How To Make A Cricut Fall Farmhouse Sign
Very nice
help i need a password but the email address just bounces
Thank you, the weld tip at the end was very helpful too :-)
Good! I'm glad it was helpful!
Hello 👋, why do I have to flip the image?
Thanks for the information!
I was looking all over to figure out how to get new fonts into XCS and your video was the most to the point and easy to understand. Thank you!
I'm so glad it helped! I had looked all over too, so when I finally figured it out I had to share!
This was helpful. Thanks for the paper and foil tip. Good centering.
Thank you!
CAN YOU SHARE YOUR SETTINGS? THAT WAS AMAZING!!! THANK YOU
Just wanted to say THANK YOU! This is the most helpful video I’ve found to engrave tumblers!!!
You're welcome! I'm glad you found it helpful!
any chance you know why when i trying to do a tumbler like the pink one in your video....(up and down not sideways) it doesnt come out right. example: i put in 5 inches length and 3 inches wide and it frames correct but when it actually lasers it does it small and not to the measurements. i have to end up putting the measurements in longer than what the cup is to actually get it to the size i need which is from bottom to top of the tumbler. Im stumped
i never know what my settings should be for a tumbler. im new
Each machine can be different depending on how you set up your focus. Plus, the colors may need different settings for each color I usually test around 85 power and speed 35 and adjust from there. It's also a good idea to run a test grid on a spare tumbler.
Your RA2 should be the other way around , that’s why you have to mirror more often than you should need to
Great job! I love the project! Thank you for sharing it!!
Hey there! Thanks so much! It turned out pretty cute!
the bag measurements are not lining up. the bag not folding correctly
you dont have to mirror the image. youre doing this entirely backwards
What settings would this be for 10w diode that I’m running at mm/m? I’m so new to this I’m lost at the mm/s settings 😢
Well done
Thanks so much!
If you flip your rotary attachment 180 degrees (so the word XTOOL can be read right side up instead of upside down), you won't need to mirror your design.
Hi Stacy! Yes I know. :) I didn't clarify that in the video but I had it set that way due to my overall set up. I'm moving into a new shop this month so I'll be changing it now. Thanks for watching and letting me know though! It's always great to learn from others in the laser community. :)
Gosh you are a natural teacher. Thanks so much for that. You are the best!!
Aw, thanks so much! I try to keep it simple and easy to understand. Crafting with our machines shouldn't be a mystery!
Hi i love the tutorial. Ive just set my d1 up and im doing a glass. when i Frame the cross hairs are just going side to side across the glass and not the other way. Could you please help? Thank you
Sorry I just saw this comment! Were you able to figure out your issue?
@@DustyBlueCottage yes mate
Glad to hear that! @@dannoc1070
I finally feel confident to get started!! Please do more videos. You are the perfect teacher! Thank you so much!!❤
Thanks again! More videos are on the way!
WOW!! I got my xtool a month ago but due to a busy Dec. schedule I couldn't get started. I've been watching so many other's videos and yours is by far the most I've been able to comprehend and follow along with without getting confused. Please make more. Xtool should hire you to create a series for us beginners who need slow instruction we can follow along with. I'm a "doer learner" so the watching part for me needs to be slower
Thank you so much! I'm also a "doer learner" and a visual learner so I think that's why I gravitate to teaching that way. I'm so glad you've found it helpful and I have some new videos coming soon! Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you! What font are you using?
Hi! Check the description box for the video! I've listed all the fonts in there!
The Xtool name on the RA2 should be facing you instead up upside down.... you got it facing the wrong way so you are having to mirror your images...
Yes I know. You're right! If the words are facing you then you don't need to mirror the design. :) The way my machine and supplies are on my workbench it's easier for me to do facing this way.
@DustyBlueCottage Yes ma'am. I meant no offense. I just got the XTool D1 Pro 20W for Christmas and am learning to use it! I am by no means an expert...lol! Thank you for this video it has some great info! Take care!
@@joeyleerobbins I'm not offended at all. :) When I move into my new workshop I'll be moving things so I don't need to take the extra step! Thanks for watching! :)
Do you have any videos that show the name on the cup sideways? And thank you for your video.❤
No I don't - but I can do one for you! Watch for it soon!
Hi! Love your video. So helpful. Having trouble with the engrave function. It keeps filling in the a’s, p’s, and o’s. Do you have a suggestion?
Hi! Sorry I just saw this comment! Were you able to figure it out? It seems like it would be an issue with the svg.
