Hitchens is right on many points, but 9/11 is not one of them. The official narrative is fishy as all hell. Having a knee-jerk reaction to dismiss all "conspiracy theory" with a wave of the hand is no better than latching on uncritically to every baseless conspjracy theory. I have not heard a 9/11 conspiracy-basher yet address the issue of precisely targeted short-selling of airline stock before 9/11, in any depth.

I had a friend who subscribed to the truther nonsense. He also fell into the sovereign citizen stuff and followed Alex Jones. It seems there are some people who are so drawn to wanting to be "blessed with secret knowledge" that they'll ignore evidence and reality until their perception of reality of the universe conforms with their dogma

So many idiots, thinking so much stupid shit.. They see one or things that look questionable in their opinion, but they don't really know, they hear someone say something that backs up something else questionable but those idiots don't know either, they watch a few documentaries made by idiots who think things are questionable and watched JFK too many times, but they dont know either.. Its just a bunch of people looking at things, not knowing anything for sure, all they really know is that when they've seen buildings brought down before in controlled demolitions, that funnily enough, it looks similar to a building falling down and that must mean its a controlled demolition.. What about the " dancing israelis" on 9/11. They said they were there to document the event. Foreknowledge. There are many odd aspects to it. Like how they fell. Like bldg. 7 .Like Larry Silverfish saying they were going to "pull it" refering to bldg. 7. Like rumsfeld saying on 9/10/01 that 2.3 trillion in defence funds couldnt be tracked.; then it was never brought up again! I have great respect for Hitchens intellect but am disappointed to hear him be so dismissive.
