The crystal anime led to me checking out the manga when it first came out, so I think that's already a win for the series. I also liked the 3d animations, but can't say I was sad to see them go in season 3 onward. I think its prettier in 2d overall, though I don't dislike 1 or 2 for having 3d. I think Crystal had alot going against it, but still does a good job of telling the story. My one major "WHY?" was Sailor Moon couldn't revive the other guardians boyfriends in the process of everything else at the end. Felt silly to keep them around only to throw them away in the end.

When it comes to english voice actors, i can ONLY, ONLY watch the sailor moon dub, bc hinata? Orihime? Sakura? Misiki? Stardust cookie? naruto? Rukia? BORUTO??? ICHIGO? BORUTO? , I just noticed that bc you said it, its just like No NO NO, i cant hear the sailor moon characters being anyone else I watched the sailor moon dub 500 times ONCE and its ruined all dubs for me😂

The original anime works because it's formulaic with a few story beads sprinkled in here and there, making it not a faithful adaptation, but the perfect comfort show, even though there are some changes the anime made that were terrible choices, like aging up Mamoru. Crystal works as a faithful adaptation of the source material, but feels a little rushed, since there are no fillers making it very story dense and there are a few choices that were in the manga that do not hold up in anime, either because of the different medium or because the anime came out 20 years later.

Why are all enemie`s one shooted in the manga?

"A little girl pops up from some portal & claims she's Usagi. Usagi says she's Usagi so then the little girl pulls a gun on her & tells her to "prove it". The End😊". I've only seen the 1st season of the remake & the 1st ep of the OG so far. I'll admit I didn't enjoy it all that much it jus didn't click wit me almost at all(the remake, need more time on the og) but I've committed to goin through a lot of it(simply as far as I'm able) & these could help motivate me. Also I thank Atsuko Tanaka for bein the voice of many characters I grew up wit & love so much💜

Can't help but think that the fact that Lily is the one who made it out of Mt. Ka'ala and not Anemone was already one of the signs that this is gonna be a totally different route/ending from what we've had in the game.

I've always been a stickler for accuracy, and the Crystal anime really does look nice, but the 90s anime just has too much nostalgia value! Never ask me anything, I am eternally blinded by bias 😂

This was amazing love seeing the comparison’s to Crystal Season 1 episode’s to the manga I also think the early animation’s were not that bad not the best but they were pretty good but the CGI Transformation’s they were alright I can’t wait when you cover Season 2 and 3 specially season 3 it’s one of my favorites I look forward :D👍

There is something I have omitted, the introduction of the chapter as telling a fairy tale with the famous long time ago is that Yokotaro initially wanted the game Nier Replicant to have fairy tale characters or their names and it would not even be connected to the Drakengar saga

Personal nitpick of mine. They should've left Popola's death as her circuits being fried due to force hacking (like the game) rather than logic virus. It's too repetitive and I don't know why they changed it.

There is something you forgot as well. The anime showed us the what if scenario if 9S let his self conscious data "lose control" and it did in fact temporarily open the door. However, what is new this time around is that develop is the one to use her body to keep the door open instead of actually opening it from a failed hacking.

This episode is crazy but sad at the end.

I thought it had been confirmed the reason as to why 9S models were still produced were because he was simply too good to use for data in the war against the machines? Maybe I’m remembering something wrong

For the record, This new 9S is called "Another 9S" officially by the anime producers. Also, this 9S is a part of 9S's memory which is what I said many times. 9S has some memories of all othet past 9S.

What I hate is how they made the stars arc just two movies, it was the darkest and best arc of the manga and we all know the manga company rushed Naoko in creating the manga. What the arc deserved was the Ufotable treatment where the studio animated a more in depth and expanded version that gave time and care to the story, characters and world building. The arc could’ve been so much better if it wasn’t for the pacing issues of the movies! And pacing is an issue in the Crystal anime in general!!

If you inputted a certain sequence of numbers, it would immediately bring you to the end of the game. I just thought it was interesting for the “old 9S” to be In that shot with the themes of truth and the end being so prominent at this point

I love that the filler episodes in the original Anime gave the characters a lot of personality. But honestly, I love Crystal because it is concise and it stayed faithful to the manga.

This episode hurts my heart very much because of the twins hardships they've been through but they'd died for saving 9S. Now you've mentioned about Group B, is so mysterious to me because I've never about this group and it was never mentioned in other TH-camrs as well. I wish I could make a comic that a Rebellious Type Accord violates the rules of their Association Group. After Ending D of Drakengard 3, she finally found Zero and the Intoners in the Abyss of Darkness. Then she transported them to, known as "The Other Earth", because the Rebellious Type Accord had been secretly observed and recorded a place called The Archipelago. After their transportation, Accord didn't notice that N2 was also following her. Then the Intoners will meet the Outcasts and the Non-Human Society (N.H.S) teaching them how to live and they'll also help them to remove the flower inside of them. But N2 had also plan of her own, to bring the villains of Drakengard and NieR to Other Earth. So the cycle of chaos, sorrow and pain repeats itself.

