On semi-cloudy days you'd wish you had more panels. Over paneling isn't a bad thing and having backup battery power available for at least 3 days without the sun is also nice-to-haves which will become ideal if you want to go completely off-grid.
Thanks!! I've been looking for this! 😂
Thanks for the video .I can not find all the settings for the inverter on PV Master advance settings .only have power limit / shadow screen /back up / battery activated / power factor / voltage / discharge current and dept of discharge .
Guten tag, it's a good machine, just not the best app.
Bro link of this product
Does this work for other liquids (juice, soda etc)
@@IbrahimIlyasScimtar hmm interesting haven’t tried it but I guess it would
How Price????
@@uzzal.mondal about $50
Deye & Sunsynk is the same hardware, the software is different. What huge loads do they have so they can use them, moreso during the day. In winter or rainy months, they’ll not need to worry about Loadshedding. Is the house split to Essentials & non-essentials?
Great information
That beeping sou d drove me crazy! Almost smashed that sensor to make it stop beeping. Thanks for this I replaced 😂
I have this inverter...do you know if i can use it with a diy battery withiout bms comms

2*100AH ?? I didn’t get it
OK.
Very cool
Why do you not use solar to heat your boilers? You could have used PVT panels to heat your boilers and heat the house by floorheating from the solar boilers too. Even the winters un SA have plenty of sunshine. (Been there)
Hello thanks where are you from? I do use solar to heat the water. Watch this video. th-cam.com/video/_xClSxBWfqs/w-d-xo.html
All I know, is, I got a Pride MED go power chair, with 2 Acid filled Nano - Silica sealed, 12 volt & 20 ah. I wanted to upgrade, change to a new lithium ion battery, but must also change are power controls, and a new charger, would be $600.00 too much, will stay with the Interceptor 2 non spillable Sealed Lead Acid Battery, NANO - SILICA Type NB12,200 High Performance 12 V. - 20 ah. a 2 pack batteries
Waiting patiently for updates.
running a smaller engine on full throttle kills the car faster whereas running a bigger engine with only 10% throttle makes everything smooth and long lasting
An inverter ain’t a car.
@ElecAndAll Exactly lmao. If his statemEnt was anywhere remotely true, Voltage.Transformers that convert grid power voltages would all die within 2 years lmao. Mechanical is different with electrical. As long as your Capacity is correct, it will last. Oversizing in electrical is usually to avoid overloading events from damage due to excess cyrrent/voltage due to non-normal events.
@@kevinmax101 you’re a Filipino. A mosfet of peek 100a should not be used for more than 20a of continuous use. High ampere is high heat. Are you going to teach me about electronics? What have you built so far? Lemme guess just plain bs. I have made many things in both mechanical electrical electronics software hardware you name it so back off buddy
Glad u kept it simple and didnt add too many more fault points or gadgets that can fail.
You tamp it down not stamp it down.
Sir, it's "Ind lish". Thanks for watching
i blew my ac port by passthrough powering a 1500watt ac unit. when i unplugged it from the wall it blew that fuse. so now im stuck with slow charging via the xt60 port. i bought a ac to cigarette port cord so i can charge it in my house. just takes like 6 hours.
can u post pics of the fuse or circuit board that's damaged/blown? so we can see what needs to be replaced.
Is it noisy? I'm planning to install a similar Inverter inside the house, under the stairs.. Thank you!
Yeah it does get noisy. Needs ventilation too
The 5kw Deye has a huge heatsink and has only 1 fan the comes on when pushed really hard. The entire back is a heatsink and does a really good job. You can hear the fan but it is not loud enough to be annoying and very seldom comes on.
That's was the most simple and BEST way to explain Watts and inverter numbers. I got sick of all the jargon and no practical examples on TH-cam. Simple language. Thanks.
Very insightful. Thank you!
Could I contact you on twitter?
I have Sunsynk 5.32 battery with inverter and 2.4 kw panels, only issue I have is the mobile app is absolutely crap, read the comments on both Android and IOS, this company should not be able to get away with it in my view, unable to really see what I generate in power and where it goes.
Hi could you please advise on a 3rd party to repair my EcoFlow river device? I unfortunately lost my proof of purchase. CSA brands has quoted me 3k to repair the device, which I feel is excessive. Apparently it’s a PSDR board failure
Yeah I had mine repaired at a friend. Send me your email and I'll refer him to you
Hi there, does button 1 remain on the right as shown when doing the reset?

Thank you for this Video probably save me a call out for the technician
Hi. Can you show how it connects to ont
Not all heroes wear capes 👌 Just what I needed.
What else can it be if it keeps making that sound after I have replaced the batteries?
Simple question, what happens if your batteries are full and the pv generates more than what you use, you can't sell back to the grid (net metering), so where does the excess generated electricity go?
I can push to the grid, but I don't do so since it's an externality. It's wasted..this usually happens a on a perfectly sunny day. So after 1330, about 60% is wasted.
@@ElecAndAll Maybe "sell" to the neighbours, if they invest in the infrastructure with battery... 🤫
I Iike how he said "bio gas is not used much in South Africa, is do believe it's much more used in the US" because a US citizen would say exactly the opposite 😂
Lol..depends which state I guess. Methane gas was used since 1990's for central heating.
@@MrBoss-zn5vn no I don't think it's worth it. It will require a fair amount of waste to process at a small scale
It's a good system. In winter they will have enough power
Good morning i hope you can help me i need n coms cable or make one for this inverter with esener battery
Use the Can interface.
Thank you so so so much. This sound has been tormenting me. I didn't even wait for the video to finish🤣🤣. As soon as I saw there are batteries and how to open the sensor, I ran out with my lil tool box. I'm at peace now.

