@@skycam_ee so it works without any firmware midifications? Do you think there is a way to power from wall power?

So he's just wiring 6S/25V through caddy without a need to use batteries..

I received the Lip Caddy a bit over a month ago - but things got a little busy and not used yet - hopefully over Christmas. But THANK YOU for adding the Pico Clasp and fly lead in the packaging...I did end up getting a couple of different packs on Amazon, but I couldn't be sure if any would fit - having this provided was Super nice of you. One thing though - I notice on the wiring in this Video here, you have 3 Black and 1 Red. but I notice you have 1 of the Black lines soldered to the Positive on teh XT60. was there any specific reason for not using 2 Red and 2 Black? the cable that came to me was ALL red...haha. I know I can probably just grab my Multi-meter to check the output...but it has gone missing...hopeful you might answer before I find it. Cheers

@@skycam_ee Excellent - thanks for that, just Ordered Caddy :) and put in an order for 2 sets of LiPos too from HK AU (good thing is I can use the LiPos in a large Fixed wing as well...making this the perfect agnostic adaptor to cross-pollinate my battery fleet :) ) One further question - any consideration to adding a Power switch into the Design for each battery? I do this in my Fixed wing models for ease of setup and safety, albeit they likely consume less Amps than the Inspire will at full "send it" So I guess it would need to be a Beefy switch, and perhaps we introduce more weight consideration then. I may just wire up some XT90<>Switch<>XT90 cables... Do we know how many Amps this would need to carry? (I have ordered 40C and 60C capable Lipos)

​@@lklmmedia4715 to be very honest with you, the product was probably a bit late - most pilots who had Inspire 2 for professional work jumped on new drone and interest in caddies is quite limited; so there are no plans to change design.. As to amps - we did extensive testing and if I remember correctly maximum we could pull from it (drone tied to ground, "acro" mode, full throttle) was less than 40A (that's total for 2 batteries). There might be higher "spikes" when you dive down and then have full throttle, but nevertheless it feels as consumption is rather low so 40c LiPo is more than enough (if that's "honest" 40c - we had some funny results with cheaper batteries lol) Hope that helps :)

@@michaelkalippke34 depends how full are batteries, but it's around 24v - definitely not 40+..

@@skycam_ee Sorry for my silly questin, my multimeter was damaged, another one shows 24,2 Volt, everyting is allright, my immersion RC works perfekt

I don't own Inspire, only renting so far. But if I ever do this would be a great addition. The price is pretty reasonable too.

Mmm, what do you mean? Black should be - / Negative and Red should be + / Positive - why do you think it was other way round? 😊

Ok I was expecting that red is positive, but you had three black and one red cable on your plug in the video. I was a bit confused about it. Thank you for your help :)

@@Wiewas Oh!! Actually there are 2 positive and 2 negative wires, you should definitely check with multimeter first!! I don't remember why that cable was 1+3, actually there's 2+2 wires providing 2x + and 2x - .. Be careful!

@@skycam_ee It worked fine 👍 For everyone else who's interested, if you wiring the molex pico clasp connector, you can use the original cable from DJI and eject the pins from it. These pins are the same for the pico clasp connector and will fit perfectly. No soldering or crimping tools are needed.

I think O3 supports 6S as input out-of-the-box, original Air Unit supported till 4S so you need DC-DC buck converter to lower voltage :)

Speed is actually not that much different from stock - we're limited by gimbal mechanics on X7.. So around 90-100kmh. But - we can accelerate much faster.

Well to be honest this clip was filmed on GoPro in semi-auto (or I just don't remember settings) and whole story is more about Inspire 2's improved flying capabilities; footage itself is secondary and has questionable value.. :)

@@skycam_ee Fair enough. And yeah, the hacked inspire DOES seem to fly pretty well.
