I was just watching coverage of the Tokyo auto salon and Mesh wheels are making a comeback...I saw dozens of cars with Mesh wheels...
And here I am now trying to find a set of those for my town car...so far I have ONE out of 4, and the prices jumped a lot
For throwing that Automatic Control Module where it belongs, you gained a subscriber.. 🤣🤣
ahh yes, the shitbox of theseus, my favorite kind of car
This is so good bro
been watching your videos for a bit now, its great to see this car looking great again.
how does one even get into this........
great vid. from calgary
Hell Ya!!
This video better pop the fuck off. This is some high quality shit up in here!
if you are using paint stripper with bare hands, that means it is not strong enough at all.
I'm about to start the body work in my vert!
nicely done. total respect for the black pillars
Loved it. Awesome job.
Oh yeah. 2 feet by 6 feet....plus the width of the sides. I've been there, brother. Don't beat yourself up. Great video.
Are you planning on using specifically this car next year or are you thinking about switching it up?
I'm fairly confident I'll run this same car next season with little modification.
The up to speed bit caught me off guard lol. I’m surprised your videos don’t have more views so imma just say that I was here before you blew up
This was fun to watch! You improve really well in your skills and mindset. Reminds me of my first full season (2022) of autocross. It's all about your own improvement, especially your times relative to the top guys, not your position. Btw, does you class allow mods? Swaybars and coilovers will give massive improvements, since you have already done the most important ones, tyres and your own skills. Good luck!
The class does allow fairly simple mods like those. The car wasn't bone stock when I bought it though, it has upgraded sway bars and bushings, along with some yellow Bilstiens and Eibach springs.
i really enjoyed this. you have a good attitude when it comes to improvement and competition with others, which is always refreshing to see vs. people who get so aggro about everything. thanks for sharing.
Found this channel from the wheel restoration video. This series makes everything look so doable to someone who doesn't know dick. Keep at it
Im only subscribing because i like this guys attitude
You gave this much thought..awesome work. I thought I would read some ingenious feed back folks would speak to ways to make this even better.. not much of that. Your not only did a good job on the built, you filmed and put presented it perfect. Maybe put a loop at anker point of rope instead of temporary tie off. Cargo clip it to a fixed object. I was thinking I'd store my Harley under it, and my wife would say looks like you got mad and thrown your hard top on you bike there mister smart man. Lol I'm sure you tie knots better then I do.
I did something similar with aproxinately $100 total from amazon. I hung an electric hoist and attached the 2 straps ends in a crisscross pattern to the hoist's hook. By attaching the two strap ends in a crisscross pattern to the hoist's hook, you're distributing the weight more evenly and securing the load effectively. This setup helps prevent the load from slipping and can improve stability during lifting. * VEVOR 3in1 Electric Hoist Winch Crane, 1100lbs Material Handling Tool, Wired and Wireless Remote Control, Overload Protection for Garage = $90 * XSTRAP STANDARD 2PK 1''x 8FT Lift Sling Web Strap/Wear Guard End, Heavy Duty Flat Eye Lifting Sling = $12 If you want to go even cheaper, get a manual one for about $37 just a thought....
Nice job!
“Remember sanding? I do, I spent a thousand years doing in it one weekend” lol my favorite line. I’m actually doing same thing to a set of wheels on my 06 Mercury grand Marquis and same thing as you. Wire brushed the whole wheel…I’m subbing. The wheels turned out awesome!
This is like deja vu... the nut on the top of my antenna was rusted in there so badly, I ended up hacking it apart just to get it out and mangled the opening on mine roughly the same way... I'm still debating if I'm going to keep or delete mine... I feel like it kinda adds to the charm of the car along with the pop-ups, but it could take awhile to source another one that isn't a complete wreck, so I dunno. I still have a destroyed hatch to fix from the OEM spoiler, so I guess I'll cross that bridge later. Also, blow through while welding on these cars sucks. The struggle is real.
nothin says a homemade paint job like good ole orange peel 💀 solid job bro
Looks great!!
Very well done... Great job👏👏👏👍👍
“A lesser channel wouldn’t even tell you they made that mistake so you better fucking subscribe”🗣️💯🔥🔥🔥💯🗣️🗣️🫡👑 you have a new subscriber
Hi, would you mind sharing what your ceiling height is?
Fantastic!
So if you placed the eye hooks into the rafters, what's the benefit of the 2x4s you installed?
Easier to see the 2x4 to drill into.
Thanks new jeep owner here and I man handled the 4 door hard top solo today... I said never again😅
Commentary is on point 😂😂😂❤
Excellent work
Big improvement. If you do another car, hold the paint gun closer to the car. Your paint gun to panel distance was a bit too much. That will make your paint go on smoother. A good cut and buff solves the orange peel as long as you put on enough clear.
Are you Polish?
Canadian, but now I'm curious what makes you ask.
Great work.
Looks awesome!
I love the music selection bruh
Looks mint man, for a garage DIY paintjob looks perfect, cut and buff can fix any imperfections left behind. Yeah leaving the tape behind is a pain to remove when the paint cures but the razor method is perfect for fixing that
Not supposed to use sandpaper on hand, it makes it uneven. Next time use a pliable foam sander block to apply pressure evenly. Still turned out very nice. Good job.
BRO! truly a DIY'er. Thanks for showing the ups AND the downs. when channels don't show this, it makes someone who is trying it themselves and they run into a problem very frustrated because that guy on TH-cam made it look so easy.
Loving it. Subscribed all the way from South Africa.
So what you talking about spraying your car read and eating some poutine you hoser in the great white North
I love seeing the evolution of someone's build the paint came out great 👍. This for sure gives me a push to do the body work on my car this winter.
Mine was stolen in 2005 😢
Awesome job love it great video man how much will it be to paint my lexus 😊😊😊
Great vid man you did a great job and were pretty comedic😂
