People have been requesting a step by step video on installing a BBSHD on the RX. In this video, I discuss the steps on what is required, but didn't remove the BBSHD. The next follow up video to this one will be a sponsored type of video on a new mid motor install. In that video, I will do a removal of the BBSHD, talk about some details when I installed it. The new video focus on the new motor ...

Super73 RX with BBSHD dual Motor and Battery Setup, Shredding Hills in SF, no pedaling, All throttle
มุมมอง 32K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This video is on Super73 RX with BBSHD Mid-Drive and with a dual motor and battery setup, no pedaling, all throttle, and shredding the hills in SF. After 26.8 Miles, 52V Battery with 70% left, 48V with 20% left. Reason for such a setup - The RX has a awesome body style, it rides great, feels good to ride on flat terrain, but it completely sucks going up hills, even in LEVEL 4, it's terrible, NO...

A wonderful night ride with the Bay Area Sur Ron Crew! It was cold and dark, with almost no light. @ Sean A (Thanks for tour) Nice dirt paths, almost no one around, until we ran into some people on laying on the side of the trail in the dark?! Very strange. And then, some cows we thought were large boulders! Please don't mind the clicking, I forgot to tighten my headlight screw. Bay Area Sur Ro...

Sur Rons with Kuberg at Metcalf Motorcycle MX Park
มุมมอง 3.7K4 ปีที่แล้ว
This is great video on how the Sur Ron fit in well with gas powered dirtbikes, we got a lot of compliments on the bikes and kept up with the majority of the dirtbike rides, and did well on most of the trails. A few trails were tough, we fell a bit, but had a blast and the Kuberg didn't have rear working brake! Facebook Crew Page: groups/1321475861531056 One thing for sure, our budd...

