      I don't have any converse so can't advise on this unfortunately. But I have used it on canvas fabric TOMS (the pink pair shown in the video) and it worked fairly well for me. It's just the effect doesn't last unless you wear the shoes all the time, so I need to keep restretching them if I haven't been wearing them.

    • @prettybigshoes
      @prettybigshoes 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you bought from Nike online direct, you can still return them after wearing them so I would just do that. Otherwise, stretchers work best for width rather than length, so if it's the very tip that is pressing on your big toe it might not work, but if it's the overall front of the shoe pinching your pinkie toes etc, it should. I've a full stretcher demo here: th-cam.com/video/oWz7f5AlJis/w-d-xo.html

      I've heard this said. I've tried on Stan Smiths but they didn't feel comfy at all so I've never had a pair to truly compare. In fairness, while my Campos feel nice & comfy to me now (except walking >3 miles), they took time to get used to as I was used to super soft sneakers like Skechers. My daughter measures as an 8 extra extra wide. Will this work on a wide shoe? I'm not sure what size stretcher I need.

    • @prettybigshoes
      @prettybigshoes 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The width doesn’t affect which stretcher you need Staci. Any shoe stretcher that works for size 8 (which should be all small-medium or women’s ones) will do. It makes whatever shoe you use it on wider. So an already wide shoe will become even wider but it works best for shoes made of leather or other materials which have material stretch in them. Hope this helps

    • @prettybigshoes
      @prettybigshoes 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If they’re not wide enough, the shoe stretcher should work great. If they’re much too short, it may not work. I’ve only been able to make shoes feel about half a size longer to date. But leather shoes do stretch best so it’s well worth a go if you want to keep and wear the shoes. Hope this helps & good luck 🤞

    • @prettybigshoes
      @prettybigshoes 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes I find 48 hours works best, but the instructions say 24 hours I think. The longer you leave them, the better the chance they will stay stretched. Although if you don’t wear them long term, you may need to repeat the stretching again. Hope this helps

    • @prettybigshoes
      @prettybigshoes 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Candella, sorry to hear this. That sounds like my exact style (bright stride) because they came in white or black. I made mine wider but the rainbow bits didn't come loose because they are spandex/elastic. Did you stretch your shoes, or did the rainbow bits just come loose? If your Skechers are quite new, I would try returning them to the store or contacting Skechers first because that shouldn't happen. Otherwise, you could try wetting the rainbow strands and then maybe blow dry them? I returned my pair to Skechers because they got a hole after 2 months. I could never find another pair and really miss them. So I hope yours last longer. Best of luck, Janine.

      @@AMAM-yf2om Many people actually complain about the tongue being painful in the beginning and cutting into the bare skin if you wear short socks but after a short time you break the shoes in it becomes comfortable. My Vejas are full white and so I wear them with full-white and scrunched crew socks most of the time and I never had a problem with an uncomfortable feeling even not in the beginning. This was a really good review. I just got a pair of canvas Campos, and your description of them feeling hard underfoot, like skate shoes, is totally spot on. That was a big surprise to me, not what I expected at all. They're so hard, they make a clacking sound against the pavement, almost like they're plastic. I'm relieved to hear yours softened up a bit after a couple weeks, hope these do, too, because at the moment I would say these are quite uncomfortable. I'm used to a cushiony shoe, though, so maybe people who aren't wouldn't notice anything off about these. Personality, I feel like I'm wearing men's dress shoes around.

    • @prettybigshoes
      @prettybigshoes ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad the review helped, but unfortunately while the initial hard skate sole feel faded for me, they did not feel more cushioned over time. The insoles are removable, so you could try more cushioned insoles. But if you aren't happy & don't find them comfortable, I would try contacting Veja customer service to see what they can offer you.

    • @narutodayo
      @narutodayo ปีที่แล้ว

      @@prettybigshoes Thanks for the helpful feedback. Yes, I notice that the entire shoe's cushioning comes only from its (quite firm and stiff) insole; remove that, and you can pinch between the shoe interior and the sole exterior and have only a fraction of an inch between your fingers; there is no cushioning built into the shoe itself at all. I may try an insole transplant, as you suggest, but it's disappointing, as part of the shoe's appeal is its environmental sustainability. Not only is having to buy a new insole wasteful but I'm not sure if there is much out there in terms of an environmentally friendly replacement insole. At any rate, I'll give the shoe a couple weeks and see how it feels after then. Maybe the sole softening up will be enough.

    • @prettybigshoes
      @prettybigshoes ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve actually just got a new pair & the insole seems a bit thinner to me than my original pair & they weigh slightly lighter too. So Campos may have minor manufacture changes over time too. I’ll be reporting back on my blog & hopefully a new video soon.

      @@narutodayo yes there could well be some differences. Veja could fill you in on the specifics. From a sustainability viewpoint, they do intend their products to last at least. I like the way you say bunions! Seriously, I just received my stretchers and thought "I need a lesson from TH-cam." Thanks for the straightforward video!

    Thank you for making this video! I was trying to figure out the instructions, and the incomprehensible English manual made it difficult.

    I am always 38 and 38 is too small so they are not true to size

      Thanks for the sizing feedback. My sister & I both actually wear one euro size smaller than usual in Veja Campo. I think they can feel generous because they are quite wide, but feet are so individual so thanks for sharing your experience.
