Its smoking..... them 2 strokes are old
Just as expected, the 250r comes out on top
If it ain't and R then It ain't shet.
If you ain't mixing gas then you ain't kicking ass .
You tell em Ricky and I still have my 500r however at 48 and a bad wreck I don't stand it up as much
better too rich with the 2 stroke.
That's a good matchup the 350 4-stroke versus 250 2-stroke. And of course the two stroker won! I miss my cr500r but the neighborhood and the cops don't miss it at all. 😂
Still got mine but at 48 I don't stand it up as much.
It's supposed to smoke it's a two-stroke! 😂
My 82 250r air cooled had 32mm carb and fiberglass reeds and dg pipe would destroy 350x's
YOU DO NOT USE AN APOSTROPHE AND AN S TO MARK A PLURAL WORD
@@diepionoobygaming9423350x aint a plural word you pronounce it with the s when using it plural why write it different
A legend
How many more times was he going to knock it down into first😂 stepping on it like a cig butt
Had to make sure he wasn't in 17th
Damn i miss my 250r the good ol days
1986 Honda ATC 250R.... STILL the sexiest most beautiful vehicle ever produced. The 350X ain't bad either. Grew up riding these legends, and miss them dearly....these video's always put a huge smile on my face and provide magical nostalgia.
Had way more fun on a 250SX than on my 350X . Electric start , reverse , lights come on without engine running. Could crawl over big fallen trees, etc.
Yeah, the 350X was always more of a sport trike than a general riding trike like the 250SX. That's a 4 stroke, right? Or is it the same 2 stroke that's in the 250R? I have a Yamaha 225DX which is pretty comparable to a 250SX and the smaller riding trikes are definitely a lot of fun
@@motormouth2472 Yes , both 4 stroke. Friend of mine also had the yamahopper 225DX . Very comparable machine to the 250SX.
350x guy is eating 2 stroke smoke on his 4 stroke joke.
😂
4 strokes truck, 2 strokes suck
Minecraft head isn't wearing a helmet..... tell me you're retarded without telling me you're retarded.
The 350X was one of the best machines Honda ever built. So was the 250R lol
building a 200x, with 350 suspension and stuffing an xr650r engine her. going to make it look factory as possible. Talk about a rocket ship!
Still upset of building my 86 350x from ground up literally was showroom had 11k invested over a 3 year build rode it 4 times got behind on rent in 2018 sold it for 1400$ sttttuuupid I know! But I had to pay rent had it up for a week at 5k then 4k then 3 k then 3 days before rent was due best offer I could get was 1400 absolutely killed me to sacrifice it guybwas a doosh that bought it too he knew I was in money trouble fucking price sold it for 8k a month later
This is a trip to the past!! Ive not seen either for a very very long time.
He says it is smoking pretty bad huh? It is a two cycle engine you better hope its smoking...lol idiots man i swear
I think he needs to up his ratio... 40:1 synthetic is perfect. Factory recommended 20:1?? No.
this is a horrible example of a 250r
😂 they look like they are gonna break them. Pretty much All of the 70's and 80's atc's and atv's looked really small under ANY rider. I saw a video of an old man kick starting a honda 350x, and once he sit down on it... The 350x disappeared 😂😅😂 🤣 Even the suzuki quadzilla 500 looked small and frail underneath of pretty much any rider.. especially if they were around 6ft. 200lbs.
Knew it, friggin perfect.
That 350x definitely isn't tuned right. Mine rips it would have been throwing dirt and rocks 8 feet high.
Whatever you need to tell yourself. This 250r was blowed up and still walked away from the 4stroke junk
Burning oil
Yahh lean to much gas and oil gas burns up oil doesn't goes down burns up on hot engine and pipe get sucked in come out tail pipe and make a ton of smoke
I would lean the fuel mixture a bit, high end would be insane.
Pretty close.. The 250r looked stock
😂 I got 20 on the 250 r .
I had a 250R (83 air cooled model) and was always disappointed how it ran at part throttle. I came to the conclusion that the needle has worn out the jet. I hammered the jet down and redrilled it to what I thought was proper size. That thing ran fantastic at part throttle. Problem was that it only lasted 2 miles before the piston seized in the cylinder. Got another pistor and cylinder and went back to stock with jet size etc. I came to the conclusion that the 2 stroke was tuned like a cammed up engine. Only worked at full throttle when the pipe got warm enough to get the scavenging effect. I would much have preferred the 350.
Those babies needed to be hitting the powerband. But when they were revved up they’re scary fast. I had a 200x and my neighbor had a 250r. In a race he’d kill me but in the woods or hill climbs my 4 stroke had more guts.
@@crawdad62 We had a 200x too. Very reliable. The little 90 was surprisingly fun and fast. Hard to keep the chain in good shape on that one.
