    I thought of buying my first trail boots then saw these for €150 and got them. I usually wear size 42 (Germany) sneakers so I got these in 42 2/3 and I have to say that they feel a bit narrow and I don't know if that's how it's supposed to feel like. I'm also hesitant to return them because I've gotten them for such a good price. Do you maybe have any tips on how to know if they're the right size?

    I have a pair of the Mammut Trovat Tour High GTX. An absolute beauty of a boot. Had them for two months now and thrown them about a bit up on Dartmoor, Devon, of which I live on the edge of. Comfortable, solid build, great lace system, excellent grip, ankle, memory foam, padded support is superb, and the rocking design of the sole, helps when clambering over the dartmoor terrain. Highly recommend the model I have for sure. I'm sure the ones in this video are equally as good.

  • @sdemosi
    @sdemosi ปีที่แล้ว

    I know I responded to your other video but these are great boots. The only negative (and its not a small problem) I've found is Mammut sizing is a bit odd. 12UK is too small for me and 12.5 is mostly OK but a bit looser around the left heel than I'd like. I can fix this with lacing but they don't feel nimble as say Scarpa which fits me a bit better. So I'm aware of a compromise fit and it's a bit irritating. The sizing up also makes the boots heavier so I'm carrying 2kg of boots on mountain hikes. Despite loving Mammut build quality and design the likelihood is I go back to wearing other brands. My wife on the other hand seems to have the perfect Mammut foot in a size 8 and she can wear everything they make with comfort. Foot shape, length, width and volume are key to getting a good fit. The Brecon, which you loved, was made on a special UK last and it works better for the average UK foot than their regular lasts.

    I have the Trovat Guide IIs. Heavy but very impressive boots. I've had some excellent boots over the years and some even sturdier than these but I found the Mammuts fit well and don't give blisters. Maybe it's the memory foam in the soles, tongue, collar etc. They're snug but have the right amount of space to move your toes. Well wear and happy hiking.

    Enjoyed that ... I have just bought the same tent and funny enough the Pocket Rocket also ha ha ... just gathering my stuff bit by bit as I am 61 years (still pretty fit though) as I am plucking up courage for a spot of wild camping myself. I love Wales and scoping it where to try, I am a keen motorcyclist and want to be able to ride out and then be able to leave my bike somewhere safe then walk out and find a spot. I was a proper keen MTB'r for years but not rode much for a year or so, although I have rode bikes all over Europe and often camped its never been wild camping so always a bit 'safe' if you get me? Just fancy doing just what you did on this clip and being somewhere remote and then a bit of breakfast, pack up and leave no trace ... you have made my mind up and I will sort myslef out in the next 3 or 4 weeks and get out there ... cheers bud.

      Thanks Dan. To be honest I've Been Using the Vango Cairngorm 200 for A While That Colour Really Suits The Surroundings more especially if You Going To do Some Stealth Camping. But IRS Still Green I thought So I Stuck With That. Good Luck with The Buy. Cheers Andrew.

    Awesome looking tent, I bought a Nature Hike Cloud Up 2 in Forest Green & it’s exactly the same pitching except the pole across the top. I originally was going to get a Burghaus but was never keen on the colour Red & I am so glad I purchased a Cloud Up 2 instead 👌 I’m just waiting for this 🔒 down to end before I can go on my first ever wild camp.