I'm glad I found this tutorial. I was engraving well, and then all of a sudden my images started engraving wrong. I am going to see if this works!
I hope it worked out for you!
Great video. Thank you!
Thanks so much for watching!
Three winners! Beautiful!
Thanks so much! Glad you liked them. :)
How can you download fonts on the iPad Pro?
I really can't help with that one. I don't have an iPad. Sorry.
The rotary tool is backwards that is why you have to mirror the image.
Yes I know. :) I wasn't clear in the video as to why it's backward. It's the way I have my table set up. But I'll explain it better in a future video. Thanks for watching!
At what speed do you run your air assist?
Thanks for the tutorial, very helpful.
You're welcome! Thanks so much for watching!
Hello new to laser engraving I have the d1 pro 10w when engraving on my test tumbler I’m getting lines on my engraved area not smooth any idea what I could doing wrong
My first two guesses would be that the focus isn't right or that your power is too high and it's burning a bit. How are you setting the focus and what power are you using?
What box and fume extractor are you using?
It's Xtool's enclosure and fan. I'll be upgrading the system soon because I'd like it to be a little more powerful than it is.
Now go back & pull out some colors on the stainless steel you exposed it what I’m wanting to do
Ok - I'll run some tests and try to get a video up soon!
By far the easiest way to do it
Thank you so much! :)
I want to make the Christmas Tree card; I have scrolled through the images in Cricut Access and cannot find this paricular tree; do you have the number code for it? Thank you
Yep :) the number is #M110FB7C2 - and the name is Christmas Tree Swirl
Found it...many thanks
How do you make envelopes for these cards they are lovely
I like how you explain stuff I am thinking of buy an Xtool I saw you have Xtool 20 watt I’m looking at Xtool D1 Pro 10 watt bundle do you think the 10 watt will do what you are doing
Hi! Thanks so much! I have the Xtool D1 Pro 20 watt. I have the rotary attachment and the air assist. I also have Xtool's enclosure and fan but I'm going to be changing that because I want it to be a bit more powerful. www.xtool.com/?ref=rPIpCYYlOvmI7G&
Just found Your site I really like your videos
Thanks so much Jerry!
The only thing is the metal pull down is to touch the material in order to put the laser at the proper height, then moved out of the way when framing and machine use, nice easy to understand video for beginners, some people go on and on and lose their audience this was simply, thanks
Thanks so much for watching!
Literally the best video to watch when just starting out! You take the time to explain everything
Wow! Thank you so much! I'm a visual learner so I try to make things as clear as possible! Thank you for watching!
Very good, clear tutorial. Thanks!
Thank you! And thanks for watching!
Loved your tumblers. When you have a chance, can you engrave some coffee mugs as well, please? Thanks.
Sure! I can do that for you. Are you interested in engraving clear glass or other mugs?
Turn your rotary around and you don't need to mirror your image
Yeah, I know that would fix the mirroring issue. I had my machine set up this way for a while but I will have to do an updated video to clarify this! Thank you for watching!
My chuck attachment and the software don't agree. I put in the measurements and it defaults to other measurements immediately after putting measurements in. Any advice? Is the chuck and roller the same gear ratio? I'm not the only one with this issue and I have done all the updates
Are you using the XCS software? You only need to enter the perimeter. You don't need to enter it and the diameter both. I only list the perimeter and I haven't had an issue.
@@DustyBlueCottage I'm using the stock software that the Xtool came with. I'm so frustrated with it that I'm about to give up. No matter what measurements I input, it defaults to the same number. It must be some kind of default glitch
@@e-villekings4789 Are you using the material setting as "user defined material"?
For others coming to see what settings she used (on the final burn - xTool D1 Pro 20W) - Power 75% - Speed 30% - 1 pass - 100 lines/ cm
Thanks for adding that! :)
Genuinely curious, if the laser puts the image on the cup exactly how you see it on the screen why do you have to mirrior it. Wouldn't it just go on correctly?
If you have the rotary facing you, so that you can read the word XTOOL correctly, then you don't have to mirror. I had mine set up backward due to my layout on my table. If you turn the rotary around you don't need to mirror. I should make another video to clarify! Thanks for watching!
What a great tutorial! I’m new to xtool and very intimidated by my machine. I am still learning. Perfect user friendly instructions! Thank you!
Aw, thanks so much for watching! I getting ready to put out a few more videos so stay tunned!
Great video! What font did you use for the names Audrey and Denise? Thanks!
HI! I've been asked for the fonts a few times so I just listed them for you in the description of the video. Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks!@@DustyBlueCottage
