Meu sonho ter uma desa
If you don't mind how much was the saw?
The Sawmill was 13.5k with the trailer package. Without the trailer it would be 10.5 to 10.8k as it sits. This mill has 17 feet 8 inches of bed rails to cut on. The shorter version is a bit cheaper. Without a doubt I buy Wood-Mizer again. Made in the USA and I have local dealer within 1.5 hrs of me.
That must smell good
Smells phenomenal!

It surely is. Thanks for watching.
So what are you making! Scrap wood!
Originally was going to use the beam as one of the legs on a workbench. Once we got into the wood it was pretty clear the wood was basically firewood.
😢is.that not dry rotted
It was terribly dry rotted. To make it worse, we paid $80 for that beam from a "reputable" store.
@@MrJoRobb sorry to hear that it does happen
Would of liked to see more close ups of the quarter sawn grain. The two middle piece you should book match and glue them together with butterflies. Make a great bar.
Noted and thank you for commenting. We are always open to comments, questions, and suggestions!
Do you throw water on it so you can see the grain pattern or for a different reason? Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the question! I did that to pop the grain so you guys can see it a bit better.
@@MrJoRobb That’s what I thought but wasn’t certain. How long do you have to dry those before you can use them? Lot of questions my bad lol
@derwoodsdiy7710 We have a kiln with air flow, so anywhere from 3 to 6 months, depending on how dry the wood is when we cut it. Questions don't bother me at all. Ask all you would like!
@@MrJoRobb I appreciate it. I’m a woodworker but the price of wood is completely unaffordable so I’ve thought about slabbing my own. Maybe just a small, diy saw mill. I know very little about the milling side of wood production. It’s very cool to watch it.
@derwoodsdiy7710 That is why we got into sawmilling. My brother and I also do woodworking. We make cutting boards, challenge coin holders and name signs. Once we have enough of the Oak we have been milling over the last 3 months dries we are gonna build farmhouse tables and benches. We have an Etsy link on my channel by the way.
Wow!!
Thank you!
Great video! Not to fast and not too slow.
Thank you! I may take this and speed it up a bit as well.
Nice video! How long did it take you to cut this log up in realtime?
Great question! It only took about 25 minutes in real-time to cut this log up.
Very cool ❤❤❤❤
Nice, i want one
It has been awesome so far! Thanks for watching.
Why did you shim the cant before cutting?
To get a level cut to square everything else off of.
Crazy how yall went from 13 subs to 500 something so fast im so proud 😌
Very cool ❤❤❤❤
That is why you run a metal detector.
The blue stain on the end of the log tells you there is steel in the log. The metal detector only tells you when you will hit it, not how to miss it.
Great info, gentlemen! We are still pretty new at this. Any help is welcome.
I always change blades after hitting metal. Otherwise your sawing speed is cut in half and you get horrible cuts.
Normally, we would, but we had suspicion we would hit more, and we did.
Very cool ❤❤❤❤
Very good ❤❤❤
Thank you!
This was a challenging cut.
OUCH! Glade you guys finished it out.
Agreed
Sucks that you guys hit metal but awesome you were able to push through it.
Had no choice. We got it done. Still got some ok wood out of it.
Amazing
Thanks
The oak specie name?
It is Water Oak.
@@MrJoRobb Thank you
@@Jona_Villa No problem
Same color as cash money
Agreed!
That is an awesome burl right there. Those are going to make some great end tables.
Good looking boards there. That’s going to make some awesome table tops or countertops right there.
First burl! We are excited!
Super cool
Massive burl on that log at the end!!!
Be sure and watch until the end to catch a glimpse of the next video!!
Very good ❤❤❤❤
Thank you
Very good ❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks 😊
Nobody likes red oak. I happen to like it and I get it all quarter sawn. It can be beautiful, thanks
Personally I like Red Oak better than Cedar. It is more robust to build with and I love the grain in it.
yup you made boards. Bravo Foxtrot Delta
good looking red oak lumber there. about a million years from now when its dry it will make something beautiful.
🤣 Right! It is pretty wet.
Awesome video! This is definitely the best video I have seen from you guys! Keep this up for sure!
Wow, thanks!
Phenomenal video! Straight to work and no messing about at all! Great job!
Thank you!
Watch til the end to see the grain!
Awesome video! Based off the footage it seems like you guys got a new camera.
Same camera just got better lighting. We do have some better cameras as well. It's just been slow on content. Had to move the sawmill due to 13+ inches of rain on the property.
Hey you
Good morning to you. Do you have a question?
Hey I get
those are some beautiful boards!!
I think so too! Some of the most beautiful Boards we have had on the sawmill.
What is that a million dollar picnic table
That's some beautiful ceder
Yes it is!!
Gorgeous!
Thank you! 😊
Cedar is such beautiful wood. We don’t often get any. We do cut a good bit of cypress though.
We have loads of both available, but Cedar is almost a nuisance wood in our area of Texas. Folks don't want them in their yard. That is how we get the Cedar for the videos we have done so far.
@@MrJoRobb Aw yes! We had a guy ask today if we’d cut some cedar for him. We had quite a number of trees down in our area from the recent storm (tornadoes and straight line winds). It may have gotten knocked down in his yard.
how long will you have to wait for the wood to dry out enough to use in a build?
Lots of factors at play but I am gonna guess a few weeks in a kiln drying scenario.
