On Project 97 2 Door Tahoe Update #28 I finally get to installing my new front gears (4:30's). It took roughly 8 hours start to finish but I imagine it could take half of that if everything went smooth. I did scrub, clean, and repaint it too though. After install, everything is great!!! No gear noise or anything and the 4 wheel drive works great again!!
But...after installing the gears, I did some touchup to the paint and actually caused more paint issues then what I was trying to fix 🤣 I swear it is never ending sometimes with this rig.
On top of the paint, I noticed that my power steering was leaking from the pitman arm seal area. That is why cheap remanufactured parts are no good. So, I sprung for a nice New RedHead steering box! That should be here shortly and I'll show that and the paint fix once it is done...
