As much as I think killing Eli is handeled very good in the game, I think they could have made it so much better. Instead of ending every brainwashing scene (Other than the first one) with killing the faceless being in a room that is different than the others (Which of course later is replaced with Eli), they should have made you continue the sequence for some time. Because of what they did, it's easy to predict something will happen at the end. I'm speaking from experience, as on the "Only you" mission I've litteraly predicted something will happen in the Eli room and I didn't get "tricked" into shooting him, rather stood there for some time after which I shot him because there's no other way to progress. If instead there were more rooms after the Eli room and he wouldn't be any different than other enemies in the sequences, I would most definetly get tricked. Also you can just punch Eli and it will still trigger the cutscene in which it will show him getting shot which I find hillarious.

I’m a flitzy player who’ll do side missions before progressing the main story to the next stage.. I got played by this, I got angry, I’d done John’s section first, I hunted the family with Extreme prejudice after that until the father, at which point I calmed down enough to do side missions lol

I think Joseph and Jacob are the scariest villains in the Far Cry 5 franchise. Like, yea Vaas is frightening, but you know and he knows he won't kill you, Pagan Min obviously does not want to kill you, the sisters are kinda lame, haven't played 6, The Jackal is menacing, and Ike Sloan is tongue in cheek. Joseph Seed really feels like is getting inside your head and make you do his will.

Far Cry 5 is one of the best games ever made, and it's been in my top 3 games list since i first played it. I must have played it over 30 times, all the way theough by now and I actually plan on doing it again soon, lol. I'm so happy other people love this game as much as I do <3

Funnily enough, I always stopped at the very end of the trials Everytime because I had a feeling that something was gonna be off. Turns out I was right when I stood there for nearly 30 seconds having a crisis on whether or not I should pull the trigger.

for me the only scary part of the game is hearing kelvin cut down trees in the middle of the night and hoping to god he didn't cut it in the direction of a base your building.

This reminded me of my irrational childhood fear of the races with npcs in super Mario 64. They really unnerved me, some character running around the map at high speeds that you can’t see because you are running in your own direction.. but you two will meet at the same end point. or unexpectedly sooner. Unless you decide to hide. But who is to say the running character won’t find you.

Just a shit game with a trash story and garbage characters.

I remember doing a dream when i was 8, i was in my grandma’s house. my parents and grandparents were walking and talking as usual, but they were extremely fast, like 3 times faster, and then they open the door, they get in the car, and they drive away( all of this at crazy speed so i felt impotent) and then silence. Suddenly i hear footsteps and screams, getting louder, but nothing comes, i wait for what feels like hours and then all black. The dreams ends . Ps:I honesly think it would slap as a horror game if someone could make a game like this it would be amazing

I had a nightmare one day where there was massive nuclear war and somehow hitler was still alive. I was with some survivor group and we launched a bunch of nukes right on top of his bunker. Then suddenly there was a massive text in my field of view that said "Hitler is headed in YOUR DIRECTION" and i legit panicked and woke myself up. Then i burst out laughing at the absurdity.

Didn’t mention the ending where you drive away at the final confrontation. What Jacob did to you is something you can never escape (although my head canon is that Pratt immediately turns the radio off after the cut to black).

I gotta replay this game, my only memories are how sad I was after going through the Faith section.

The Forest (The first game) Actually has some pretty cool NPC features, The Starving Cannibals and the regular ones (the ones that are normal but dont wear clothes) Attack on sight, but the ones with weapons, clothes, and some religious symbols, avoid anything that may pose a threat, in other words, you, because the missionaries that got sent there to set colonies up (lore) likely saw the survival show that Eric Leblanc was in, they then got turned into the cannibals (also lore) and avoided you because they know who you are and what you can do, But thats just a theory But obviously, Sons of the Forest is going to be way more polished than the first game