Hey man. Im from the bay area. Do you do any bay area rides? And can i pay you to hook my brake lights 😅
You should’ve left the brake light on the back how is an added LED strips that have a higher peak brightness and clear red glow tone so that way it’s closer to a motorcycles brake light and it’s not just a random flash that comes on also, you can make dedicated zones For each LED strip, and Daisy chain them to have each individual strip admit in unison and use the side ones because I would imagine strapping the LED lights under the seats would be nice, but you can also have an actors blinkers and it’s not even complicated. You just have to add a few more wires in the ignition bay to give them independent function from the original sons brake light and yes, I use speech to text since I’m a terrible speller in English English
It’s not detailed enough for anybody to be able to do it unless there’s an electrician please make another video on a step-by-step scenario of how to do this please❤
How is the bike riding?
Man, that looked rough & painful. The 73 would be excellent in smoother conditions than these extreme & treacherous ones. Overall good test of limits.
Where is this? Would love to ride with you guys.
There's GPS in surrons??
Hey brother do you still own this bike?
Do we need a ohv sticker for surrons?
So does the rear light still work has per normal and also act has a brake light for night riding ?
Is that is for the install video?!
Thanks for making the video. How easy was the mid drive install? And that second battery mounting also seems really clean.
Do you think that a multi-speed drivetrain can last at short periods of 5000w full blast without major consequences and hurting the drivetrain's lifespan?
5000kw?!?!? You could keep up with sound with that kind of power. I know, I know. He meant 5kw.
BAC2000 sucks ass for offroading with a CYC, it cant handle sudden drops in power usage so it cuts out on the worst uphills if the wheel spins at all, either cheap Components or buggy software, also got stranded once In the middle of nowhere due to bricked software, my Nucular 24F arrives In two weeks or so so i can finally get rid of the pos ASI, the up to "16KW" capable BAC2000 cant handle 4kw with a CYC...works great for road but cant really handle offroad, Nucular 24F is way over kill for a CYC but i dont want to wait another +6months for my 12F to arrive.
I bet if you had beefier tires it would have been better
no its the poor suspension, geometry etc...
Dam time to call my electrician friend
Hi man nice job awesome, wondering if you did by yourself where did you got this accessory and just got my Rx Mojave but unfortunately after few rides my knee is on paint ( meniscus tears) so I cannot pedal to much so looking to upgrade my setup , thanks again nice bike
Ma 1 commento in italiano.
Ma 1 video in italiano vi fa schifo !!!!!
what bike is the guy infront riding? 5:22
👍 Pukka..... I have a different problem. My lights are on and brake light is dim, when I pull lever brake light goes out .....🤷🏻
I really want to do this set up on the Aspadz Cavet, but I know nothing about building or modifying e bikes lol
Why did it shut off. Looks like it kinda keeps up
the BAC2000 cant take sudden load drops with a CYC so it shuts off if the wheel slips under load...
Does the super 73 battery work with the cyc motor
Show more about the installation of the CYC. Also do you still have a rear Hub motor activated? How do the work together MID + HUB together?
For real, how is that the extent of the install video?!
Where were you, how many miles, what was the battery voltage before and after the trip.. Nice road trip
Awesome Video!! Subscribed, really hoping to see more!
I like the hum of the electric motor tbh
when you said the mid drive motor can have your pants get stuck because it spins do you mean the bike chain connected to the pedals or the chain of the actual mid drive
and where did u get all the work done id love to support a local shop and do my rx
Do you have instagram
Never posted another video 😢
Is it single sprocket? What is the top speed?
Cool bike. These style of bikes with banana seats aren't condusive to pedaling which is fine of course...more electric mopeds than ebike. But for me, since pedaling is really optional....or having pedals allows you to ride it on bike trails etc....I would want a much wider seat. You may or may not have owned motorcycles and even other bicycles. Saddle width is huge and the more upright you ride, the wider the saddle you need because of pelvis rami geometry. Thanks for sharing your talented solution with us. I own a BBBSHD ebike but on more of traditional bike frame because I like to pedal too. Mine will do about 40 mph with stock controller and 52V battery...which is plenty fast enough...I used to race motorcycles...because my bike has skinny tires and no suspension. Need suspension like you have above 40mph. All and all, I personally prefer one motor and one battery. More speed? Big motor and Big battery. I don't like the complication of both. Only my opinion and thanks for sharing your build with us.
Horrible video. What’s the purpose in showing what you modded on your Super73….if you ain’t gon show HOW you did it? /Bklyn👑
The Sur-Ron Knights
Good job
Great video, could you tell me approximately how much you had to spend for this upgrade?
fucking why that guys break the rule??
Swap the hub to the front wheel for 2WD, wire so that PAS is mid drive only, throttle control both. Ideal setup. Get gears for the rear wheel for you (and the motor) to take advantage of. Set PAS high so that pedalling is effortless, throttle for that little exrta up a hill and really help keep from overworking either motor.
Better than the complication you explain above? Remove rear hub motor. BBSHD only. Aftermarket controller. 80 amps. 72v 30 amp-hr battery minimum. Field weakening for high motor RPM. 4000watts. Less is more and lower weight. The bike would do 45mph with what I described.
@@lukewalker1051 man that sounds awesome! I just can’t stand the way a big triangle battery ruins the bikes aesthetics. Even I a bag it looks less sexy.
is there an installation video? and how do you charge it with two different batteries?
Is it a 20 inch petbike rim? The tire is a motorcycle tire. I'm curious about the tire size.
Love your build. Can you do a setup video on how you put it all together? I'm considering getting a RX soon and your mods are awesome 👌🏻
Please make an actual video of the install. You got a nice setup with a bike stand and everything. If People could see the full install , they would buy bbshd or similar .
right in my back yard. just picked up a 72v 5kw setup. Installing soon... s73 rx
This is like the absolute exact opposite of a group of Harley riders. No stench either
Get you flared trousers own don't forget you bicycle clips lol only joking good job on the build mate loving it I really am respect 👍🏻✌🏻🤝🏻💯
Kicking Ass and taking names with respect of cause lol ✌🏻👍🏻💯🤣
Have you been able to merge the 2 motors to one throttle controller?
If the throttles are the same you might be able to splice them into one all nice and neat with solder, and shrink wrap. That would be crazy.
You don’t want the throttles linked together. You use them at different times at different levels depending on where you are riding. It’s just difficult to use 2 throttles.
Now put a 72v controller on that bbshd with a 72v battery, Bet you get 40mph up a hill
