change the channel from 11 to 6? how? what do you mean?
Yeah I know i was a little vague 😅, on your home network wifi router. Under wifi settings you should find channel selection usually set to auto and it picks 11 as default
Router is usually on address 192.168.1.1 pw is written on bottom of your router
@ but with my GBS-C i connect directly from the phone to the GBS-C's IP address, I don't go through my home WIFI
@@filevans Oh , then you shouldn't actually have any issues , the bug only happens when it routs information from the the phone trough the router to the GBSC, hmmm this could be a bug in a early Firmware version , have you updated your GBSC with newest version of the firmware ?
i found that they have released FW 1.1 on github , there are some guides on how to update it : github.com/RetroScaler/GBSC/releases
Hello, this looks very interesting. i would be for sure interested in a replacement like this :)
Waiting for part 3 now :-) good luck!
how do i inject goldhen on fw 12.00 ?
Not possible yet unfortunately. Max firmware possible is 11.00. they will release a new one in the future you just have to wait
This was an excellent video. Unfortunately I am replacing the battery on the other side and was here trying to figure out what the heck the small clear plastic piece is for because it fell off during disassembly. So far I cannot find any video or pic that that is zoomed in on it enough nor does it seemed to be talked about.
Thanks , send me a email you kan find it in about tab in channel page and I'll take a picture of the other side for you
@RetroUpgrade thanks for the reply! I just looked and didn't see an email address. However, I think i figured out where the clear plastic piece connects so out it back together. However, I got ambitious and took the other side apart to add a little bit glue as a strain relief so my mic wire won't break. Well now the boom no longer mutes/unmutes. I was doing it from memory and forgot that I didn't need to take out all the screws so had trouble getting the boom back on correctly. Is there a view that shows where boom activates the mic switch?
@@RetroUpgradewith regard to the boom, I want to add that after moving it back and forth quickly to loosen the tightness of the glue and having the Jabra software open on the connected laptop, the headset now speaks muted and Unmuted in the right positions but it is not actually muting at all.
Ok. I hade the same issue the other day after I put 1 together. After re pairing the headset issue went away seams to be windows driver issue. Test it on your phone in Bluetooth mode
@@RetroUpgrade That is funny because today after a couple of days it started working and I had no idea why. I have tried to do updates to the Jabra but didn't find any. However I have done other updates on my computer (intel) so perhaps that did it. Thank you so much for letting me know!
This is cool, i havent deen too many freecad tutorials that start from a 3d scan.
I have no idea how you manage to spend so long waffling before connecting the device (75% of video??) and then so long before fixing the brightness. Was a waste of 35mins watching 😢
I'm assuming since this didn't get a followup video that this project was abandoned? Do you have any insights to share about it? I would be interested in doing this mod myself, but rn not willing to invest the time without knowing if it would work in the end
Nice one to key problem solve.🎉
i have the same problem stil figuring out what the problem is
Have you checked the LS7400(Nand) chip, mine seams to be broken input 1 and 2 are not working, i just got my order and going to record the result now :) Good luck and thanks for the view
@@RetroUpgrade no i did not i hope its a real ic because there are many fakes chips out there
Yup that’s why mines won’t work anymore
For it says: Error sending packet: send error: a device attached to the system is not functioning (31) HELP
This is most likly to be a Npcap issues try to reinstall Npcap with admin active (right click exe file and run as admin ) mine failed to install a package when running normal mode (i am admin), this was fixed running it in admin , can also be a python issue missing packages , try running cmd and type Python pip install update
@@RetroUpgrade I actually tried that at least 3 times. Still error.
@@OogLavaStudio Let me check around and see if i can replicate the issue and try to figure out wats wrong
@@OogLavaStudio , Hi mate, i managed to get the same error after some tests , and i fixed it as well on my end, so it seams to be related to the python version , mine failed when i hade the new 3.13 installed and worked when i installed 3,12,7 try uninstalling python and reinstalling 3,12 and running the scrapy installer in pppwnGO its under NPcap+python click on the button it opens a folder and after that you have a .bat file at the bottom called scrapy install that and you should be up and running , hope this helps :)
@@RetroUpgrade Thanks for your time and effort! I was able to fix this by using PPPwngGo 2.8 the only version I was able to get working. Sometimes shows same error but after 2-3 tries it just does it as intended. I know this isn't the most optimal way but at least something. I'm happy it works at least. Thanks again!
