On Sunday the 15th of December 2024 I went to the Futures Church Carols 2024. Futures Church has locations all across Australia, USA and Indonesia. It was founded in Adelaide in 1922. I went with my sister Pauline, my Niece Helena, my eldest G-Nie (Grand Niece Bendu), G-Nie Audrina and my maternal cousin Delia. Cousin Delia, bought me tickets to go to the Futures Carols (this is the second year in a row … is she trying to tell me something??? Mmmm). I went … It was pleasurable, I loved it (even though I’m a Mathematician). Nothing beats Human Beings coming together to share joy. I saw people from all cultures, all age ranges, and all forms of abilities … and NO ONE was judgemental. Pastor John greeted EVERYBODY at the entry (and there must have been many hundreds who attended). It was extremely hot outside (after a hot night) but inside the entry hall and theatre, it was refreshingly cool. They had international food carts outside, with a modern cafeteria inside. There were venders providing services for food, drinks and children services, such as face painting and photo shoot with Father Christmas. Once you enter the theatre itself, it was of a Festival Theatre standard with immaculate, comfortable, and spacious seating, a huge stage platform, and an array of Lighting and Media Personal (never seen so many camera-personnel at an event … it was being broadcasted around Australia … and the World??), a proper orchestra, singers, dancers, and the costumes/stage settings were spectacular. All personnel were volunteers using their own specialise tools, providing their services, giving out Christmas products, providing personal time, and providing assistance for all those in need. They had Audience participation in several of the Christmas Carols. I was absolutely stoked!
