Woven pattern
I have been looking through various you tube videos on tying flies. I came across a couple tying woven patterns. The flies look beautiful and I decided to give it a go, this is one of my first attempts.

The first outing of the season with members of the Vale of Leven Angling Club and the Walking with the wounded army veterans charity. It was a beautiful spring day and all enjoyed it although there was a lack of fish caught.

A brave contingent of members braved the strong winds to enjoy the challenge of fishing Frandy Fishery. This was the second club outing of the season and although challenging was enjoyable and in a beautiful part of our country.

I recently stayed at the Dunkeld House and fished the River Tay. The hotel is majestic and top-notch. Fishing the Tay is a challenge but worth the experience. (june 2024)
I’m sure I’ve seen you down there that day from across the other side when I was out a walk. Do you fish there regularly? I’ve stayed in Dumbarton about 6 years only had the permit the one season for the leven. This has been my first year on the Clyde. Had a good 10 trout in Clydebank but going to focus on the castle and further up towards cardross 👏
Cardross usually good but can get busy. Levengrove can be good out from the park. You need to be careful where you go as there's soft sand. I usually park down between park and houses and walk out fishing between the two red bouys
They are there mate had six this season and dropped twice that … all the same spots … try the bombarda and estuary fly .. or maybe change retrieve rate stop and spin .. good luck and tight lines

Brilliant Michael, lovely video. Would be nice to see a fish lol! Loved the drone footage of the Estuary, would be great to see you cover some of the Leven by drone to 'join' or link to Loch LOmond. Great scenes well done!

hi is this a beginner hill walk is this suitable for my first one??
The striddle is called the horse shoe as the name suggests is like a horse shoe, you need a certain amount of fitness to climb the hill and knowledge of the path. It is a pleasant walk but can be challenging for your first walk.