Thank you.
Happy it helped :)
I hate having to work with that type of wire, I can never get it to solder correctly at all. And the small PCB works really well to remove the wear point. Awesome work!
if you are having issues getting solder to stick to it use a flux, and if it still fails use some sandpaper on the point you are trying to solder so you rub of the enamel, i use 500grit
Heya, nice repair great idee of that pcb to solder the wires to
yeah the pcb adds some strain relief and will prevent future problems hopefully :P
Gracias por las tutores, tengo una consola de esa y no funciona espero aprender a repararla contigo. Grasias!.
Nice work, I've had a similar issue many times with bluetooth earpieces 👍.
thank you :)
Nice fix! yeah i've had a pair of Jabra Evolve 75 couldn't getting them apart without watching a video here on TH-cam on how to do it lol
Thank you for the view Karthor appreciate the support, Its nice to have a reference online for these things, wish i knew what slider switch they used so i could fix all of them :P, think i found a suitable one on LCSC so going to order a few and try
@@RetroUpgrade Nice hopefully that one works, yeah its hard to find correct switches there's so many different styles of them, i did another search and found something called "MSKT-12B07" it has the same pin count but no clue if it's wired correct or similar dimension
@@Karthor. Thanks ill take a look and see if i can figure it out :)
Good luck ! see you soon.
Hopefully it will work with a replacement 2764 :D
So composite to vga to gbs-c is shit? Is there any other way to use composite on the gbs-c?
Hi ,I am in contact with a company that has a V2 of the gbsc and will support it out of the box. Still just a prototype I am getting a review sample
The butcher they call him good God
😅Yeah agreed not my best soldering XD , it gets better in newer videos , but the good news is it still works and so does the mini snes &nes & c64 and so on
just did it man it worked !
awesome to hear it worked for you
Vives en Canarias, entonces eres español. ¿Donde aprendiste a hablar en inglés?

@@RetroUpgrade Ahh, eso lo explica todo. Saludos.
Olá para as Canárias! Would it be possible to make a video on how to create a keyboard PCB for a membrane keyboard?
Sounds like a good idea going to make v2 of this keyboard i can show the design steps in a video
@@RetroUpgrade Fiche!
Don´t buy those "MINI". They all have a different pcb, but all a short life span. Use some in metal casing.
Oi. Projecto absolutamente fantástico! Existe algum github?
No tengo ninguna cuenta GitHub pero ya me hago una y pongo el link estoy un poco liado qué me va tardar un poco. Tengo una placa v2.0 ya 😁 video ya vienen
@@RetroUpgrade Fiche! Looking forward for the v2.0 video!
Hi, I don't know if you know, but according to my PS4 model, it's the CUH-1215A. Do you know if it's compatible? Because every time on stage 2, it gives me an error and after two tries, my console restarts. Could it be that my model is not compatible? Would you be able to answer this? Thank you very much, regards!
Did not work for me. Uding the Python method. Getting - ModuleNotFoundError: No module names ' scapy '. Press any key to continue. When using the PPPwn C + + (Stable Defalt) ps4 crashes. Back to the drawing board
You are missing A module. You need to manually install scrappy wit a pip install command. I'll try to find the command for you.
18:45 hi i have a question? what did you do to make the connection work again? it doesn't get with my home network, did you wait? or did something else ? thanks
Wow 🤩 cool 😎 👩🏼🦱video
Good video mate do you know how to make a ps2 s-video cable?
Have not done one in very long time early 2000 was last time , there should be a DIY web page somewhere but cant seam to find it . ill let you know if i can find it and post the link here .
did not work
Check the cable or the ethernet adaptor. Both can be to low speed. If ethernet plug has 8 wires you are good ethernet adapter is harder you need to check windows settings to see what speed it's running at. Where does it fail (memory corruption?)
