I have the same Situan Sifa MB168F. That dirty motor oil is abrasive carbon. Get it overboard. I made a .787 inch to 1 inch crankshaft adapter and a 7 inch pulley likes 1 inch. The oil consumption will surprise you. It wants a plate aluminum mounting base and a square steel or sheet steel mount will always flex and damage the hollow mounting lugs. I avoid high revs and very low idle. In 25 hours of gentle break in, it should run sweet. I never cracked the fuel nut loose. Avoid ether starting and flame. If you must do cold, use hot water on the cylinder head. Most vegetable oils are contaminated with glycerol.
Vertical = downvote
25? LOL. Try 5.
Thanks for watching.
You have to turn your phone the other way opposite of tictoc. If you do this your video will fill the screen unless you are making a TH-cam short
I was trying to figure this out!!! It kept making them shorts. You’re the best, thanks!!!
It works awesome on rims too but don't get on rubber...eats it up
Yeah it's a beast for cleaning up stuff!
Mr Muscle
Third person who mentioned this. I need to try it.
The questions is, what about the pollution to the soil? Does it will be a safe spot to plant and harvest?
Lol no. Don’t do it over a spot you want to grow stuff. You gonna clean your engine bay right over your crop?
One thing to bear in mind when mixing used engine oil with diesel fuel to run a diesel engine is the acids which accumulate in engine oil as a byproduct of the combustion process can eventually deteriorate the seals in the injection system. Although various vegetable oils are perfectly acceptable to run in a diesel engine, vegetable oils have a slightly lower BTU per pound rating than diesel fuel, so a 10% decrease in available horsepower can be expected. "Vegging it" is a trend used by some diesel car owners to run their vehicles on used deep fryer oil from fast food restaurants.
I appreciate the thorough comment and information!
Going to buy one and put it on a bicycle. I have 300 gallons of used engine oil great for free fuel.
Good idea!!
Not bad for 200 bucks 😊
I know the frame in the gasser is lighter duty. Just a heads up. That gasser rear end is a dana 60 with a 44 front. The diesel dually is an 80 rear with a 60 front. Be better off swapping the dash over to the dually
Appreciate the comment. I measured the frame thickness, exact same frame as the 3500.
Mounting the 168 F on steel is a great way to erode or even crack your mounting lugs. It also produces a racket. A thick plate of aluminum is way better. Look at them on the bottom. Turbo? Just bad. Alternate fuels? What fuels? Abrasive fuels? Fuels that create a ton of deposits? You went straight to bad practices. Comic Book motor care.
I don’t really care Stanley. It’s a $200 engine, and it’s already paid itself off with comments and views like yours. It’s not that serious.
I have that same 01 with the magnum the rear end hasn't given me any issues 350 thousand and still rolling 💪
That 3500 rear end is going right in my 2500… it’s going to be a beast!!!
I'm putting up a video to see if these 3hp diesels can run on diesel.😅
I think it will! It's kind of crazy it runs on veggie oil, it seems to run on everything!
Put a load on the engine.
Mount this to the trunk lid on my beater Corolla so i can roll coal
That's expensive using road diesel in a little diesel engine like that get some of that untaxed off-road diesel
It was just for testing! It'll run on almost anything.
Do you think the crank from a predator 6.5 would fit in there?
Someone has tried it somewhere on the interwebs.
Zinc poisoning
It needs an aluminum base, a big pulley, an alternator, and pump diesel.
I can't get mine to run. I did everything in the video but fuel won't fill the lines. Like it doesn't leave the tank and I don't know what to do. Help
Very first step is to remove the hose off the fuel filter so you can pour fuel in the injection pump inlet hose by gravity, it is a little messy but once fuel is at the injection pump then you can simply turn the throttle knob all the way to max and hold the decompression lever down while you crank several times, you will notice that when fuel is squirting out the injector you will hear a loud squeaking noise, that is the point you just crank it up. No need to crack open injector lines to bleed.
Good stuff!
