I have owned the teton since day one. And i have not been impressed, it’s easy the worst traxxas product i have ever owned. I have spent a ton of money on parts and upgrades and its better but still disappointing. I would only recommend Teton for in door usage. I haven’t owned these but i would think the grom, mini lmt, fms smasher or ftx24 would all be better choices. I am honestly surprised on the praise you give the teton. I would probably recommend the trx-4mt over the teton, even if its slow as dirt and cost more!

Question Please: I am looking for a good choice for walk around Radio Wireless control on a large HO home mountain style layout with a projected 350 to 400 feet of track when the main line is completed. I just recently got into the hobby and I started out with the mini crawlers in the form of an trx4m high trial f-150.... absolutely loved it. I then saved up for a high trail edition trx4 72 blazer. It's awesome on the rocks and trials. I figured I wanted to give the bashing a try... picked up a rustler 4x4 bls-2.... then picked up snd arrma 3s big rock...... and just other day I got my hands on a brand new still In the box maxx v2 monster energy edition! I absolutely love it but have kinda been babying it cause I'm scared to damage it. After watching this video I'm ready to send it 💯💯

Most interesting. Like you, I originally opted for the NCE Power CAB after some research and to begin with all was good. But after only 6 months it froze up and I am not a heavy user. Just a heads up to others. Should you have issues with your NCE units then NCE policy is for it to be returned to the USA for analysis! I am now without controller which will be weeks if not months and if NCE decide that it is not a device fault but something I have done, which of course I have not, then I am without a controller. I am looking for alternatives now to replace the Power CAB never mind what happens so the Digitrax has caught my attention.

using a paper towel/kitchen roll for dry brushing is bad form. I have used Pro Acryl paints for dry brushing with a proper dry brush pallette without issue.

Only difference between the Xmaxx Ultimate and the Xrt Ultimate is the Xrt comes with the wide arm kit and a roof skid. Both absolute beasts tho! 💪🏻

Bet you the price of that truck new with batteries and chargers it won’t run in a month if you drive it daily. Traxxas is so cheap now. Everything breaks when you actually drive them.

The one thing this has going for it is durability and it breaks on the first hop. $700 well spent. I do get a kick out of all these videos trying to promote the thing.

For some reason I can't stand it that most short course RC trucks have independent suspension all round. SC trucks are basically smaller baja/desert trucks with IFS and 3 or 4 link solid axles in the rear. The Slash and others are just normal truggies with different tires and slightly more short-course-like bodies.

Overpriced. Watch their video and look for the grey spacers in the front as well as the white springs. False advertisement. Buy what you see. Bottoms out bad in front. With spacers and springs, they will not bottom out as bad.

NOTE: Some of you may be wondering why I didn't mention the Traxxas Unlimited Desert Racer. Although it does resemble a short course truck, the UDR is a different type of vehicle entirely. It's a scale desert truck, more akin to the Losi Baja Rey. Although it has often been compared to the Arrma Mojave, they really don't have much in common besides their overall size and external appearance, and the Maxx Slash is much closer to a direct Mojave competitor. Also, in case anyone's curious, the shot of the Arrma Mojave at the beginning is from a video that we shot about a year ago, but never finished due to a series of unfortunate coincidences. That video will probably never be published, but we did end up with a lot of leftover Mojave footage, and I finally found a use for some of it.

Which one to buy if I could buy only one between Arrma Felony and infraction? Kindly reply and suggest

Quality on Latrax sucks big time

I went with neither, and rather chose Train Control Systems DCC system. Having had a Digitrax system, I've never found them easy to use or MU diesels.

Put a set of dual stage foams and some Jconcepts ruptures and they are unstoppable.

My charger burned up any one else have issues with it had it on a regular 2.5 usb charger

Had and OG brushed e maxx years ago broke the frame in freezing weather regret not fixing it ready to get back in the game maxx v2 definitely a fitting replacement

If you program a locomotive on the power cab with a program still hold when you hook up a zephyr

awe man, I just got mine and this is the 3rd unboxing vid I've watched that DIDN'T go over everything that it comes with. It comes with 2 soft 3D cube things, 2 longer plastic rectangle things, and 1 rubber thing and I don't know what any of them do yet lol.

Only my 2nd electric rc. I'm an old nitro guy. First thing to go is that flimsy wheelie bar. The Hoss wheelie bar is a perfect bolt-on replacement. Added the light kit and I'm having a blast.

Love the videos guys (watching in reverse). -- However after now 3 videos I am convinced you are going to break the top glass of your display. Maybe find a wooden desk somewhere instead. 🤣

Nice video guys. I appreciate the detail, some of the things you point out are hard to determine on the Traxxas website. If I were any closer I'd come check your store out ... well next time I'm in the area (10 hours from me). -- FYI I have a Slash Ultimate (fantastic!) and out of the box on 3s I was getting it to cut out from excessive heat. So I added both the ESC fan AND the Traxxas heat sync for the motor. I have never, ever had it overheat since. And I run HARD!! So ... aftermarket fan for the motor is not necessary. -- Thanks again guy!