Hi it’s late but I’ve had this since a child and I was wondering if you knew what Wire Charger it takes? I don’t want to ruin it but I really want to know if I can use it for my future child? If anyone knows 😅
Hi, just checked it for you , it supports any barrel jack charger that outputs 9-12V 1Amp DC the jack is 1,7mmX4mm, so pretty much any old wall wart should work . you can also get them from AliExpress for 5€, if you have a old Sony PSP charger its the same size
Is there firmware update?
I couldn't find any firmwares for this so i sent a email to the manufacturer and they replay that they will uploaded in the nere future to the hanmatek site , i am going to rip the firmware from min as well as show the internal. There are apparently different versions of same device , other viewer is sending me pictures of the internals of his version to compare , video coming soon waiting for a part to "upgrade" the scope . cheers mate
I have done the jailbreak with Linux. How can I usa this tools??
Hi , i don't know if this specific one works on Linux give me some time and I'll find out for you
Or you just can order one 48K-KDLX for 19.90 EUR from Ginger Electronic and problem solved !
Hi, did not know that existed its pretty close to my designe even went with same buttons i ultimately choose , my designe is mente to be open source when done, and i am aiming for a 10€ price tag for DIYers . but really good to know thanks mate :)
@@RetroUpgrade You're welcome mate! I do searches before building something to see if there is anything like that already made, it saves time. What it is not yet done for the Spectrum are: a Cherry MX mechanical keyboard PCB for the Spectrum+ case (the key caps fits perfectly in the Cherry MX switch stem) and Spectrum +2/+3 that fits properly the Spectrum case, a ribbon cable flexible extension of the edge expansion port to avoid wiggling extensions connected to the Speccy (specially when they have buttons that you need to push them frequently) and a proper backplane with buffers and signal terminators so you can connect multiple extensions in the same time at your Speccy. Nadooms have made a prototype of SPECHERRY+ but it doesn't fit correctly the Spectrum+ case and it needs a supplementary +5V. Ideal it will be to combine his SPECHERRY+ design with the 48P-KDLX that has the proper size and doesn't need the +5V. You can find the 48P-KDLX schematic on the net.
@@Florin76 Yeah i usually do the same, but at the time i designed this i only found 1 other project and it was a RGB keyboard and it was 40-50€, the cherry mx idea is not bad . ill give it a look and see if i can make it work :), my ZX spectrum RGB cart (back edge connector to SCART ) is my baby and i am improving it all the time , i am getting pretty crisp RGB from edge connector that's usually really noisy . i know there are ZX HDMI carts but they all have some lag , so i want to get RGB out so you can uses the scaler you can afford instead , in some cases you can get the lag under 1 frame depends on the scaler ofc. appreciate the feedback thanks mate 🍻
@@RetroUpgrade the RGB card will work only on the Spectrum 48K because the video signals are present on the edge connector. On the later models this signals were removed as those models have RGB output. I think you are cheaper and faster to replace the modulator with an S-VIDEO mod circuit and the image is crisp and clear. This is the solution that everyone with a Spectrum 48K use to output the image. On the Sintech Shop in Germany you can find a ZX-JOY-VGA expansion card that has VGA output and it doesn't use a Raspberry Pi for the signal transcoding, so no lag :)
@Florin76 yeah svideo mode was first thing I did 😂. The RGB card I made works really well. Should be pretty similar to the vga card but mine is done with pure analog circuits
Are these things even worth if say i want to capture footage from an old school DDR cabinet that switches between 480i and 240p?
It's actually really good at handling switching content as long as input is under 720p.
Just a note. This is the same as the OWON SDS1104. Downloading its manual is much more elaborate.
Yeah i noticed that when i was doing some research on the availability of firmware for scope , but actually didn't think to use the manual , thanks mate , ill post the link in the video to the manual very useful
Pinned - link in description
Mine didn't include a power wart/block, so i tried a 2A cellphone power wart/block. The signals were spiked, so i now use a atx's 5v tap and the signal is nice and clear.
If only we could get schematics and manuals like that for the repairs of today. Nice vintage repair video!
100% agree , world would be much mor sustainable if manufacturers where obligated to share schematics for out of production items so repair and renew old hardware, and thankyou for the view really appreciate it :) stay tuned for part 2 where i know if the AliExpress chips are fake or real :P
Any chance u posted this on the console repair subreddit lol?
