FtD: Remote Control Camera Drone
My 'little' recon drone. Quite slow, but fairly stable. Has 3 cameras: a normal forward facing camera, a forward facing camera tilted down 30 degrees, and a camera mounted on a 2 axis turret that tracks whichever enemy it chooses (default AI tracking settings).

Why, oh why did I try to use the D4? I ended up with split shot, rapid fire, dunce hatted ipecac, that kept firing all the time due to the directed tears. Would have been good without the directed tears.

My flight (in a modded plane) over to KSC 2. Unfortunately the plane is not very stable when braking, but it is unbelievably stable in flight, with FAR stabilization and some trim. Most of the time I just watched TH-cam :P
KSP: Going To Orbit cinematic
มุมมอง 1589 ปีที่แล้ว
My first cinematic, feel free to give (constructive) criticism. Personally I think some of the shots looked like they were there because they looked cool, and didn't really fit. Some of the transitions didn't seem quite right either. Music is a shortened version of Kevin Macleod- Music for Manatees
KSP: A working Space Shuttle

With a launch cost of around 78,000 (including complimentary useless battery satellite) and an easily recoverable shuttle, this design is perfect for launching things like science satellites and small ion probes into LKO. Only the space plane is returned, the LFO boosters and the satellite stay in orbit. Contains a small amount of on-board LFO for orbital maneuvers. I THINK it is technically an...
KSP: Drunk kerbal?

I think it's a known bug. They go ragdoll but have full control still. I managed to achieve it by dropping him out of a falling command pod from around 10,000m. He proceeded to hit the floor, live, and act rather dazed. Sorry if the video freezes or looks a bit low quality in places, my computer isn't really up to it.

    these little samples are nice but why are they always simplistic nature or architecture? How did Dürer or Doré make the hyper-realistic portraits and fantasy scenes made of millions of impossibly tiny arrays of dots and lines?

    • @shanefiddle
      @shanefiddle 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, best to look directly at their work. There is a reason they are famous, and considered geniuses. Even though they are no longer alive to tell us, they left their work behind for us to study - studying the brilliant work left behind is enough to keep an artist busy for several lifetimes. Start making art every day, and every night go look at engravings, study how they make little lines and dots come alive and shine - that is what I try to do.

    • @Daniel1234ification1
      @Daniel1234ification1 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Saberhap This itself was a rather space inefficient design, and I have since managed to build more compact ones with similar firepower. Here is a tip though- do not build a long high gauge barrel entirely out of motor blocks because the recoil can be enough to teleport a ship many millions of kilometers in one shot!

    Did you try it with a fusion box? You should try that and then vs a Onyx watch heavy ship which has a lot of metal. You can then set a depth charge so that it pens the metal first with the hardened shell parts and then obliterate the inside even more with the HE parts. Will also work against when enemies use multiple layers of wood armor :D.

    • @Daniel1234ification1
      @Daniel1234ification1 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +The Rebelattack With my newer version, the projectile was slower so it has a high chance of missing. Because of this I simply use a timed fuse to blow it up near the target in the probable case of it missing. It actually misses so often I don't think a pen fuse would be worth it.

    • @pwntehnoobs
      @pwntehnoobs 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Daniel Duncombe That is too bad then I made a 1200 millimeter cannon that could pen at least 5 thick and then would explode which is devastating for almost any ship :)

  • @Enzejansen
    @Enzejansen 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Is 2000mm the new max gauge now? I'm glad they added that but i should really have is some major disadvantahes componsaring for the damage

      It*

    • @Daniel1234ification1
      @Daniel1234ification1 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Enze Jansen Yes, 2000mm. However, some things have changed since this video. The shells do a lot more HE damage, however they move much much slower, like the old custom cannons, at somewhere around 200m/s. This makes them great for artillery and such. Also, because they do more damage the longer they charge up, longer reload times can actually be good. This means the CRAM cannons will be better for big slow firing battleship guns, and the advanced cannons will be better for more rapid fire, lower damage guns.

      @Daniel1234ification1 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Nachtigall It was quite amusing when I first fired the cannon after building it... didn't expect that recoil! I have also experimented with the autoloaders a bit more so I made a more compact version of this with similar power. I just need to test the recoil effects when mounted on something like a bulwark now :)

    • @shanefiddle
      @shanefiddle 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is often done using 2 blocks and a frame or key. Here's the process more or less: th-cam.com/video/7VjLRB0H834/w-d-xo.html - it is not too complicated. You can of course ink a single block very carefully by hand in more than one color and then print, but in my experience I usually make a bit of a mess :-) The big printing presses have an inking plate for faster printing of large quantities. On those you can carefully apply multiple colors to different areas of the inking plate, which is then applied to the block between each print- it is a bit of a challenge to do well but I've seen it done.
