@@rockeye I’m not using any amp sim. Just effects. I have analog pedals and digital and they both sound great.

Thanks! I went through a bunch of strats, then sold them all to get this custom shop one and it is an amazing guitar. But the Two Rock amp is something on another level probably the real winner of the two.

I have to say that I liked the voicing of the SE Silver Sky the best. But, the Silver Sky USA and Fender both sounded amazing, also. Not a loser in the bunch.

After playing them for a while now, if I had to pick one I would go with the Fender Custom Shop. Then SS Core, Then SE. But the SE for the price comparing it to the other two is amazing

All 3 sound great. I think I prefer the core Silver Sky the most in this demo. The SE is a bit brighter and not as warm. The SE was fairly balanced though. While the Fender had more midrange honk to it. The core SS had that warm tone. Can’t go wrong with any of them though. All great guitars and tones.

I love all of them, but the strat felt like it had the juice to me :)
There's a mid push in the SSs that the Fender doesn't have. It tracks with how JMs tone has developed over the years, and it's probably fun to push a valve amp with it, but I think the Strat sound is a clear winner for me. Sweeter, more articulate or whatever it is. Just prefer it
If I had to pick one I would pick the Strat
Yes, I have had two SS in the past. They have the mid push with less lows I felt when compared to my custom shop strat. They are not a strat of course but they also do their own thing very well. When running more distortion I liked the SS. But otherwise I liked my Strat. Still have the strat!
I just recently got the SE version and its so fkn good. Let me tell you the snap and attack of this guitar is amazing the feel of the neck and the overall build quality is crazy good. Im in love.
Agree! I have a Fender MIM Strat, and an SE. Unfortunately, do not have any of the higher end core model or custom shop varieties. But, I absolutely prefer the SE over the MIM Strat. I've played both core and SE versions and I actually prefer the SE over the core model. Honestly, biggest thing I dislike about the core is the feel of the neck. If they both had the same neck, of course would prefer the core. Moon white version of the SE
Great comparison, thank you. How much did the CS Fender cost? Probably about $5k. Seems to me, the Silver Sky is a bargain.
Yeah the Wildwood 10 Custom Shop was around $4500. The Silver Sky is awesome but I still prefer the Custom shop
