p1 in og mvc1 CAN'T stun the opponent, there's no infinite protection system for p1, so this is a massive change

i welcome the change wholeheartedly tbh, because infinites up to 99 hits is basically just BM at that point especially when uncombo'ing is much more valuable in this game anyways
update: uncombo'ing is gone too fuck this collection

@@countp6830uncombo'ing in mvc1 is a glitch where if you hit the opponent on the very last frame of hitstun, basically the last frame before theyre actionable after getting hit, the combo counter resets which means the damage resets too from my testing in training mode, this is removed in this collection, BUT, ill have to check in a real match

these games seem interesting but guard break in particular seems un-interactive as shit lmao. Is there just no counterplay?
in XMvSF, 200% combos are a thing proper, as a result in that game if done correctly there is absolutely 0 counterplay otherwise you can try to press a button, eat the hit to throw off timing and in MvC2 there's this relative new tech called "Super Jump Install" on magnetro's channel that is 100% proper counterplay to guard breaks guard breaks definitely make or break the game to some people, some people (like me) love that cheap shit but its not everyone's flavor, umvc3 onwards doesnt have guardbreaks but incoming is so fucked up that its basically unblockable, illusion of free will? LMAO

Sounds like you prefer American style arcade sticks, and that's awesome. I feel it doesn't get much love anymore since a lot of people switch to the Japanese style. Growing up playing arcades in the 90's that's all we had so its hard for me to use the japanese style. I've had a mad catz and got rid of it. What I did recently was got the single version of the X arcade tank stick and swapped out the parts i wanted. The stock stuff was alright but I threw in a iL Euro in there with happ / euro concave buttons and never looked back. If its hard to find cases you can build one yourself for a few dollars if you have tools or know someone with it. Im pretty sure any hardware store would help you out drilling holes if you printed out a template.

I got a used Hori rap 3 off ebay for like $25 all stock sanwa. Ive read the pcb is laggy but Its not that easy to tell. Playing on fightcade with 2 frames of runahead should be enough to remedy that. I want to try a IL lever Ive heard they're good for super turbo
the pcb on those hori sticks have historically been laggy, the difference between my brooks pcb and my rap 4 was 100% noticeable tbh if you want something like the IL that's a good middle ground and tbh would better, look into a good korean lever instead focusattack.com/crown-cwl-309-mj-new-helpme-kms-st30-joystick/ i would recommend this one, but the ist alpha 49s is also a good lever in my exp
@@EXDSPRTS I mean when I lose I like to blame lag and on fightcade when I changed the smoothing settings it did make me better but like a lot of Qanba sticks have more lag than Brooks and top players still have success with them. 1 frame is a lot for input lag so I think an extra frame of run ahead should fix it
@@EXDSPRTS I would like to try that Crown lever too, just not sure if I should buy one just to try it out, plus Japanese parts seem to be easier to install and fit in more common sticks cases.

Raspberry Pi Pico (a $5 microcontroller) can do 1ms of input lag so I dont know wtf are these big arcade stick makers smoking not achieving that with their PCB's.
Maybe is not their pcbs but the systems they are making the fightsticks for 'cause the 1ms imput lag is more easy to achieve on pc than consoles, but not sure about that, is just what I think could be the reason

atm it is an IL eurostick, soon to be replaced with a p360
really good findings! not gonna crash Super sidekicks 3 for now, but this inspired me to again crash International super soccer by trying to red card the goalie after almost everyone else is out of the game like i did as a kid
i dont live in the US either and wanted a MAS stick. after looking into the prices they are listed for on eBay I found getting a new MAS case from scanline and supplying my own parts worked out to be much cheaper. the fact that most of the eBay listed ones looked like they were falling apart and were still asking for above something brand new with a better build quality just didnt make sense for me
