Well, I was hoping you would continue so I could address your accusation more fully, but regardless: I assume you are implying I stole this from Pixlate’s far superior version. It’s not clear if you mean the musical track itself or just the idea. It is true that Pixlate’s mashup was a big motivator for me to create this mashup. Ever since hearing these two songs individually last year, I had an unrelenting urge to hear a mix of the two, and finding Pixlate’s rendition was a big relief. But it still didn’t quite scratch the itch I had, and after a time, I just needed to try my own attempt. All of what you hear in this track is 100% my own isolations and mix, from the ground up using the original songs from Sleep Token. And it shows, I think. If you compare Pixlate’s version to mine, even the parts that sound similar, you will hear a noticeable dip in quality and expertise in mine. I tried to make up for it with a decent turn at video production, but regardless, I did my best. Pixlate accomplished a great deal with his mix, and I truly love his take. And I owe him endless applause and credit. But this is mine, made for myself. I needed to get this idea out, and this song you hear is the result. The fact that so many other people really seem to enjoy it is a complete and utter bonus for me, that I will appreciate till my dying breath. Thanks for listening and commenting. Hrm. I can sympathize with the sentiment you are aiming for, but I’m not sure it’s wise to tell someone struggling with mental illness or substance abuse to “do something crazy and see how much better you feel”. That correlation could swing in a wildly dangerous and unsafe direction. Also, you are downplaying the depths and extreme difficulties of addiction and mental health struggles. Overcoming these very real hurdles is generally a slow process that takes enormous effort and dedication. For anything reading this who is struggling: you can do it. You can. I believe in you and so does everyone in your life who loves you. You are so much better than you think, and you are bigger than the problem(s) that plague you. Life is not the on-rails rinse-and-repeat cycle you feel entrapped by. Freedom is something you give yourself, and you do deserve it. Keep fighting. Don’t give in. Don’t let this thing drag you down anymore. Accept that this thing only wants to hurt you, and hold you down. Show it that you are in control and that you love yourself enough to resist whatever temptation it keeps using to harm you. It’s okay. You are doing your best and that’s what matters. Go hug someone that loves you and let them help you get better. Because they do want to.

You’re not tripping. I had to pitch-shift the vocals up and then slow them down to match Euclid’s tempo. That’s why the vocals for TNDNBTG sound so weird. I did all I could to bring it back to the normal tone, but my skills are admittedly limited. Oh well. Hopefully it isn’t too distracting. Thanks for listening, btw.

That is some awesome praise, and I greatly appreciate it. I’ve listened to this endlessly since release and I definitely can’t agree that it’s flawless, but I’ll try to accept the complement for what it is. It means a lot to me though. For what it’s worth, I’m sorry that you’ve struggled with mental health. I imagine a lot of Sleep Token fans struggle in their own way. But you have made it this far, and that is an accomplishment worth celebrating! I just hope your days ahead are better more often than they’re not.

It means a lot to me that you enjoy this mashup so much. I am right there with you actually, as I find myself routinely playing this throughout my week. Though, I have to credit my daughter, as she LOVES singing along with this. I do feel a twinge of guilt that I might have ruined the two superior songs for her, but, if that’s the worst thing I ever do, then I think I’ll be okay :-)
