Hey Johnathan, I sold my birds a long time ago. Life got complicated and didn’t have time. But they were pretty good while I had them. I had a pair of youngsters from that pair and they were fantastic. Thanks for checking in.

I like the design. You did a good Job. I have 2 questions. 1- Do you have a way to lock the trap doors closed individually? 2- How many birds will it accommodate comfortably?
Confederatemule hello there, thanks for the stopping by. I do not have a way to lock the trap doors individually. This loft will accommodate around 12 to 16 birds.

For that breeding loft. Do you have to lock up the pair of birds in order for them to breed in that specific box?
Rags 2 Riches Hi there, well at the very beginning if the pigeons are not paired up yes you do have to lock them up. Then eventually once they are paired you can open up the nesting box.
Nice loft. I plan to make one, not too big, not too small. Say, what are the metals you used for the floor of the loft?

Hi not had a lot of luck with my birds so far. I have only bred 4 chicks and all of them had splayed legs so i had to bind there legs for a few weeks to pull then together. Just got a few more birds from another guy as i think there was something wrong with the breed. I'm moving house in a few months time so i am going to wait till i get moved before i start breeding again.
Danny Carter oh ok, yeah it was probably the breed, or you probably had birds that were too closely inbreeded for a long time. Hopefully you get those birds going pretty soon man.

I'm moving house soon and I'm going to build my new loft the same as this one,i might have to go a bit smaller than yours as I wont have a lot of room.
