Whenever I read or see an Inge play, the word that comes to mind is ... longing. For purpose, love, identity, respect, kindness, attention, youth ... you name it. A surprisingly touching and well-acted production ("surprisingly" because cable quality was not always great). Thanks for uploading a rare find!

Can you believe it?! Even after one of the cops openly ADMITTED to what happened, plus the proof of where the gun came from and more, the fools STILL found those MURDERING, FRAMING COPS not guilty! And they SHOULD have been charged with MURDER!!!! Not just violating his civil rights!!!!

HORRIBLE casting. I was excited to see Learned cast as Rosemary thinking 'Thank God she can shed that mother Walton typecasting'. No such luck. She and McClanahan refused to ugly up to 1950's fashions and hairstyles impairing this production. Leigh should have played Millie. Gooner was more attractive than Harrison. And the staginess doesn't help either. Ferrell and VanPatten come off best.

I find it hard to believe that Millie would wear trousers to school! That was not done in the 1950s. I got into trouble when a few of my friends and I wore trousers in the late 1960s to school.

I remember watching it late night during the 80s. Superb acting from Ralph Waite, Paul Winfield, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Mitchell Ryan. Similar thing is happening at UAE. The migrant construction workers are controlled by gangmasters. The gangmasters withheld their passports. They live in hellholes and transported to building sites that is with unsafe conditions.

There are what seems like millions of movies like this . The same kind of feel to them. Especially in the 70's and 80's.

The only thing I didn't like was that the people didn't get on the bus and ride out of there. Why would they walk, run when they could ride?

Randy dad might have been too strict sure didn show any physical abuse ,but the mother sure didn't help by not teaching to listen
