A significantly shorter video than usual, but hopefully worth watching! This video also has some improvements in the name of UHD 4K!
Rush Hour // Morning Trains at Petersham
มุมมอง 2568 หลายเดือนก่อน
This video is some old footage (just over a year to the day!) of peak hour in the morning at Petersham. I do realise that my narration is awful, as well as the video quality. Despite this, I do hope you enjoy this one!

living in the UK, I am jealous of that blue sky! Looks like it is part overhead wires and part battery. very clever idea
If it's any consolation you probably aren't jealous of the sunburn and 35 degree weather on that day! As for the power it's part battery, part overhead wires, and part ground power collection from a shoe.
You have some lovely footage. Thanks for sharing.
train 🚊
This train is a cambera train
This is the Canberra train 😮🎉
Make sure to not get Dropped a items
Yea it’s true😊
Cool shot
Great capture from 2 locations with excellent camera positioning, well done 👏 👍
It does not get to the 100 km/h mark after the platform it gets to 60km/h wait for 1 seconds and then quickly gets to 110 km/h 😊
I must disagree with you because your narration is quite good, and so is the quality of this video. Your camera positioning is excellent, and your panning is smooth. Thanks for sharing this video with us.

I dot I pride. but still very nice video!
I guess welding rails on a wooden bridge risks a fire?
Never thought of it like that! I think another reason is it allows the rails to move more over the bridge members.
Feels like a Tom scott, amazing places, video.
The vision from under the bridge and the sounds of the bridge members moving is a genius choice by you. The rest of the video is excellent but the underbridge footage is brilliant, well done 👏 👍
Zag zag
As a retired oldster, I could easily spend an afternoon sitting there watching the trams go by!
Couldn't agree more, I just set up my camera and relaxed! Hopefully this video gives you that same experience!
Hi , Thank you fot your video. When do plan to have your next Sydney trains (well transport) video out?
Sooner than the last interval between videos I hope!
This is an excellent video with amazing picture quality which is crisp and clear. The camera positioning and angles are excellent and I really like the location. Great video, well done 👏
Thank you! The traffic noise isn't ideal but otherwise I quite like the location.
@@SYDTrainsFilms You're very welcome 👍 I actually like the traffic noise 😄
Truly great to see. Love this railway and the whole experience in a unique setting!
I went there for the first time a day after this was filmed. I remember as we were going downhill and out of nowhere, out comes this magical valley with all the viaducts where you could see everything! From the birds in the trees chirping, to the loco puffing down the hill with them blowing the whistle. It was that moment where I fell in love with this place! Everyone who I’ve met at Zig Zag have been nothing but kind and helpful! It’s something that you don’t ever get anywhere else. I’ve been back another 2 times since, and will definitely come back again. Maybe even as a volunteer! Thank you so much to all the volunteers and supporters of Zig Zag for getting this beautiful place reopened so that future generations like myself can continue to experience and enjoy such a wonderful place!
Just great to see this unique railway back in operation.
Haha I will have to track some of those tram route guides down, don't think I have any at the moment! Also wow that T1 timetable is huge. Good stuff!
Thanks,I got the route guides in the PTV Hub at Southern Cross, and I must have looked mad running around grabbing all the timetables 🤣
@@SYDTrainsFilms Oh yeah, I always forget about the ptv hub! I felt the same taking one of each timetable from Parliament station, definitely got a few odd looks.
It's even worse in Sydney as they don't make them any more so you have to go around to obscure stations and ask if they have some very specific timetable!
YUM
Great video!!! In 1971, on our honeymoon, my wife and I DROVE OUR CAR along the dismantled trackbed to Bottom Points. Sometime in the late 1960’s I had walked the route with some friends. Then in the late 1980’s my wife and I visited the railway, this time with our four children - each of whom got a footplate ride! Great memories!
Good idea where to make a trip, very good recorded... Glad to see this legendary railway is NO more out of operation... 👍🚂🌳📹🙂
Awesome video enjoyed it
Excellent shot. Like🤩
Nice train
I went on the Zig Zag back in 1996 when I went to see my parents in Australia (I live in Nottingham, England). Fantastic experience! Great video you've produced there.
Haven't been on the Zig Zag for years. Good to see it's up & running again 🦇
THAT WHITE SMOLE IS STEAM
Nice vid mate, can't wait to go revisit. Went their in 2016 and always wanted see it operation so its great to see it up and running again.
Great job! Can't wait to get back up there myself.
Cool, it might be a bit of a trip from Melbourne though!
honestly quite incredible
Thank you!

What
This is a very different video with few trains but your commentary made it very interesting. I hope you were not too cold while filming. Well done 👏
Thank you! I would always like to make videos with as many trains as possible, but with cancelled trains and the already low frequency on the Blue Mountains Line it's quite hard. It's good to see that you enjoyed it! 😊
@Sydney Trains Shorts You're very welcome 👍. You have given reasons why filming many trains on that day was impossible and I agree. I am impressed with your impromptu video, especially under the conditions of the day. You made a great video out of a bad situation and that shows your talent and that is why I enjoyed this video as much as I did 😀 😄 👍
@Aussie John 😁
Of course, because your using the Mykolaiv card that cannot be tapped on the opal reader.
Yes, also humor.

Thank you for this excellent video. I love your camera angles and positions, which makes this video of the "trams" very enjoyable. I absolutely hate the all-over advertising, but I know that it generates millions of dollars in revenue for the tram company. The length of the tram is necessary to cater for not only the regular commuters but also for the Randwick University students and the huge crowds that attend events in Moore Park at the SCG,Football Stadium and the Entertainment Quarter which often host events simultaneously. I would love to see the line extended to La Perouse and Bondi Beach. The most interesting section of this line is between Town Hall and Circular Quay, where the tram uses underground power while the pantograph is lowered. I use the term "tram" because that is how I see it. Great video. Well done 👏
Thank you! At town hall station you can actually see the Pantographs lowered and raised. The all over advertising does look a bit bad but it does make that revenue so it's understandable.
@Sydney Trains Shorts You're very welcome 👍 the Newcastle tram is also interesting because it raises and lowers the pantograph at every stop and runs on battery power between stops.
I was going to film a video there but trackwork got in the way 😓. I will go there some day though!
@@SYDTrainsFilms yeah, track work can be a curse for trainspotting.
Very cool! I visited Moore park not long ago, although that thumbnail looks a bit familiar 😅
Thank you for the thumbnail! 😅

Excellent clip, I hope a longer video is imminent.
Wasn't planning on one but now that you say that... (6:30 PM tonight)
@@SYDTrainsFilms Definitely looking forward to it 👍 😀
