A wonderful place to visit. There is something for everyone to see.
This may be one of the last times for a while that we see Clinchfield equipment operating. - Sorry, mistook the Lackawanna 664 in the thumbnail for Clinchfield 800. But still, dozens perished, communities are isolated, interstates are demolished, and to top it off, we may have seen the end of a handful of scenic and historic railroads. The last week has been hard, and the coming weeks won’t be much different. I send my prayers to those who are affected by this tragedy, and for those who will be affected by the subsequent economic disruption. In a time where we can’t afford groceries, the worst thing that could happen to increase costs actually happened. For what it’s worth, all who are affected are in my prayers.
Did you ask how we can support 3713's restoration nowadays?

Nice! I love the way the anticipation builds on this, the crossing gate lights and bells in the distance, the glow of the approaching trains, and then WHAM! There it is! And a fun touch at the end with the bell chiming the time! Well done!

Thanks for posting! That looks like a fine layout. I'm assuming your friend's an MTH fan, those engines are putting out enough smoke to turn a yard fogger green with envy! That's a great find he has in that O&W Mountain steam engine, there's not too many of them floating around.
Good action! I'm intrigued though, do you know what the story is with those two NS locomotives pulling that old heavyweight passenger car?
@@wayneantoniazzi2706 Yes the passenger car used to be a delaware lackawanna and western observation car and now it is part of the ns track geometry train.

Uuuuh, there is more - I love it. At what time of the day does the train run? Looks like dusk ... does it come every day around the same time? I'd like to catch it one day as well.

This is great - I drive regularly along Route 17 towards Binghamton and back - I always wondered if those tracks I see along the street in Hancock / Deposit are really are in use. Apparently there are trains running! In which direction runs SU-99? Towards Port Jervis or Binghamton? Is it a daily service?
They are the same tracks. su99 runs from originates in New Jersey and goes through Port Jervis up to Binghamton. i have another video of a train on this line coming out this week you might also enjoy.

Well that was nice and atmospheric! I'm curious, it's Suszy-Q trackage now but who's was it originally? I'm thinking Lehigh & Hudson River or possibly Ontario & Western since Cadosia's so close? Needless to say I could be WAY off on both guesses!
former erie rr tracks and then later erie lackawanna and then conrail and norfolk southern. the o&w used to pass over it in on a bridge from pa into hancock. the tracks went were ny17 is now
@@nepa-njrailfan8533 Thanks! I was aware the Erie crossed the Delaware further south at Mill Rift but didn't think they also went as far north as Hancock. See? It's a wasted day if you don't learn something new and I just did! 🤩
@@wayneantoniazzi2706 they went all the way to bing and curated west. currently staying in jamestown ny along the ns southern tier witch is former wire trackage.

That train was moving all pretty good, wasn't it? And don't you HATE those electronic bells? Yuck! If they can make them sound real on model trains why can't they make them sond real on crossing gates? Thanks for posting!

Nice catches! Just curious, any idea what's wrong with the line between Hawley and Lackawaxen? Seems that portion is out of service again. Also wonder what became of that second F7 in Erie Lackawanna paint that was sitting in Honesdale for a while.
Excursions only run to Hawley now and the rest of the line has only been used to interchange with New York Susquehanna and Western. The EL f unit has been cosmetically restored and put on display.
Wonderfull loco and Paint scheme.