Excellent video
No one ever says how long it will actually last on high
I have one of these also. Fuel filter is on backwards from the factory !
I just got one noticed that right away lol
Where did you buy that creature
Amazon
Aliexpress or Amazon, straight from China but this engine runs great what i never expected from Chinese diesel engines...
This diesel engine is really interesting due to its size .i got mine for 135bucks here in ph
Sichuan Shifa MB168F. Watch the oil consumption. I made a 20 MM to one inch shaft adapter. Well spent purchase.
I have 2 of these they are amazing!!!
I wish you didn't speed up the startup part I'm wanted to see how well it started with the drill method. Anyway awesome video definitely do that pressure washer stand that how i test mine makes it easier to move too. Great job on the video definitely do more running different fuels. Its awesome to see what these little engines will run on. I just got 2 of them and still playing with different ideas for them.

Thank you! Admittedly, I kind of rushed this video, just trying to figure out what content works and gets attention, I posted the TikTok video of the original, it actually works extremely well, and you don’t have to spin it up that fast. I appreciate the comment ans the suggestion
I have one of these on a minibike. Custom intake and exhaust. Runs extremely well!
5:16 just a sugesstion, dont tip the motor over a whole bunch while its running, it can starve the engine of oil
Was looking at that one this morning, where did you acquire it? Thanks
Amazon! Link in description
I have one of these too :) Runs extremely well, and mine always starts first pull! Its important to change the oil soon after your first run, however. Metal particles came out of mine most likely left from manufacturing. I ran mine for 10 minutes and then I changed the oil in order to flush it out. It runs super well, im very pleasantly surprised! My only complaint is how loud it is, but thats the nature of all air cooled diesels. I think i need to build a sound proofed box for it, hehe. Im using mine on a homemamde generator set, what i really like is that i can run it at basically idle and it still has enough torque to spin the generator even at a decent load :3 so the fuel economy is absolutely amazing. Plus the ability to run on alternative fuels is awesome!
Might want to run it up to 3600 every once in a while to burn out the soot buildup in the cylinder head.
Not a prob. Chinese fuel filters do not even seal. Mine let crud go past into my engine. Sadsakosartz!.
1:02 and I'm better it will run.
What size is the shaft?
20mm / 0.787"
7/8"
I would highly recommend pre filtering the veggie oil so you don't get build up. A lot of oils have contaminates from its production. A lot of times it creates really bad deposits, especially if it's been used.
Thank you for the suggestion!
How do i do that
@@F6FHellcatWarThunder paint filters
I dont think i would have switched a used fuel filter around. You could wash trash into the pump. Should have put a new filter on it .
Yep Whatever was on the iinside of the paper element is now flowing towards the injector pump.
I didn’t even think about that!
I would have thought diesel fuel is cheaper than vegetable oil, in Australia that bottle of vegetable oil costs about $4 and it's not even one liter where diesel fuel is $1.97 per liter.
It is a bit expensive, but I wanted to perform a test.
The more economical method would be used vegetable oil (free). However for testing, new clean vegetable oil eliminates a lot of filtering issues.
@@gimpygardner3377 I’m not concerned about economical, I can throw used motor oil in the thing and it’ll work fine. The vegetable oil was for testing
I’d be worried about the long term affects that would have on the engine. Veggie oil has a higher viscosity than diesel, would probably lead to premature wearing of many parts. Not sure how the droplets coming out of your carb jets would compare to diesel as well but I’d imagine you’d experience a bunch of problems with long term use.
We shall see! Thanks for your comment!
there is no carb jets because engines dont have carbs just injectors
maybe put it under load and see if it got power with different fuel too
One of these days! Thanks for the comment!
Nice little engine
Sweet little engine!🤩🤩
Are they fitted with a governor ? Also, your inline fuel filter is on back to front.
Thank you, someone mentioned that previously and I swapped it. Yes it is governed.
Cool
Same bike Dorothy teacher was on
Or, did the bike grow through the tree??
Please keep it as is, imagine how it would be in a few decades
