As a Boomer raised with crafty female relatives, I was knitting and crocheting during recess in fourth grade and tatting by sixth. I am so glad to see the college age and younger folks getting interested in it again. I think maybe a generation missed the handmade movement I experienced in the earthy 70's. Recently I was at a music festival in Colorado and was crocheting in the audience for four days and nights. You would not believe the number of men (!) who sidled up to me and asked what I was doing. Not what I was MAKING, they did not even know the handcraft I was doing! The women did not seem interested, just in their phones. :-)

I think your signs such as 'Look at all those chickens' and other signs really encouraged sales. And the one explaining that crochet cant be done by machine - I've found a lot of people actually believe it IS done by machine! And If/when I ever do a market, I'd love to have the same idea for various signs. (will be at least a couple of years, trying to move out of state right now) CONGRATS on a great market!!

Don’t know what size hook you used but I use S&K all the time for my baby whales and ghosts I make. I use a 6.5mm size hook and I love the turnout from it. 😊

One young kid came back like 4 times with his friends and they bought $60 worth!! Funny story - one of the first bags they bought had wash cloths in it lol and they just kept coming back!! So glad your market went well! Which pattern did you use for the squid you sold? Also, how do you get your Fred Turtle fins to be less floppy!? Mine always turn out super floppy. I do tack the head to the shell, but it seems like your fins always stick out to the side better than mine that hang down more.
