omg, I feel so much of the same feelings of these age gap stories. It just screams GROOOOMING! I don't know I'm not a fan of how prevalent love stories are age gaps in manga :(

You should watch Dr. Stone anime. It is based on a true story. Humans did get turned into stones in Russia by the aliens in real life. All of the science experiments in the manga are true and factual. The anime only goes up to volume 7, but currently the manga goes up to volumes 24, so just read the manga, but watch the anime first.

Welcome back! I agree I'll never understand the hype around The Ancient Magus Bride... Even if you try to get past the age gap and ignore any romantic connotations it's so repetitive. You did good to drop it. And omg yes omg re: Knight of the Ice, I absolutely hate when we characters progress romantically and then it's followed up by a 1 step forward 2 steps back type of thing with either characters self-sabotaging, love rivals, couples being forced apart or literally just not being in the same damn location anymore even tho they've become a couple ughhh like please let me bask in the glory of my ship sailing for just a little bit

I like dark, horror, fantasy anime/manga but I do have my favorite romances so it's really nice to see this video so I can get some recommendations other than the stuff I usually look at. I didn't recognize like anything out of the first 2 boxes, so that was really cool for me to see :-) Fruits Basket is definitely one of my favorites, I'm rewatching and getting to szn 3 rn :P

yess i love this haul! about given: it has (in the order they were releasesed) an 11 episode anime series, a movie, a 6 episode live action, and an OVA is coming out on december 1st. also, YES there is a 6th volume out already! it's also the start of a new arc i believe which is super exciting. can't wait to hear your thoughts on it <3

Great to see you back! I'm in the middle of moving too, so I relate to the pain. 😔 But anyway, such a great haul! 🥰Given is great! There's a storyline that didn't agree with me that much... but overall, I'm still really into it. The anime is also quite nice! There are things I can't tell you was a really good single volume, quite angsty haha. Blue Flag was a fantastic read, it was hard to put down. Bloom Into You I watched the anime (good too!), but I still need to pick up the manga. My Summer of You and A Sign of Affection are on my wishlist! And I just impulse bought the first volume of Knight of the Ice! I really shouldn't have, cause it'll just make my moving boxes heavier but whatever, found it in a bookshop and it was too tempting. So excited to read it~

Given has an anime movie and a drama series (all of them are on crunchyroll). I think in English they only have done through volume five there is a sixth volume in Japanese and a seventh volume of given coming out in Japan in December with an OVA. There is a drama series for Cherry Magic on crunchyroll as well.

i love I Hear the Sunspot aswell!. Tachi and Kohei’s relationship / development is just…. impeccable.
