@@Levi-nx4tm probably the slam that kills you? It pins and then you die. It punishes any player who over commits. Alatreon doesn’t do quick combos, he just does individual attacks that all have a set way to avoid. So you just need to look and see what he’s doing before you go right into your next attack and if you don’t know, don’t commit.

You never hear Alatreon roaring in the ancient forest lol. There is a weird roar SFX that can play there, but it has nothing to do with Alatreon, it's Rathalos and Rathian calling to each other. It only happens when both are on the map and when it does they fly to each other. Legiana has the same thing with Shrieking and it's MUCH creepier. Alatreon wasn't even planned to be in the game until late Iceborne afaik. I am interested where you heard that it was Alatreon?

I'd say for me a slow Alatreon is maybe 12:30 (on longsword at least) and a fast one is like 9:00. Fatalis though... every time is a gamble on whether or not I'll even win. Easily the hardest boss in a game and I beat pre nerf DLC Radahn lol. I think I've done 25 Fatalis kills only

@@seastilton7912 Funny enough. I probably find AT Velkhana harder? I play HH, CB, and LS, so maybe that somehow effects it, but she gives you less breathing room, moves a LOT faster, hits just as hard and doesn't have nearly as many opportunities for big, free damage openings (Ballista, Binders, Dragonator, etc.) I fr think she's a greater test than Fatalis, maybe that's just my weaknesses though.

Pub lobbies arnt ment for LS... So much of the kit is made for counters... But i barely get to do foresight slas in mp

To be fair, is a lot easier to show a skilled hunt when you are alone and the monster is tarjeting you all time. In multiplayer all turns... Chaotic 😂

Me when I started playing monhun with world. I'm sure other monster hunter vets would agree. There's a reason the GU servers are still alive and people still play the game. World is fun, but its just a shadow of the originals.

@ I am a Monster Hunter veteran. I didn’t share on World. The other games had aspects that I find superior to world, like the crafting and survival-like mechanics feeling more emphasised. Not to mention the weapon and armour designs in World are generally awful til the endgame. It’s still fun to go back to the old games every now and then. But there is zero doubt, the old games fall flat when it comes to combat. World is by far the best in that regard.

While I mostly agree with you, and I'm all for fast paced combat. World combat feels too floaty for me and much less grounded. Rise being even worse.

@ I agree with the floaty, Rise and Wilds were both like that. I think it’s to do with the amount of movement in animations and AI rangefinding. For me, World is optimal for it tho - I think it’s too stationary in old gen

@seastilton7912 i mean alatreon is not enraged and you couldn't benefit from agitator. He start calm and to have the bonus usually u slap him 3 times or as soon you are in the arena u slap him 2 times and send him in the wall.

@@DuelistRL don’t get me wrong I appreciate so many other weapons but World just made longsword too fun to play and too easy… it’s such a safe fall back for any monster honestly. The only time longsword isn’t the easiest is like Fatalis, where greatsword is probably easiest

My favorite monster as a switch axe main is Odagaron for that reason. When you really know the moves and his moves the switch axe dances with him SO well it’s like a cutscene sometimes

the less you panic the better,time your dodges and you'll probably beat her before 3rd nuke, if you want to take it slow you can get food skill to cart more, you should be able to go full 50 minutes with proper preparation

@@xeno3677 I suppose, sometimes I do get very low, especially when I am doing attacks while standing in ice breath, but I've thought this monster hundreds of times, so being incredibly low HP isn't really a close call to me as long as I'm in control of the situation.
