Great catch of that Loram rail-grinder unit! Ever see one of those things operating at night? What a lightshow! Hey, what's with the police sirens? Was the Loram unit speeding? Thanks for going out on what looked like a rainy, miserable day and shooting video for us to enjoy!
it was a great time. the train has a siren on it but what for? not sure what it's for
@@nepa-njrailfan8533 Just a wild guess on my part but I'm betting it's to let all concerned know rail grinding operations are about to begin. Sparks and detritus are going to be flying all over and depending on conditions trackside fires caused by the sparks are a distinct possibility. So the siren's a signal for " Get ready boys, the action's about to start!" As I said, just a guess.
yes indeed
Nice layouts! Thanks for sharing them with us!
Over to Steamtown for some D-L Alco action! Thanks for bringing us along! You know, the Delaware-Lackawanna's kind of like a functioning rail museum in it's own right!
Yea nice video at the Syracuse train yard
Cool video, well done!
😅
Hey, it seems like you catch SU100 through Hancock a lot is there any specific time they come through, thanks in advance
monday and wednesday between 7:30-9:30
You would think that this would be a Norfolk Southern job since they technically still own the entire line from Suffern all the way to Buffalo.
Interesting! Catching a light engine move like that has to be a bit unusual. Oh yeah, take care of those EMD's the way you should and don't abuse them and they seem to last forever. NJ Transit's got some over 60 years old and still earning their keep.
A wonderful place to visit. There is something for everyone to see.
This may be one of the last times for a while that we see Clinchfield equipment operating. - Sorry, mistook the Lackawanna 664 in the thumbnail for Clinchfield 800. But still, dozens perished, communities are isolated, interstates are demolished, and to top it off, we may have seen the end of a handful of scenic and historic railroads. The last week has been hard, and the coming weeks won’t be much different. I send my prayers to those who are affected by this tragedy, and for those who will be affected by the subsequent economic disruption. In a time where we can’t afford groceries, the worst thing that could happen to increase costs actually happened. For what it’s worth, all who are affected are in my prayers.
Did you ask how we can support 3713's restoration nowadays?
That's the Steamtown Railfest in Scranton, PA, right?
cool video
Looks like the the island of soder for m Thomas and friends peep peep
@@lidastoner3069 but for some reason i wasn't able to spot the fat controller this time😂
Nice catch of that trackwork operation! And that's some pretty country up there too! Thanks for bringing us along!
Excellent video my friends awesome 😮like and Greeting 🙋🏻♂️ from Argentina 🇦🇷
perfect example of whiteman oppression of indigineous peoples of the world.
Thank you, well done.
Nice! I love the way the anticipation builds on this, the crossing gate lights and bells in the distance, the glow of the approaching trains, and then WHAM! There it is! And a fun touch at the end with the bell chiming the time! Well done!
Looks like it was a fun day! Thanks for bringing us along!
you welcome you will have to come and see it sometime!
@@nepa-njrailfan8533 Oh yeah, one of these days!
Nice! I saw it in Narrowsburg
Nice catch of a VERY unusual unit! Have you ever seen one of those Loram rail grinders in action? I have. It's a spectacular sight during the day and an unblieveable one at night! Thanks for posting!
Not yet but maybe someday
Nice! Nothing like a little Suzy-Q in the night!
i love it in the dark
Nice video 👍♥️
I just subscribed to your TH-cam channel
Nice video
Thanks
I don't know Luke. The D&H was well and alive last night with D&H 4118 on 31t
@@DH2906PRODUCTIONS 😂 very funny joe
That little switcher's got a BIG voice, doesn't it? Thanks for posting!
Thanks for posting! That looks like a fine layout. I'm assuming your friend's an MTH fan, those engines are putting out enough smoke to turn a yard fogger green with envy! That's a great find he has in that O&W Mountain steam engine, there's not too many of them floating around.
Good action! I'm intrigued though, do you know what the story is with those two NS locomotives pulling that old heavyweight passenger car?
@@wayneantoniazzi2706 Yes the passenger car used to be a delaware lackawanna and western observation car and now it is part of the ns track geometry train.
@@nepa-njrailfan8533 Thanks!
Well thanks for going out in the rain to bring us that! Short but sweet!
Oh this is so pretty! great shot!
thank you
Uuuuh, there is more - I love it. At what time of the day does the train run? Looks like dusk ... does it come every day around the same time? I'd like to catch it one day as well.
this is an normal train are usually after dark
This is great - I drive regularly along Route 17 towards Binghamton and back - I always wondered if those tracks I see along the street in Hancock / Deposit are really are in use. Apparently there are trains running! In which direction runs SU-99? Towards Port Jervis or Binghamton? Is it a daily service?
They are the same tracks. su99 runs from originates in New Jersey and goes through Port Jervis up to Binghamton. i have another video of a train on this line coming out this week you might also enjoy.
Great video angle!
Thanks!
That was a fun day. Thanks for coming to visit me on the D&H
Any time!
Nice video
I really like Hancock whistles
Man, I LOVE that Hancock Air Whistle! Oh-so-cool! Thanks for posting!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nicely done! Loved that "golden glow" opening sequence!
thank you
Great video. I subscribed to your channel as well!
Thank you!
Nice catch of that CM&Q locomotive! What location were you shooting at? It looked pretty vintage.
bainbridge ny
@@nepa-njrailfan8533 Thanks!
😆 both of our CMQ videos released at the same time
Cool
Well that was nice and atmospheric! I'm curious, it's Suszy-Q trackage now but who's was it originally? I'm thinking Lehigh & Hudson River or possibly Ontario & Western since Cadosia's so close? Needless to say I could be WAY off on both guesses!
former erie rr tracks and then later erie lackawanna and then conrail and norfolk southern. the o&w used to pass over it in on a bridge from pa into hancock. the tracks went were ny17 is now
@@nepa-njrailfan8533 Thanks! I was aware the Erie crossed the Delaware further south at Mill Rift but didn't think they also went as far north as Hancock. See? It's a wasted day if you don't learn something new and I just did! 🤩
@@wayneantoniazzi2706 they went all the way to bing and curated west. currently staying in jamestown ny along the ns southern tier witch is former wire trackage.
@@nepa-njrailfan8533 Thanks!
"Beutifull Clark" 😂
"...but the little lights are not twinkeling!"
Good work Luke
Thanks, i'll have to come back up to the D&H to make more videos with you and even sometime.
That train was moving all pretty good, wasn't it? And don't you HATE those electronic bells? Yuck! If they can make them sound real on model trains why can't they make them sond real on crossing gates? Thanks for posting!
I love the shot i can get at night at this crossing but the crossing itself is just annoying 😂
Nice catches! Just curious, any idea what's wrong with the line between Hawley and Lackawaxen? Seems that portion is out of service again. Also wonder what became of that second F7 in Erie Lackawanna paint that was sitting in Honesdale for a while.
Excursions only run to Hawley now and the rest of the line has only been used to interchange with New York Susquehanna and Western. The EL f unit has been cosmetically restored and put on display.