If you had a correctly running 250 you would have loved it. I had a 350x and it was cool. One of the fastest trikes made. Dude ended up blowing it up bc it was leaking oil and then put a cbr 600 on it
So who won the R or X?
Not the x
Anybody have any piston rings we can get for this thing?
Which one
I can't help myself here. Worn piston rings wont cause a 2 stroke to smoke like it will a 4 stroke. He has is oil mixed a bit rich in the gas
@@Chiefonenut well maybe not but i wouldnt be surprised if there isnt internal damage if gas and oil werent done right
@@Chiefonenut bad rings will cause smoke in any engine. You are talking to someone who has spent over 30 years working on small engines
Hmmm I wonder why a 2 stroke would be smoking
hahaha right... Probably a 32 to one mix also!
@@JeepTeriyaki dont tell em, but i heard synthetic can go 50:1 all day strong.
@@michaelkeyes3856 I run 50:1 in my 97 CR 250R i actually run 50:1 in pretty much everything from my chain saws to my wheelers
I feel sorry for them poor trikes..
Your running that 250r to rich
cant fuck with the 250r. sry 350x
Safety first. No helmet nice. The 250R is running rich. Likely using cheap outboard two stroke oil. Get a helmet and get some synthetic two stroke oil.
They both started from an idle. Put two motocrossers on there. It would have been more interesting.
Both of these are keepers. 👍 Wish I still had my 86 250r and would love to have another or 85/86 350x. Rode em both alot until 96 (buddy had a 85 350x) and a race between those? A proper running 250r will absolutely smoke a 350x straight on. Add a track and it gets worse.
2 stroke! Wild. Sold my 2017 kx100 and miss it already. Time to get a quad!!!
If you wanna know a secret. Basically the 250r is race ready from factory. You can adj carb jetting if you install a pipe & silencer. Mine was bone stock except handle bars grips and sprocket and chain. I would whip banshees that were modded like no tomorrow.
Your right I would get scalded by the the 250 r in my stock banshee buuuut if you build the Yama dog it will take you straight to the e room
2 LEGEND machines! Now, I had a brand new 86 ATC250R in late 1986. Owned it 7yrs. Stock premix recommendation was 20:1. I would NEVER run it leaner than 32:1. Get someone that's experienced jetting carbs . Get in on a dyno for best tuning. Take care that machine!
Gotta crawl before we walk. Learn to ride before you try to race.
Rookies
I've rode both of these and the 250R is faster in a straight line and handles better. Plus, I love 2 strokes, so I think it's a lot more fun, too.
They didn't warm the damn thing up first 2 strokes alway miss when cold for the first 100 yards till they get so heat in the cylinder
My 350x tops at 72 mph, so it'll pass my 250r trx, eventually.
Only 72?
@@urinesoakedtroglodyte5764 that’s pretty fast for an atc. Most of the sport trikes top out in the low 60s.
@@enginesandoutdoors3238 The 350x was a 6 speed though. I think it was anyways.
@@tct72 my 250r is a 5 speed (or I just haven’t found 6) and I’m pretty sure it makes it to the upper 60s ish.
The 250rs fly! The reason why it won is because 2 strokes accelerate more rapidly compared to 4 strokes. But 4 strokes top out at a higher speed, plus they are more predictable compared to a 2 stroke. Overall amazing atc’s I hope I get one one day, the market for these things is crazy right now. You can buy a 250r for 6 thousand! 350r for 10 thousand! It’s crazy the prices.
Can buy a decent one in my area for about 2k and looks well
Wow, ya if that was the case in my area then I would have six! But for now I’ll keep using my Yamaha 225 dx and Suzuki alt 125.
So funny wen it killed
Nice! I bought a Bryston 4B brand new in 1979!
Learn how to mix the oil with the gas, the 250R is way faster than the 4 stroke 350x plus the 250R has the ProlinK Suspension far superior to the 350x!
These two clowns didn't understand a word you just typed my friend. An hour after this video was shot they went to his house, his mom's basement, made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, left got back on the bikes and did wheelies down town Main Street until someone gets severely injured or killed. Mark my words though, by the end of the night the taxpayer paid for at least one of their Discretions. Typical
The 350X was a great sport ATC. It wasn't race oriented like the 250R. I owned both bk in late 80s. Miss those machines! Quads are better tho. I'm a diehard quad guy since early 90s. Suzuki then Yamahas! Maxima or Bel-Ray premix oils cannot be beat IMO. Tho many are good!
@@Davido50 nothing rides like a 3 wheeler from doughnuts to wheelies to just plan ole fun........
@@augustwest6637 Wow, what a neg out- look! By the looks of those machines i.e. CONDITION... they either have lots discretionary $$ or take AWESOME care of those machines which takes skills (both are 30+ yr old ATCs). Think 🤔 before you write. Don't put ppl dwn you don't know.
@@Davido50 you're tripping! Nonthing is better than the Atc's.
