Maintenance tips and repairs for 9th generation Ford F-150s, F-250s, F-350s and full size Broncos. Follow us around while we scavenge and harvest parts from trucks we find and keep our corral of six F-150s running.
Repairing 1992-1996 F-150 Interior Panels with Safety Wire
Repair your broken and cracked plastic interior pieces on your truck using a small jewelers hand drill and some .020" stainless steel safety wire.
While this example is on a 9th generation F-series Ford truck, this type of repair can be used on any make and model vehicle.
I tried to go into enough detail for a hobbyist and/or person that knows their way around a toolbox. There are plenty of other videos that show you beginner and/or novice how-tos on plastic repair. So please do not give the video a "thumbs down" for that. Please click over to watch one or two of those and then come back over here when you want to advance your plastic repair skills.
If you are compelled to give this video a "thumbs down" I got a favor. Please leave an intelligent constructive comment and let me know why you feel that way, BEFORE you do that . My goal is to make better videos and I can't do that without your help.
Hope this video is helpful to ya and thanx! for "clicking by" the Little Red Toolbox"

Lucky find of a 1995 Ford F-150 XLT that was being used for Jaws-of-Life training by our local EMT's and Firefighters. We harvested a lot of good sought-after parts. We show you how to remove some of them with the least amount of damage to the parts. Good stuff that we got this haul are the black instrument bezel, the gauge pack with a tachometer, aluminum wheels, stainless steel wheel-lip trim...

Go Broncos!
I did pretty much the same thing. I used Brock Replacement 6 Piece Set Headlights, Corner and Side Park Signal Lights $87 off Amazon. Came with new headlight bulbs although, I bought, OXILAM 2023 Newest 9007 HB5 LED Headlight Bulbs from Amazon $39 I only had 1 plastic piece that was a hair short not allowing the clip to slide in. I took a razor knife and widened the slot just slightly and worked fine. I also took all those threaded plastic pieces, added a bit more grease and ran them up and down a few times as they were pretty stiff. Loosened them right up and was no need to replace the up and down adjustment piece. I also left out the bezel with the turn signal and side light waited for dark and adjusted the headlight as you cant do left and right with the bezel on, so I didn't bother copying the existing measurements.
Nicely done. I’ve found there’s more than one way to skin an OBS headlight replacement… Thanx for sharing.
Im about to tackle this same project. Before I dive into it, I'm lost on how the belt gets reattached? Right now my dryer is DOA. Got power, clicks, doesn't spin. Belt is loose, but still in one piece. Ordered my parts today. I just wanna disassemble/reassemble once, but the reattachment of the belt has me lost as it's not shown.
Man, just trying to figure out the orientation of the spring and out of all this detail you don’t show how to put the spring back on… dammit in to another video
Hiya Jim, sorry about your frustration about the spring installation. Nobody wants to watch a long repair video. I figured there were other videos better than mine that DIYer’s could watch for belt and drum issues. Pulley replacement quirks and issues were missing from other videos that I viewed. So in the interest of time, the details of the pulley failure was the only thing I was covering at the time. Let me know if I can help you get that spring attached. Thanx.
Ya how did you remove the bracket that goes from turn signal housing to the header bracket? I cant get to it without removing headlight and headlight wont come out without removing turn signal.
Would’ve loved to see you put the belt back on
You just totally skipped taking the drum out. 🤣😂
Circlip pliers remove those clips easily. That said I took the whole support out too. I just wanted to give everything a good cleaning and a fresh coat of paint.
Camera way too far away. Don't care what u guy's look like. Want to see the truck parts not your profiles.
I had a new $700 dryer in my online shopping cart. I couldn't bring myself into buying it without attempting to try and resolve my own issues first. I googled my dryer's model# and symptoms. I came across this video. I watched through it's it entirety and by the end of it I had ordered the replacement part for $20 on Amazon instead of the new dryer. I referenced this video and another while I disassembled and re-assembled my dryer. Both yours and the other provided valuable insight and unique tips. You helped me and my wife save hundreds of dollars. Thank you soo much!!!
moron, you skipped the importan parts
Bro this video helped so much!! God bless you man. Saved a dryer for me and I overcame my fears too and compliance repair which is an industry that I want to get into. This was my first wack at it and your video was a big help. You walked through the whole thing 😁👍🏾
excellent info. ours is making the booming noise when rolling. pretty sure the little wheels have went bad. going to need to disassemble and replace wheels.
