webOS is garbage compared to android and google play store. You can't download the simplest of apps that even the worst Chinese TV lets you download. The live TV channels on LG streaming are also garbage. Unless you enjoy watching Forensic Files and Newsmax. But let's be honest those are free apps that every single streaming service provide.

Im really confused. Why do wireless speakers have speaker wires? I just downloaded the manual for the US90TY soundbar that lists these as optional, but you didnt list that soundbar as compatible?

What is the actual reason they don't list the 43 inch LG QNED as compatible for the Synergy brackets? I don't see a problem to attach those brackets on the back and still hold the soundbar, since the soundbar is 950mm long and the TV Is 960mm long?

Hi Mr. Alex. In 2024 models of LG TVs, such as the QNED86 which has an a8 processor, is Dual PC available? What about the combination of live tv + HDMI?

I got webOS 4.5 but can't find the app in the LG Content store, instead of Crunchyroll it only offers me "screen cast" which is absolutely horrible. I'm from Germany. Turns out it's WebOS 4.0 not 4.5 even though it was sold as 4.5

I did what you advised, Jeff, and bought the S40TR. The new SPT8-S rear speakers work great. The one question I have is how to mount them to the wall? Each speaker has a threaded hole on the bottom and back side. Got any clever ideas?

This is all good and dandy. But how can we use the Zoom app on the TV without mirror sharing? I know the TV doesn't have a camera. But the camera isn't always needed. For example, my church uses the Zoom app to stream their church service, so I always have to do a mirror share from my cellphone. It would be nice if we actually had Zoom on TV to minimize the lag from the mirror sharing. I own the LG C3, and I think it would be a great feature.

I purchased an LG 86" UT8050 4K UHD LED Smart TV (2024) from JBHIFI in Australia. The TV was wall-mounted and set up by a local installer. I discovered that my TV has Chromecast built-in. I tried casting music from Roon, but Chrome immediately crashed and the TV shut down. I tried again and the audio was distorted. I shut down and tried again and the audio stuttered. I tried Chromecasting with Qobuz and Plex and got the same result on audio playing out to my Yamaha RX-V6A and the TV speakers. I then tried to play audio from the Plex App in the LG WebOS. That played fine, without any distortion. Thinking this might have been a result of a hurried setup (the installer did this job "on the run" I reset the TV to factory defaults and set it up again. Everything went smoothly. But the problem with Chromecast persists. First time launching Chromecast the app crashed and the TV shutdown. 2nd try I got distorted audio to the receiver and to the TV speakers. Audio and Video are fine on all other apps. I can see no other faults. 

 I've been Googling this and not seeing much info other than a few threads where people are saying that the LG built-in Chromecast feature does not work. I saw that one person returned his TV and the replacement had the same issue with built-in Chromecast. Most discussions on this issue are hijacked by people using a Chromecast streamer or dongle as opposed to the built-in Chromecast. They often talk about turning off this or that specific Chromecast setting, settings that are not accessible with a TV with built in Chromecast. 

In the WebOs when I look at connected source devices Chromecast is there with a "Chromecast Settings" option. The settings have only one option and that is opt-in on sending crash data to Google. Apparently, Google is not monitoring the issue very closely. 

I listen to mostly Hi-Res audio. I wonder if the issue is caused by the bitrate of 24-bit Hi Res flac files. I did notice that when I cast audio that was CD quality (16-bit), the distortion did not occur. This is weird though because in the past I have been able to cast 24-bit audio to Chromecast-enabled devices without any problems. 

 My TV says my firmware is up to date. I did not see a prompt to install a firmware update during setup. I've set software and app updates to be automatic. 

Appreciate any help or even a "Hey, it's not just you, this is a known issue, I've got this problem too".

Buy the S40TR for $199 on sale right now. It is a 4.1 system and has the SPT8-S speakers included for the same price as buying them separately. Use the SPT8-S speakers for the SG10TY and keep the rest of the S40TR for another TV as a 2.1 system. I just got the S40TR system today and this method works!

Many smart TV are just dumb firestick have way more apps and easy to use so just buy TV with proper android os not proprietary os like Webos (LG) nor TizenOs (Samsung) etc or Firestick for TV or Firestick os tv
