If you remove the cover from the furnes, you will find a sensor top left.Or top right side clean it reset it or replace it

5:25 When you described tapping the side of the panel or tapping the valves, I remembered I had some luck getting it to work in the past by slapping it on the side, so I tried giving every wire and line a wiggle. Suddenly it fired up..... I live in a rental so I'll likely just ask the landlord to fix it, but at least I have a temporary solution! Thanks!

Well, that worked! Just knocked in the right place with the screwdriver handle and it started up. , , , That was after I cleared out the summer spider webs-which might themselves have been a hindrance-maybe some kind of fire prevention block the heater has?

I have the exact same heater and it’s crapped out. I thought it was a thermostat. It’s not. Do you know the part number or where to buy the heat sensor switch? Thanks

Weve always had to bang on our heater when trying to get it to fire for the 1st use of the season! The hubster says we just have to knock the cobwebs out of it lol. Im going to send him this video! Ty so much!

All wiring needs to be as "solid" as possible.. your dealing with millivolts

Hey buddy!! Your not alone with this issue with cozy wall heater!! I was just about to change my gas value, when I ran into your video. Like you I tried everything!!! Now I will finally try opening up that little air flow vent. I really hope that permanently solved your problem. And it will solve mine also. Either way, thank you for putting this out there. Maybe try cleaning the flame sensor w/ Emory cloth or even a dollar bill

Oh my fucking god. We just had a huge storm here and my cozy furnace stopped clicking on. Found this video, gave the gas valve a smack and it turned on. Gonna get around to properly fixing it but THANK YOU

Anybody know why the flame, when turned on pulses like a heart beat? Has a new gas valve, new thermopile. Etc.. was fine the other day..

Great video thank you. So here’s how I fixed mine. The 2 wires leaving the thermostat, through the wall, then popping out of the wall to connect and be screwed down in the bottom of the heater had a bad connection. There is about 12 inches where they come out of the wall and directly where they connect to the heater underneath…they were broken sometime in the past, twisted back together, painted over, etc. So I made sure the pilot was lit, turned the thermostat to 80 deg…and nothing happened…but when I wiggled the 2 thermostat wires, the heater started up (you can hear it). So the fox should be untwisting the weak connections, cleaning each wire with some sandpaper & twisting back together, then taping.

Thanks. After watching your video I pried down on the safety switch contacts in the upper portion of the heater and waalaa, heater fired right up. It's currently working and hasn't cut off after 30 seconds of heat. Thanks again

How do you get to the switch?

My problem is the flame is to high after i put in a new gas valve.. trying to figure out how to adjust the flame..

Anybody know why the blue flame goes on, flickers like it wants to die, like air is coming through. I just installed the gas valve. It starts up good. But the flame is the problem? And the flame went out once.

I did exactly what you did and my wall heater turned on so thank you very much for putting the time and sharing your tips because it did make a difference on a cold night that I needed the heat to be on and saved me the time from calling gas company and wait and all that. This video solved it! Thanks so much. I was throwing our kid towels on the heater for 30 seconds to warm them up post bath. The towel tripped that switch so simply pushing the button reset it and voila-it’s working again. Lesson learned!

Millivolt systems such as yours need extra heavy gauge wiring. I tippled up my wiring to the thermostat. You can also use 14 gauge Romex as your thermostat wire.

Is a millivolt system, digital thermostat will work but is not the best, you need a bimetal thermostat, keep it simple

Thanks for the video. For me, the "safety wires" at the very top of the heater were loose. It took removing the cover to figure it out.

I have a very old cozy furnace and every now and then i have to tap the safety switches with a screw driver and then it lights back up and works fine.

Thank you Sir! Finally someone who learns to be construction savvy! That was EXACTLY what happened to my furnace! Frustrating because once it heats after kicking it, hitting the side with a hammer, a broom, etc , you go to sleep,. Only to wake up 45 minutes FREEZING 🥶! No real sleep... UNTIL your suggestion! Sleeping like a baby! House? Warm as ever! Thank you and can't thank you ENOUGH!
