I was given a task by my boss Andy Cheng, to figure out a way to capture realistic a kung fu fight. Which in all honesty, looks like slap boxing. It was difficult trying to make it look cool and real without the typical clean shapes we’re used to seeing. To choreograph an unchoreographed fight, to dirty up the camera style while being cinematic and to tell story moments without being specific. ...
Bruce Leroy vs Rock Lee extended clip PUBG
มุมมอง 442ปีที่แล้ว
ReAnime reached out to me to action direct a promo for the release of a Bruce Lee inspired character for PUBG. Nearly done with the shoot, the developers made a last minute change to the wardrobe so we had to reshoot the second half of the video 😐 Sunlight was dipping so I had to shorten the fight down. Here’s the original length of the latter half of the fight. Directed/Choreographed/Shot/Edit...

Quick concept I wanted to try out. There's two styles of action when it comes to Muay Thai (in our case, Kun Khmer), either sport combative style like you would see in a competition or hard hitting "Tony Jaa" style. But I wanted to try and make it more rhythmic and have flow i.e. Hong Kong style. Directed and Choreographed by Me Cam Op Joseph Le of Team Red Pro Myself Performers Jerry Quill Ton...

This was a last minute video we shot before our friend flew back to the UK. I originally had a bit of a story going but due to the park being a popular place to practice taiji, we couldn't capture any dialogue xD. Story was supposed to be a Sifu testing his only pupil. Starring Jay Kwon and Jon Xue Zhang. Eliver Ling and Sky Shim were our PAs.

I've always disliked shooting action with a gimbal. Tried it twice and it just ate up so much time getting the right shots and movements. Although, I was a bit unfair since I never actually operated it myself. And then I worked with Chris Cowan, who showed me the way xD. I picked up a gimbal and decided to give it a try myself. So this short is more of a test to see if I could accomplish the mo...

Kyorugi - Taekwondo Style Choreography
มุมมอง 17K3 ปีที่แล้ว
I've been known to vocally express how I dislike the new school "taekwondo" sparring. The sensors on the body protectors allow fighters to become lazy fighters because all they need to do is give the protector a good tap. Doesn't even matter if its a real kick or not. So I set out to bring the old school TKD back to the best of my ability. Taekwondo used to be a fast paced, hard kicking martial...

