Why on earth didn't you just cut yourself a 36-1 wheel with the appropriate holes for your balancer? Also, it's a balancer, when you cut material off of it, it's no longer going to balance and when you cut material off the opposite side from the missing tooth, you cut it farther out from center so you would need to cut off less material because of the additional centrifugal force farther from center. Though, in the grand scheme of things that's not going to make that big of a difference with the amount of material you removed and the application. Overall, great job.
I don't have the "fine cut" torch for my plasma, so the backside of the tooth would have more of a radius than the leading edge because of the speed at which it has to cut 1/8" or less steel. I didn't know if it would be an issue getting a clean square-wave signal, so I opted for the laser cut.
I just bought the 2024 Honda Trail today. Bought for city and some adventure.
I got one to get me to the store and back. Generally exploring. Winter sucks bad but after itll be smooth sailing
So you attached the ram to where the stabilizer is mounted and then to the drag link?
Yes, replaced the stabilizer more or less. With the Y-link steering on the TJ, you can't connect it to the tie rod, otherwise you will get funky bump steer.
Do you think that is a better option than getting a diff cover that has the link on it and connecting to the tyrod? I have an XJ with the same steering.
@@samwalker1304 Trail only or street driven? If its trail only, it may not matter.
Tried to get the specific ram that you ordered but can’t read it correctly. Can you give me the part number on it please, thanks.
@@samwalker1304 9-7257-6
Great video! I agree on everything but the lighting. After several near mid-airs in congested airspace, I want all the exterior lighting I can get.
can you provide the bark buster part numbers?
BHG-112 is the mount and VPS-003 are the guards
Absolutely love this! Glad the algorith is giving it the attention it deserves, looking forward for more old school carbd/mechanical fuel injection BOOST 🤙🤙
Doesn’t the trail 125 come with a screw driver in the tool box that comes with the bike?
Nope, includes a hex key under the seat to open the "tool box" that has a helmet cable.
I used tractor paint with small amount of mineral spirits and hardener painted by hand with a camel hair brush. As it sat any brush lines disappeared and it was smooth as spray. I got rid of the vehicle after 3 1/2 years sitting outside under a tarp. Still looked fine.
is that accelerator cable a 45 degree or its 90? im looking at getting one in Australia and they asked if i needed the straight or 45 and im unsure
I used a straight
What is the fuel mileage after the mod? If I missed it in the video, apologies
Haven't measured
Great video! I used to have a 1975 Honda XR 75 and had to replace the timing chain. The process here was a bit more complicated but overall very similar process. On the XR 75 the engine had to be removed and crankcase needed to be split to get new timing chain on. I have a 2024 CT 125A now and currently dont plan on modifying it. ❤
