How great comments. Anything o look out for on the 2009 model. Ive seen one quite fully loaded and the only thing needing attention is the steering angle sensor, the car would go into cruise control.

Live in the salt states so rust will be a problem on all vehicles, especially ones parked outside, rear subframe and part of the suspension had to be replaced, $700 for the subframe (ebay) and $300 for replacing suspension parts on both ends, car is nice to drive, (150,000 miles) change your cvs transmission oil, car door seals need replacing if you hear whistling noises when driving fast, but only have codes for evap.

D4 EGR valve replaced under warranty at 107000 miles. Otherwise a very nice car.

I have an Alfa Romeo Mito 1.6 Jtdm its already has 299 thousand km and I have never had any problems with the engine. I only had problems with sensors and the vacuum pump and a pulley.

6 months was all I could bear of my 2010 Outback electronic park brake, crashy chassis, rev hang, poor power and handling it was a great disappointment as the previous model was awesome

The bmw 20 diesel engines are amazing .. Im a Bmw mastertec for 28 years .. Keep your oil clean regular service intervals vital . Those timing chains will last 300 00 km

Had mine for 8 years, 11 years on the road, zero issues.

Abs, air conditioning and a door lock . I've had the car two weeks. If the dealer doesn't sort this out it going straight back!

I got a 2013 e84 x1 xdrive28i earlier this year with 23k miles on it. I’m around 26.5k right now. I’m 19 and know nothing about cars or bmw. Any advice to give me about maintenance or longevity?

Model: Fresh. great car, the best I ever had and very practical with our two gsd dogs. Weakness/defects: electric cables from door to car after 7 years ( Bad thin material made in Ukrain, wires break and causes problems), pressure control unit of turbo after 140.000km,( small round wheel is turned oval), gas flap defect at 182.000km, overhauled. 183.000km>> 2 x replacing front and back brakes, doorrubbers defect because you make contact on entry and getting out

WTF the Renault DCi are you taking the piss? I have seen and driven K9K engines with over 200k miles on them. The only issues they suffer with are injector seals failing. The DCi DPF system is one of the most reliable too. Taxi drivers here swear by Dacia Logans with this engine fitted.

I have a 2016 1.0 MPI (75PS) SEL Green Tech Skoda Citigo three door which I've had from new. The car is an absolute pleasure to drive in any weather, has been 100% reliable and positively sips fuel. The heated seats are nice for people with back, hip or leg injuries, as a bout of localised heat can make for a better day. Passengers have reported being comfortable, even in the back seat on a long drive, and I find it to be supportive and comfortable. This was the first car I've had from new, and getting to choose the colour and interior spec' was a new experience for me! In many ways driving my Citigo is reminiscent of being in my Mini City 850, Mini Metro or Bond Bug 700ES in that its such great fun to pootle about in. I have no intention of getting rid of it, even after buying a Ford Transit Custom to make into a camper. I would heartily recommend this model as its been everything I want in a car and it remains such a pleasure to drive, even to the supermarket...
