Believe me, diesel does BURN. The ignition temperture is just higher then gasoline. Gasoline gives more gasoline vapors at room temperture against diesel. So don't ignite diesel! It has a higher energy lvl then gasoline. Wich translate in a bigger BOOM. Stay safe guys🤘😎
It's not flammable...at that heat and pressure.
You can light gasoline in a cup and it will sit and burn. Its the vapor that is dangerous.
if cat never made a v8 I must have hallucinated those 3408s we had on my last fishing boat
Petrol vapour is what ignites. The fluid does not burn but has a volatility risk once the vapours start to burn.
it depends on how big the fire is, and hot hot it gets...
Chucking a 5 gallon bucket of diesel into a big fire won’t put it out😂
You can use gasoline to put out a flame as well. Just watch out for those fumes
Bro was cooked in a perarel universe
What a dummy ... Diesel is very flammable, however it has a much higher flash point than gasoline... Meaning gasoline will go POOF on your ass, diesel ain't getting in no rush to ignite...
You can put out a flame in a bucket of gasoline too, it's when it's a thin puddle or a vapor that it's super flammable.
Mythbusters did the same thing with gasoline and it extinguished the flame.
Heat it up or pressurize it and then it's a different ballgame
Stupid design really, vanes gum up and still get turbo lag . Think twin turbo is better by using a small turbo for spooling up faster.
this is why my dad's car didn't explode one time! it was diesel instead of petrol, otherwise we'd all be quite toasty (my whole family was in the car, just got in at the airport to head home on christmas eve... we didn't make it far....)
That’s why only diesel powered vehicles are allowed on mine sites for example.
some people are saying petrol/gasoline would be the same, but this is false. diesel has much heavier hydrocarbons and is less volatile so it doesnt produce fumes like petrol does (and doesn't smell). a match to gasoline and the fumes ignite, but if you set a match to diesel (or cooking oil or beeswax), it will not light until the fuel is hot enough to be producing flamable vapors.
And this is why diesel vehicles need to warm up!!!
going to try today
Boil it and tell me it. Not flamabel
I’ve burned plenty of things with diesel before
You can use sr71 fuel to put out a fire
Best BIC color
This is why desiel engines use highe pressures to compress the gas so it combusts wothout fire
I think that they learn about lower flammable limit, lower explosive limit, flashpoint and self ignition temperature like in early high school? Basically It’s all about vapour-air ratio and temperature applied as source of ignition and it is different for every gas. There are even small differences for each material produced by different manufacturers that’s why they provide MSDS for their products.
I do this alot since my flywheel is not that great my icm is failing and my starter doesn't work right sometimes. And it's stalls when driving sometimes so I need to pop the clutch when rolling at like 40.
How do we know it’s really diesel ? Drink test please
But whn you pour diesel into something burning, this won't be the scene😅😂
I remember at a job I used to work at we had big diesel trucks and one day a coworker and I went to go fill one up at a gas station and bro didn’t turn the car off while fuelling and I was so confused why we didnt blow up or something, now I know !
Btw. You can put a match out in gasoling. FILL an old butter bowl with gasoline. Get back. Do it in a safe area or its your problem. Throw a match in from 5 feet or so. It usually just goes out. Now if you put a quarter inch of gasoline in that big bowl and wait a minute you will get instant woof!
I am an old retired Diesel Mechanic, who ever said otherwise, one of the best Diesel engines in the world!!!😊
When i bought my house in the great north it had a fuel oil huge furnace and electric baseboards. Fuel oil can be kerosene or diesel fuel. I probably couldve fed it restaurant oil all winter like I did my VW rabbit. But the best fuel was a special red diesel fuel. That burned the best 😇
NO TALKING on the phone when fuelling! I asked why..? He said “if you drop your phone and a spark comes out, it’ll blow the petrol station” 😮😮😮
Same reason why people sometimes have trouble starting their diesel vehicles in winter, right? It needs to get up to the proper temperature and the cold makes it harder
This is exactly like the guys that say nuclear reactors are actually safe and nuclear meltdown will never happen, until it happens
As a child i found a lighter and found a gas can, lucky for me the gas can had diesel.
Putting out the fire was the craziest bit
Just to be clear, the differences between a turboed disel and a normally aspirated disel is not just the lack of a turbo, compression ratios, injection timming, injection duration, injection amount, cam profiles, inlet and outlet manifolds are typically all different.
I've always been told "diesel burns, gasoline explodes"
Just a chill petroleum 🗿
Gasoline isn’t flammable the fume is
Gasoline vapors are flammable. You can put a lighter to a bucket of gas and it will do nothing. If that was gasoline this video will probably be the same if that space is well ventilated
If I can compare it, Like a friend who smokes with you but never allows drugs
Who doesnt know this? Ohhh people who think flicking your cig in gasoline will ignite it.
Bro this is a setup I want to try it
Gasoline is combustable, not flammable
Diesel sets itself in flames when compressed
There's always exceptions to the rule. RB blocks (motor cars) don't have enough meat. Yes, you can sleeve them, but they'll break between bores due to how weak they are, so money wasted.
Not enough heat