My dryer is making a faint bad bearing noise. I suspect this is the issue. Ordering replacement now
Thank you. This video helped me fix my dryer and save the cost of a repair man.
What size did he mumble
Go to Because Stuff Breaks with Justin Peters for the complete video including belt attachment.
Everything except for the belt installation which is the most important part
Information starts 2 minutes in
Just awesome. I'm not known as a handyman, and with this video I got'r done right the first time.
I’m honestly just here to see how your spade connectors are connected to your heating element. I have that same model dryer and forgot how the cables were connected to my heating element. I couldn’t find any schematics or videos showing how they are supposed to be connected
Don't say it's easier I just watched a guy do it 10 seconds
Betty's and Jedi??
Everything is black cant see nothing!???
I’ll just let you figure out how to install the PULLY
Lol. That was the hard part. He said it was noise but nah not quite . It's a struggle unless you have a larger opening at the rear which his model doesn't. He probably was kicking himself. Shameful that he didn't show it! That would help many
So you showed everything but how to actually installs the PULLY, WTF
Lol. That was the hard part. He said it was noise but nah not quite . It's a struggle unless you have a larger opening at the rear which his model doesn't. He probably was kicking himself. Shameful that he didn't show it! That would help many
Nice
What if i replaced it but when i come to turn it on it still says filter and wont do nothing ???
I am glad you trouble changing the wheels and tires because I had heck time changing mine on my truck long o b s fords👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
In the world happened to the first part of the video
Thanks a million for this video,Using your video as a guide made this a pretty easy fix.
This is stupid wanted a video showing how to and seeing the fasteners beingvremoved showing all this from 4 ft away sucks
I have just done this, the guys are exactly correct about removing the front radiator shroud, dont even think you will get those clips off on the vehicle.
not gonna show how to put the belt on??
Lol. That was the hard part. He said it was noise but nah not quite . It's a struggle unless you have a larger opening at the rear which his model doesn't. He probably was kicking himself. Shameful that he didn't show it! That would help many
Dude thanks for the vid my exact model too, but dang you missed the main element of the whole thing, installing the pulley assy, routing the belt to it, the positioning of the drum which side goes in front or rear and how to put the front parts back on.
Good until getting the belt reattached to the pulley. Only got a 4” hole in back of dryer to work it blind.
What is the size bulb for marker light and running light?
How do you put the belt back on?
Yes i needed that info also
lmao ..you sorta skipped the part where you show how to get the belt back on with the new part and dryer drum in...LOL guess we have to figure that one out
Facts
I’m stIll wondering the same thing bro!
@@nathanielx23 how did you do it?
Thank you so much! I live on a tiny island in the Caribbean and we do not have a Sears store nearby. With this easy explanation I was able to repair my dryer by myself! 🤩🤩🤩💪🏽💪🏽Thank you!
Sophia's truck is so cool what engine is it and what transmission is it? Just Curious. And hey I am a 1992-1996 Ford F-150 Rider too.
Thank you for this video! my dryer suddenly stopped working mid cycle and thanks to your video I was able to diagnose and repair my dryer myself and save money while my husband is deployed. 🙌🏻 you just saved me a bunch of money not calling out a technician.
How much does that dryer cost?
Nice truck I wish I had one like that
Great video! If I'm changing the turn signal and side marker as well, do they just unscrew/unbolt from the headlight trim piece?
Dude super easy instructions and was able to get wife's dryer working again! Thank you bro...
Show how the belt goes on.
Lol foreal
Lol. That was the hard part. He said it was noise but nah not quite . It's a struggle unless you have a larger opening at the rear which his model doesn't. He probably was kicking himself. Shameful that he didn't show it! That would help many
Just changed our idler pulley today, thanks for the video
I really lucked out finding your video! Ran into the same exact issue with the same exact model # Samsung dryer. Saved me a big headache. Thanks!
Doesn't show him taking the nuts off for the bezel. I have a 92 F150 that I cannot reach the nut closest to the fender.
its a 11 mm nut remove battery on right side and remove washer tank on left side to get to the nut