8:09 i still think it was "...all thanked us anyway" or something like that. i don't want to see devola have to kill her own recently infected sister if she can't be cured. it can't get any worse than that for her and for us as viewers but at the same time it would be emotionally impactful to say the least. i don't think she could go on living without her sister. on the other hand it was nice seeing their backstory before the game's events. reading about that was one moment from the game I quite liked

Another interesting point to note is that The Pod points out "there was a loss of 9S consciousness data within memory sectors" it works into a theory I've had for some time about 9S, and the connection between memories and consciousness in NieR Automata. At least for YoRHa androids. There's a 10H story in NieR Reincarnation that ties into this as well. Where something similar happens to her. Though the communication is more implicit than a full back and forth. In both Cases, when 10H and 9S encounter memories that were removed from them, they appeared as other versions of themselves. They were able to interface, communicate (though in 10H's case her memory didn't talk back, but it didn't have to as 10H was able to glean what it was thinking and feeling without that. It did however fight her.) The "previous" 9S can't move forward in part because he's just memories, a fragment of 9S's own consciousness that was separated from him long ago, now reunited, and then seemingly deleted. My theory is that there's only one, and there has only ever been, one 9S. With multiple bodies, fractured memories, and consciousness that was split apart. With some of it seemingly lost only to be recovered again (then seemingly lost once more). After he was able to recover some memories by hacking into Emil all the way back in episode 5. if he wasn't even the same person I don't see how that would be possible. It's a similar principle to when he survived ending A and B, he split his consciousness apart and then pulled it back together. I have a feeling that something similar happens when they upload their data to the bunker, a piece of themselves goes with it and they can survive through that, but something is potentially lost along the way if they die. Not just the experiences that shape who they are, but a piece of their consciousness as well. "We'll be with you" his memory said. Implying that it might not have been fully deleted. After all at the end of "farewell" the Pods thought ALL of 9S's data was gone for good there as well. Also the Backdoor was meant to open up when YoRHa forces broke the stalemate, the Terminals broke into the Bunker's systems exactly 1 month before the events of the game started according to the timeline on the wiki (I vaguely remember reading a story about that intrusion and the Red Girls expressing relief they weren't caught), I don't think they had full access until Route C.

As someone who watched the 6 hour long ass unabridged lore for NieR they also mention that the original 9 also found about their black boxes made from a machine core which what both have in common were disgusted but 9 took so far to the point where he was the maker of their own demise Project Yorha

Wooooooooow what an Episode!!! Im simly speachless until now. But i will try to say somethings: When Grimoire Rubrum appear with this Drakengard and Replicant flashback... I started to freakout VERY HARD. I started to trembeling and shaking almost like a seizure. So good to see emil, kaine, and NieR, even in silhuettes ❤ It was very orgastic. Wishing for and Replicant anime 🥹 I think the twins sin was an tabu. I think that was never said directly, Making to the player to interpret it. Even in other people videos sayin about devola and popola sin... i was never see someone sayin somethin so direct in all letters like now: "the human extinction was because popola and devola fault". (Many people earlier said that popolas's sin is because project gestalt was as faliure, and the project was blablabla and etcetc...) Im very surprised to the show said it in the face so directly. Ans soooooo beautiful is the love about the twins to each other. Devola and Popola holding hands when they arrive at resistance camp made me cry. It was very silly and something simple, but i cried somehow. 9s is an high ending model, and i think that actual 9s, is already figured that 2b was and type E. But it was good to show. It was good to show that every version of 9s felt in love for 2b, and 2b falls in love everytime for 9s. I think that was an philosophical way to say that we have many versions of yourself.... But the soul is the same.... And all this versions of 9s are the same too. In the core. In the end, i just think that this "old 9s" inside the tower is N2 trying to mess the actual 9S, with real data of the older 9s's (You can say many lies telling only the truth) Popola is now infected! Next Episode could be sooo diferent and painful even more, when A2 arrives the tower!!!! 😭😭😭 I think that Hexadecimals is now about ending E. And the pods was suposse to work to accord orgsnization. Such an great Episode!!!! But very heartbroken. Im very broken now (Besides that, i missed the vocals in the music of the song of the ancients in the popola's fight) Ps. I was expecting that could be the "farewell epilogue", or "the end of data" epilogue in the end of the anime. But no. Now I think that the show will ending with ending E, and perhaps with Accord aparison to seal the timeline.

My heart was crushed seeing both twins journey on the desert as they looked for a different camp in hopes that they may get better treatment from the previous one, especially where they hold hands as Dev was limping while they approach Lily's camp. No matter how much pain and suffering they'll feel, they'll always endure as long as they have each other. 😢 Hurts more than I imagined them to be while reading those text-only scenes in the game.