How good is the Five Star inveters?
Haven't used them although I see that a large chain store stocks them. That's a good sign I guess
Thanks for taking the time to reply to my mgs @@ElecAndAll
Which chain store has them? I need them in GP
Best video yet. Very informative. Thanks.
How do you feel about Bio-Gas to use for heating boilers?
Coming soon....watch this space
Great video and happy new years. I would love if you did a run on the aircon. I would like to install maybe 1 or 2 aircon 9000btu units but unsure what is the demand on my 5kw deye
Running 1 will work. Not both simultaneously

8 kW hybrid is the least reliable model. We stick with the 5 kW single phase and the 10 kW three phases
What was your experience with the 8kw model?
Tricky to get the right firmware. Didn't work in parallel
Maybe, you should remove this video, as it is hopelesly outdated, and therefore is giving false info. Even, solar geysers arre outdated, and replaced by gas geysers that do not need water reservoirs, and a 19kg bottle gives me 6 months of warm water supply, in a 3bedroomed home!!! R800 for a bottle refill... A sunsynk solar system is saving us from load shedding headaches and an ever more expensive kwh cost from a bankrupt utility...
Ok
Assalaamu alaikum, Change your geyser element to a 2kw GeyserWise PTC with wifi controller Also install a CBI Astute Smart Controller and change over switch for the geyser In that way you can switch your geyser between grid and backup whenever you want, and you can also control the geyser and temperature from your phone Works well for me Also installed change over switch for my electric stove. Stove runs off grid but there's been the odd occasion when it was load shedding and the wife asked me to switch the stove to backup. Also works well for me.
و عليكم السلام I built my own Wi-Fi geyser controller that uploads data points and plots it. Take a look here Off Grid Solar Water Heating - Is It Worth It? th-cam.com/video/_xClSxBWfqs/w-d-xo.html I have a changeover for the geyser, so I can run it off the inverter if required. No need for the cbi astute with my own invention. Those ptc elements are expensive.
@@ElecAndAll yes, they're expensive, but worth it, they do the same job as the normal 4kw spiral but with half the effort And I can switch my geyser between grid and inverter whenever I want ROI is achieved in like 6 months
@YusufCassim-mj3pq I'll demonstrate a more efficient solution soon.
Assalamu Alaykum. It has been extremely valuable being able to learn from your journey. You went from a smallish system to a very big one in a short period of time it seems.. would you recommend going big inverter up front and then slowly build the solar and battery capacity as one goes along ?
I have an 8kw inverter with 2 x 5kw batteries, and now with hindsight, I'm thinking I should have went with 2 x 5kw inverters or 1 x 12kw inverter. So yes, rather go big on inverter from onset because it's the most expensive item and is also the heart of the system. All other items can be added gradually as budget permits.
و عليكم السلام Best to go big bang at once. It's difficult to match old with new as the tech changes rapidly.
@ElecAndAll Great video and happy new years. I would love if you did a run on the aircon. I would like to install maybe 1 or 2 aircon 9000btu units but unsure what is the demand on my 5kw deye
Just to add to my previous comment / proposal, i love the fact that a South African comes up with this vid in the reality of our loadshedding environment. 👏👏 I, as i asume 95% of all normal non-electricians, have some basic questions, too many to post here, but as an e.g., i notice you also have a Jo-Jo water tank installed (that is going to be the nirm for 90% of houses in SA over the nxt 2 years due to our water problems), the pump/motor most probable switches on and off every 5 mins, which means the start-up current is a factor of 4x / 6x? the rated voltage on start-up and will have a dramatic impact on your power source ( e.g. a 1kw motor might draw 4kw / 6kw on start up for a couple if secs) so your inverter set-up should be able to handle that. How do you spec your system to cater for such peaks?
First I used a DAB 2.5bar smart switch pump who was rated 600w. It didn't affect the system at all. Now I have a DAB VSD (variable speed pump) which adjusts the power according to demand.
Nice video. How loud is the fan and at how many kw power draw/production does it come on?
Loud enough to cause a nuisance. By 10am it's on while charging the battery around 9 kw's.
Interesting the comment on that this system is oversized. Question...what is yhe kw/h usage per day and what appliances is connected. I have a 8kva Deye inverter and all appliances is connected...even the 200l geyeser with a smart switch. Have 8 x 550w pannels on a string with 2 strings connected to each mppt.
Hallo Johan. Ja, I mean the PV is oversized as 80% of the time the system isn't utilising the full PV capacity. What they should do is increase the battery bank so that they maximise their PV.
At what rate is the battery charging from the grid. or can the draw power be set to a slow speed of drawing from the grid?
I believe it is configurable. I think mines is set at 50A.
but learning 403 versus 433MHz is a bit different
