Glad you've watched it! When I was a kid, I got it from my father on VHS. First I was hesitant to watch it finding it's art old and mediocre compared to American cartoons I've grown on, even being a Russian in Russia. But when I finally did, man, it's fucking nailed it. 😎 The entire voice acting cast are Soviet movie and theatre stars by the way, all are great and famous in their own right.

i do think you could have gotten a newer Mattel rex, this Hasbro one is... infamous, to say the least. And that is a very old Hulk figure, there are definitely cheaper, newer options, especially if you bought it sealed, but it does have that classic toy feel to it

Being the son of Ukrainian immigrants, I grew up with this movie as a kid. Even as a wee lil mal'chik, I knew there was something very special to it compared to American animation that always had me come back to it at certain points in my life. I was actually taken aback when memes of the movie became mainstream leading to Westerners actually appreciating it.

This was a very fun video to see! I have been making custom action figures for years now. And its so nice to see someone getting inspired and dabble into the hobby himself. You did a great job! I guess Billy Bones having an actual stroke would have been to difficult to explain to younger audiences? However, in the russian language, the word for a stroke is "удар", which also means "a hit", or a "blow". So it may have been easier to show a stroke as a hit to the head.

Go try soviet maugli 1967 it is great. And on the part on soviet animation(not russian ) it is quite more serious then american in its tone, sometimes darker but tends to have jokes hiden and not exp[lainet, so even if you grow up you find something new.