Dawg i'm thai and this is some fire fight scenes
Kun Khmer = Copy Muay Thai and Muay Thai Handbook to rename to Kun Khmer... Shame!!👎👎👎
Dude Thailand is younger than cambodia, cambodia is 40,000 years old, and Thailand is only 786 years old. So now who's the one who'a copying by building a fake Angkor at Thailand? Shame on you people
Why your name MALAY? MALAY is my race in Malaysia. Ru malay?
No thai copied from Cambodia
Nice Kung-fu Street fight🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
So part 2 soon? :)
I will try and shoot one soon! Just been busy =/
Loved it!! Good fight guys! How long have you been training together?
We all come from different backgrounds of training.
Only muaythai. Kunkmer just coppy muaythai
Wrong xD
Wow awesome
The poomsea presentation jacked felt a little weird with kyorugi and white pants but THE HECK it was a really cool choreography! Neat job guys, real nice.
This was fantastic! What kind of rigs and equipment did you utilize for your phone shooting this?
Cuál es Cuál
I love it!! Reminds me of how yuen woo ping and donnie yen choreography
Amazing 👏 👏 👏 😀!!
YESSSSS! SO MUCH KUNG FU!!!!! I guess it's time to go back through all your videos and watch the full fights 😅
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Incredible! We need to see more of this amazing choreography and filming in big budget productions.
I definitely tried to make it work on both seasons of Iron Fist, second season was better by far though 🙂
@@MalayKimCan We Please Get On the Edge Short film on Ur Channel cuz Now U make me wanna watch it So Badly? 🥺🥺🥺🥺
The “A knife? Really?” Got me 😂.
I really love this style..... Shoutout to Cambodia and Thailand ❤
What was kick @1:06 ? It looks like a tornado kick, only backwards. I snapped an ACL with a tornado kick decades ago. I notice there is very little Kwon (fist) or hand strikes in this. I know kicks keep you further from you opponent (at 6'3" that was always an advantage for me) but there are many times the "combatants" are within fist striking distance and rarely use any punches.
That’s called a 540 hook kick or some people call it cheat 720. In the Olympic style TKD or WTF style, mostly kicks are used to attack the target. Punches are only allowed to the body and even then, those are rarely performed.
What was the song at the beginning in the ringtone?
Butterfly from Dance Dance Revolution xD
Kunkhmer original one
which one is muay thai & kun khmer? what the different?
The different is they have different name.
Its like hworang and baek do saan
xD
Well done. Excellent TKD fight scene.
Mind my ignorance, but is that the Cantonese pronunciation for bajiquan? If so, just curious, what is the mandarin version of choy li fut?
No ignorance on your end, especially since you’re asking for information =). Choy Li Fut in Mando is Cai Li Fu.
This looks so good. Might as well right a good script and actually make a kung fu flick. I like kung fy killer and dragon tiger gate. Go all out lol
" King Copy " Cambodia 🤣
Throughout the thousands of years that humans have been around, we borrow many things from each other. That’s just how the world works.
Khmer was thriving before thailand even existed. What do you mean?
This was amazing!!
Very cool! Great choreography I just don't see in movies anymore. I loved this!
Where was this filmed? The scenery looks amazing!
This was filmed at a park in Calabasas, CA. But finding this exact spot was a bit of a trek for us haha
This looks fine !
🥺😺
🤣🤣
Siam is thief stolen land and culture from Cambodia Khmer empire's fight!
But Siam never been a colony while you are. Seems your Martial Art could not protect anything

Framing wise, it felt like Tarell and Jay were too far apart in the first half with the wide shots. They're swinging at each other but it feels like the hits don't feel threatening. It isn't until the 2nd half, the medium shots being much closer and the distance between the two feels more realistic. Personally, I think it'd scary to add an eye gauge attempt but I get this is more of a spar than a fight where they try to kill each other.. I think what makes the famous SPL fight so visceral is because the swings and hits felt scary. Obviously they're holding weapons so the cuts feel more painful, there's an established story and Yen likes full contact. Both of them mention in the BTS that they really had to move their bodies using big movements while staying precise. In a way that made their attacks feel threatening while also not trying to actually kill each other. Its finding that balance where one tries to convince the audience that they can kill with one punch but also not actually hurt their co-star.
Interesting choreographic experiment. Love the sloppy shapes and the old-school attire and film quality. The overall form looks cleaner towards the second half. It seems what is stereotypically "southern kung fu" (I'm just using my ignorant internet knowledge here) made with intentionally messier hand techniques for realism does look more like a slap contest. I wonder what a realistic "northern kung fu style" would look like with its longer range more acrobatic strikes and kicks. Maybe a bit of what we saw with Wu Jing's wide circular knife swings in SPL?
Heh, I like the added "swish" sound of the clothing, very Hong Kong.
Superb :)
Awesome video
My favorite movie of all time from back in the 80s was the last Dragon, Bruce Leroy has the glow.
Dude, I love the choreography! Well done!
Hell yeah, thank you sir 🙏🏽
i need more of this in my life.
I’m trying! Haha
@@MalayKim wish i was in shape to do stuff like this >.< or knew how to do anything like this x_X
The theme is from rush hour
Close, not the theme song but it is part of the soundtrack.
Good no.
In my opinion, maybe khun khmer muay Thai, and lewdwei are the same things because, in the past, we had many wars causing the area to change all the time, so we may come to learn and change cultures often, but... 0:27 this block technique is not from SEA martial art for sure, it is from Chinese martial arts.
hahaha kun Khmer Why is this name I've never heard of before and Wikipedia has no information and origin?
They just crave it in ankor temple 's wall
nice, you guys just like Indonesia and Malaysia…