I actually don't use reddit at all fell free to create a post if you like and link to it :) would appreciate speeding this as far as possible :D i am almost monetized on TH-cam finally . should really start using reddit i guess 😅
Nice Vectrex tech video.
Thank you
I sadly get this; python: can't open file
7:20 I have the same problem. My japanese N64 doesn't sync on composite (but at the beginning yes, I dont know why not now...) and I modded the cable to sync on luma.
bro it says done on thep pc but does a conection failure in the ps4
The Dreamcast i have does basically the same thing except that the fan seems to be working fine. Also if i test with the cover off and hold the lid lever down in the back the CD will spin, but if i release it will of course eventually stop spinning. If i press the lid lever again the CD will not spin anymore. My video and audio usually cut off at the main menu with the 4 options displayed or sometimes just a little before. I will gently bend pins upward as it's a U model and clean them. I'm not very hopeful though. Thank you very much for the video.
Hi, yeah this issue is usually related to ether the Dreamcast overheating (witch i doubt) or that its not detecting the fan . only thing i can think of its is that the internal resistor that's used by the Dreamcast to detect the fan is damaged and gives wrong value , try measuring it and see what value you get , check the video for the value it should be cant really remember right now :P, if the value is off by 10% then try soldering a replacement across the legs on the PCB or remove the original one on the fan and add a new one , would just recommend to solder one between the legs on PCB like i do in the video . you could check the thermal pads on the Dreamcast if that doesn't work highly doubt they have dried out that much but can happen thanks for the view and kind words appreciate the view
Thank you very much for all the information. I did go ahead and remove the power supply, clean the pins, and since I have an NTSC model I gently bent the pins upwards. As soon as I turned it on the first time the logo was there instantly, no start up sounds, etc. It actually looked like it was fixed because it stayed on long enough this time for me to go to the menu before cutting out. The next two time I restarted it seemed to stay on even longer. Should I bend the pins even more, or is it possibly a failing power supply? Thanks again.
@@RD-ck7xj if that "fixed" it more it could be that one of the rails is struggling to keep supply up or maybe to much resistance on the pins , try scratching the pins up with some light sanding and for the connector use some contact cleaner spray and gentle scraping while wet, evapo-rust , WD40- contact cleaner or any other evaporating contact cleaner will do that has a rust inhibitor . if you have a multimeter please check the rail voltages while the machine is on 3.3v 5v , 12v should be pretty stable even under load if one falls after boot it can indicate that one of the components on the PSU is falling. there is a alternative PSU designe sold on Aliexpress: www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005658627931.html DreamPsu replacment PSU board hope you get it up and running :)
What do you think of the DreamPSU's?
@@RD-ck7xj Its a nice bit of kit , decent price and does exactly what it needs to and introduces less electrical noise (uses nice new components and good filtering) only thing i wish they did was use a USBC PD instead of the 12V Barrel jack . but otherwise a good solution
Perhaps there is an option to keep the menu on screen which may then retain your setting when pressing run stop?
Thanks will check it out later today . Need to fix my vertex that broke on me 😭
Just ordered this scope. I'm exited to test it out 😊. Huge upgrade from my DSO150, which has served me well though, but for audio design, i need 2channels, better sensitivity as well as FFT. For months I've been searching, comparing prices and specs and finally came across a great deal. I also like the usb power method.
Happy for you its a really good scope of you ignorer the quirks of the scope menúes. I am working on making this one portable installing a USBC power bank inside. There is loads of space
Scope arrived in one piece and working very well. First time i switch it on, it came up in English, but the next morning it came on in chinese😂 Luckily I quickly found the English setting again by pressing the Utility buttton. There is an option to save the configuration internally, which i did. Now English is default and my last screen display appears when boot up. Cool.
@@bobisyouruncle1 Very happy for you man :) , enjoy it its a really nice scope , been using it on my vectrex in my last video , also being digging around the setting and played with the math functions (future video) trying to identify noise in a video signal so i can reduce it . and yeah mine was in Chinese when i got it so hade to swap first time too :P
Great video, this is very helpful and useful for me. I am looking for an automotive scope for a while now.
