I got mine in today. What a letdown. I wasn't expecting it to be a smartphone with apps or something ludicrous like that (even though there are some smartphones with tech far more advanced for less than $50 bucks), but I wanted it to be something, I don't know..more than what it is, especially for what I paid for it, which only OG fans in their 30s-40s would shell out the dough for. If you power it off, it'll save your progress, but not the clock. You need to keep it on at all times if you don't want to keep resetting the clock, or just don't use it to tell the time, as it's irrelevant to anything you do on the device. To battle, you'd need a 2nd digivice to attach to the one you got, a bigger waste of money. And all the events you can do is little more than 2 frames of a gif as shown in this video. Some of the digi-destined/partner digimon you have to unlock, which was a little annoying but I guess they had to hold something back to make people want to torture themselves playing with it. Basically, it's a glorified step counter, with it sounding like a baby rattle when you shake it. The only thing I like about it is that the screen turns off to save on battery, and that it charges with USB C instead of button cells which I hate. It's nice to have as a display piece for OG fans, but I think even the MSRP is still way overpriced for a crappy piece of plastic toy, especially for something you won't play with for more than a few minutes before putting it away forever. You may as well buy the Gacha vending machine versions which is just the outer shell and hollow inside...which are also overpriced on ebay, but is only a few bucks from proxy shopping sites minus the fees. One intersting thing I noticed was that the paperwork was all in Japanese, but the device I got didn't have settings to change language, it was already defaulted in English. Well, not that it really mattered, since the the 4 buttons were basically "up/down and A/B", being even more primitive than a gameboy.

I bought one, it’s super soft and cuddly, and it fits very well in my game room. However, if you want one now, it’s gone up quite a bit. I managed to get it just before the price hike, but on the flipside of the coin now would probably be the best time because I don’t see the price going down anytime soon.
