Oh wow the dev was lazier than Holocure(color me surprised😂) and instead of merging the old gems with new spawns its just one dedicated gem that collects all of it.

100% does not work on current patch. I keep dying at minute 17-18 and it's because the enemies get crammed BEHIND the bookshelves somehow and no positioning fixes this. Is this just a console thing or is it just skill issue? But from my experience way too many enemies spawn on minute 17 for this to work.

Nice guide but what is the second last symbol/ weapon ( before the book )? I can’t find it, not in my list nor in any weapon list online…looks kind of like an X . Without it doesn’t work, reaper kills you after around 15 seconds….

I seem to run out of time, trying to pick up the two rings and the two arrows. Worse, I often miss chests, and have to backtrack a huge distance sometimes, just in case it's like an evolve chest. I still have a lot of arcanas to unlock though, so maybe some of those will help.

Or you can just type in the secret code in the secrets tab when you unlock it. Takes about 10 seconds

Question. Does this secret boss also unlock in NG+? Have had terrible luck with him not spawning on the map. Is there a certain prerequisite to do? Or is it just random?

2024 version 1. Intended way: infinite corridor + shroud 2. Cat lady + laurel + 1or2 passives then gamebreaker 3. Festive winds (DLC) + laurel + freeze + any high dps weapon 4. Personal favourite: Phoenix character + impostongoue (DLC)

Honestly I can’t say I agree with you regarding vampire survivors’s success, after all there are already several very good and successful survivor like games on the market that don’t even use half the tricks you’ve listed. I think it succeeded because it’s relaxing easy to control action game with the characters killing hordes of enemies - emphasizing easy to control. The other tricks you’ve mentioned are definitely in use there and in general, but if you make this game even a little harder like press to shoot and aim then it’d have never seen the same levels of success.

The white reaper, known as White Hand, isn’t actually an entity. It’s a sprite overlaid on your screen that sets your health to 0 without dealing you any damage. Sadly this renders it utterly unkillable.
